I can't recommend Scott R. Kline enough! I recently worked with him for a professional headshot session, and the entire experience was seamless, efficient, and fun. Scott has a real gift for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. He gives just the right amount of direction to get great, natural shots without feeling overly posed. The session flew by, and I walked away with a collection of headshots of my client that feel authentic, polished, and perfect for everything from LinkedIn to press materials. I also appreciate how organized and professional everything was, from booking through image delivery. He clearly cares about his craft -- and it shows in the results. Whether you're updating your headshot or building a brand, srkheadshotday.com is the place to go. Worth every penny. read more

Highly recommend using SRK for your headshot. The process was very organized what to do before you show up. The makeup artist did a beautiful job. Scott and Patricia were wonderful to work with. I can't say enough what a great experience I had. And the price is very reasonable. I'll share my photo when it's ready. read more

I've had my headshot taken by Scott Kline, of SRK twice and have been thrilled each time. The first time was 11 years ago. I just had my 2nd headshot last week. Both turned out fantastic. I look like me but so much better! read more

Scott is pure GENIOUS! That man... Yowza! The quality of his art can't be recommended enough. And his Headshot Day makes the process sooooo easy.... Patricia to organize, the makeup and hair girl there waiting to work her magic, and then Scott... so much talent! Plus they make it fun and relaxed. Also he sends you a complete end result: the headshot in high res, the headshot for the web, and both in rectangular and square formats. read more

HIGHLY recommend SCOTT + TEAM for all your professional photography and headshot needs. Very responsive, prompt, and high quality! It was an awesome experience collaborating with Scott, Pat, and Jen for my work headshot day at their pop-up in Sacramento, CA. My booking was for a classic headshot photo session, which includes makeup by a professional artist (to get you camera ready!), wardrobe changes, and posing coaching by Scott. Professional headshots for work can get stiff or awkward ~ like, what to do about hand placement..? ~ but Scott's friendly coaching helped me feel comfortable (and have fun!) to catch that perfect pic not only for the company website but also for LinkedIn and other personal branding platforms. Within 48 hours, Scott already had proofs ready and shared via email; it was hard to choose just one, since they were all so nicely and professionally done, but good thing you can keep all the unedited proofs (another perk!). Within a few days, Scott sent over the final product/retouched photo to the marketing team. Looking forward to future headshot days with SCOTT + TEAM! read more

Scott is so talented. My headshots have never looked better: and that's saying alot, since I have worked in PR for more than 30 years. He and Patricia are the height of professionalism, observe COVID safety protocols, deliver on time and the price is right. Best of all, I think he made me look 20 years younger - and made me smile! He also photographed our entire PR team and those photos rock. Highest recommendation! read more

I couldn't be happier with my results from Scott and his team. I loved that they have a makeup artist on site, which was a key factor in my choosing the SRK team. I thought I brought way too many outfits, but i got fabulous suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of. The photos were fabulous- we did several outfits with light and dark backgrounds and I had so many great photos to choose from. We worked very collaboratively and they were so accommodating with my ideas and suggestions in addition to what Scott thought worked best for the camera. My touchups were ready in about a week and I am so excited with the final product. I would recommend the SRK team to anyone. read more

I highly recommend Scott and Patricia! Our Team had such a great experience with them! We needed headshots and team photos for our new website and couldn't be happier with the results! Our shop consists of 9 guys and one woman. We sell electrical material and are pretty casual. Scott and Patricia came to our shop with their equipment and were very organized and made sure everyone was comfortable in front of the camera and the results were awesome. Everyone was super happy with their pictures and we had a great time together during the process. Scott and Patricia were able to capture the fun essence of our team in the team photo. They did it again! About 4 years later I felt my headshot was a bit outdated because I'd lost some weight. I'd gotten some complimentary headshots at tech conferences I attended yet they weren't up to par with what Scott and team accomplish. I decided to reinvest with SRK and just got the proofs back (within 24 hours) and couldn't be happier. Can't wait to see the final retouched image. read more

HIGHLY recommend Scott and team! The whole process from booking to day of was seamless. I appreciated the details and guidance before the photo shoot (all the little details that matter when you see the final picture but never think about before the photo is taken). I'm usually a little anxious about makeup but WOW! They are so good. It's you but a much more photographable version of you. During the process Scott and his team has their eye on every little detail (hair, jewelry, arms, how the clothing drapes) but the whole experience is very relaxed and fun. If I could give 10 stars, I would. read more

The entire experience was fantastic, easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. I was not a fan of photos or the camera, and I always feel like I look terrible in photos. The studio was very warm and inviting and I had fun throughout the shoot and very pleased with the images. I can't recommend Scott R. Kline's headshot day enough for anyone wanting to "up their game". Before I signed up with Scott (and his lovely wife Patricia), I had a cropped photo on my website where you could see my brother's shoulder. Now, I have a photo that makes people say "wow!" End-to-end, the process was fun and easy. From signing up, to getting ready - you can ask Scott for a recommendation if you want to get your hair done -- I went to Drybar - and he provides a makeup lady to touch up any imperfections. Plus, Scott also sends you reminder emails and links to suggestions on posing and what to bring and wear. Really, you feel so prepared and then, on the day of, it's just the fun of getting your photo taken! Plus, the price can't be beat! Scott has a lot of suggestions on how to look great and gives you a variety of great shots to pick from afterwards. During the process, you even get a sneak peak of what the final product will look like! Then, within a week, I got proofs to pick from. Now it's just time for me to post my new headshots EVERYWHERE. 5-Star Experience!! Scott and his team are amazing! I never had any kind of shooting before and I had no idea what to expect. I surely didn't expect to have fun but from the very first moment on, Scott and his team knew how to make me feel comfortable and I really enjoyed the shooting. The results were amazing. SRK Headshot Day - Great Result! - Session Photography Near Me - San Francisco, California

