It was started about the same time as Saint Thomas University and ST High School and the Basilian fathers have contributed their rich approach to liturgy, preaching, teaching, and community ever since. The six weekend masses each have a distinct character (choral, Spanish, youth), and the large, friendly community is quick to offer fellowship to anyone seeking it. We were active members for a dozen years before moving out of state. God, I miss Saint Anne's.

My entire experience with this school has been truly awful. The receptionist once cited her own made up "11th Commandment," to justify not allowing me to pick up my own child. The school now claims I am my son's grandpa for some reason. I found errors in this year's student/parent handbook then I looked at last years and found the same errors so they're obviously copying and pasting each year and not checking anything. They excluded me from being an emergency contact and when I finally got access to the medical records they have on file for my son I found critical errors regarding his most serious allergic reaction. To fix the error all that was needed was to change 1 word on a 1 page document. It's been 4 months since I brought their error to their attention and have yet to receive confirmation that they fixed it and just today after finding out they refer to me as my son's grandfather my son's teacher dm's me telling me wtf she doesn't appreciate. This is a religious school and in the handbook the first mention of "God," is literally a disclosure that informs you that you won't get your tuition money back if an act of "God" shuts down the school. I think the Devil might be the Principal.

The DIBELS assessment tool, which can be as cheap as $0, requires no certification and is easy and quick, recommends testing to begin in kindergarten. The Texas Education Agency mandates dyslexia risk assessment beginning in kindergarten.

I find the principal of the upper school to be quite an insufferable individual, often refusing to deal with situations considered of an important scale especially on topics such as blatant bullying and exceptionally problematic behavioral issues, however many of the teachers are indeed wonderful people. On a positive note however, the school does have a wonderful multicultural aspect that allows for a child to gain a more whole and worldly perspective, though you must ask yourself before sending your child here: is being in a multicultural school worth their mental health? the answer should be no, so this school is in fact a great school, BUT only up until the high school, where I would consider sending my child elsewhere.

A teacher working with young children should show patience, encouragement, and care, but Ms. Lifsey consistently failed to do so. It also seems these concerns are known by the administration, yet little has been done to address them. While many other teachers at The Branch School have been caring and supportive, this review is specifically about Ms. Lifsey and the administration's handling of these concerns. I would encourage parents considering first or second grade placement here to ask careful questions before enrolling their child.

This place was great 2yrs ago but right now it is not Christian like. My niece started going here…read morewhen she was 20 months and everything was great until they fired the best director they ever had Ms. Chelsea. Once they let go of her everything else went down hill. Mind you anytime they fired someone it is the day of and the people get no reasoning as to why they are being fired. Couple of weeks ago their Director quit, and she fired other employees the same day she quit which then met that they could not have this location open anymore and they let all their staff out to dry to answer all the questions that the children can no longer attend there and had to find other places for their children to go. The current Director Cathy knows nothing but puts a fake smile on her face like she does when in fact, she knows zero about how to run a daycare or how to support her staff. For this to be a Christian daycare they do not treat there employees as such. Communication with parents is terrible and the turnover rate with staff proves they are doing something wrong.

They teach my 4 year old to work on life skills and being independent, they show love, support and guidance. The teachers are amazing and the before and after school helpers are very loving. It is faith based so my daughter learns about the Bible, sings Christian songs and learned to pray. They have a letter, shape, color, word and bible story of the week that the teacher emails to the parents before hand. There is a main teacher and assistant teacher in my daughters class. Before her preschool class time she usually has 1-2 helpers watching her class, then after class she has 2-3 helpers watching the group(sometimes more). There are a lot of people to watch you child, which is important. You have to provide your own morning snack and lunch, but this is perfect for us because my daughter is a very picky eater. The school provides the afternoon snack. I trust the teachers and helpers at this school. I brought my daughter from another commercialized preschool that wasn't taking care of her and I can say with confidence that this school is taking care of her everyday she is there. I know she is in good hands and I can see her growing and developing each day. I know she will be ready for kindergarten through this preschool.