I needed to update my headshots and saw that SRK had a headshot day. They squeezed me in on short notice. When I showed up, the process was very efficient: Scott was there to handle the photos and there was a makeup person and Patricia who dealy with scheduling and onsite coordination. The whole process took about an hr (I think I purchased the 1 hr package). Everyone was friendly and helpful. I got perhaps 100-200 shots with and without coat, with and without tie, dark and light background, etc. Scott also helpfully tagged the good ones so I didnt have to review all 100. A few days later he sent me a link to a nicely organized dropbox and I selected 1 pic for each combination of coat or no coat, etc. He then did a free retouch on one of them and included hi res and web ready images. I am planning to pay to have the others retouched. Overall a great experience. Very good value and high quality. read more

BEAUTIFUL headshot photos for a fraction of the price of places around San Francisco. Not only are these the most beautiful corporate headshot photos I have ever taken, you get to keep ALL of the photos taken during the session. This is such a wonderful change of pace from other extravagantly priced studios which charge upwards of $350+ for ONE photo from the entire shoot. SRK let's you walk away with as many as you take during your session! I found SRK Headshot Day on Yelp and was sold by their solid 5-star rating. Once reviewing their website, I opted for the San Francisco "Express" package which cost $95 for a 15-minute photo session. I didn't even realize this $95 would mean I would keep all of the photos, I came into the session prepared to pick one at the end - this resulted in a big hug for Scott when becoming privy to this information! I was concerned before arrival if 15 minutes would be enough time for the shoot, which turned out to be MORE than enough time - we managed to snag 60+ beautiful photos in less than that time frame. SRK had another package available which included a professional makeup artist + tacked on 30 minutes to the session, but I opted to save a few $$ and do my own makeup/hair. I was happy I went this route since I fell in love with my photos, but would also recommend this other package for those who may want that extra glam touch from a true makeup artist! Also - huge shoutout to Scott and Patricia for a meticulously, efficiently run studio + headshot process. After booking my session online (through a simple interactive calendar feature), I received an email with a breakdown of tips & tricks for how to dress, do makeup, what to bring, etc. They also allow you to bring various tops to swap out for different photo options. In person, Scott was wonderful to work with and made me look beautiful + knew exactly how to position me for a perfect shot. The best part of their service, was that within ONE hour of returning home from my shoot, I had a link to all of my photos. Literally from arriving at the studio to the pictures in hand in less than 2 hours - now THAT is a fast/efficient/5-star experience. Any corporate person living in SF looking for a new beautiful headshot while not breaking the bank should look no further than SRK! The cost of the headshot came out of my own pocket and it's the best $95 I have ever spent on any sort of personal photography. Thank you SRK! read more

I'm a bit surprised to see all the glowing reviews, because I didn't have that experience. First off, they are COMPLETELY inflexible when it comes to rescheduling your appointment. I booked the session the day before and there were several openings, so there's no way I would have been taking up a spot someone else would have booked. I got a terrible nights sleep the night before my session, and I felt like I looked so tired and far from my best, with my bloodshot eyes, but they would not allow me to move it to another day and were far from understanding. My hundreds of dollars would have simply been gone if I missed. Other reviewers got sick, even had doctors notes, with near 48 hour cancellations, and they didn't allow them to reschedule either. In my opinion, this is not how to run a business. Also, the first thing they had me do was sign a release that they didn't even allow me to read beforehand! Their summary of the agreement (that I'm guessing most people just sign without reading, easy to do when they act like you shouldn't need to read it) was significantly different than what the release stated. They told me it was to sign that I am the owner of the photo, but the statement says that the photography studio is the owner of your photo, and they can use it however they like, even "without the client's approval". If they expect clients to pay for taking their picture, they should expect to pay models for pictures they want to use for their own promotion!! I said I don't agree to that, so they marked out that portion of the agreement upon my protest, but still, the agreement says you can't publish your own picture online without citing their business in the photo. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion. Lastly, I simply didn't think the photos they took were very good. I think their lighting isn't great, and I looked better in natural lighting than I did in their pictures, which seems silly to me, because ultra flattering light is what makes professional pictures great! Lighting is what makes celebrities look amazing in movies. read more

WOW! What an AWESOME experience! I needed to change my LinkedIn profile picture and I am so happy I was introduced to Scott. I highly recommend the 30-minute photo session versus the express photo session because 1. The overall session was great starting from the vibe when I walked in 2. Makeup. This is the first makeup artist I ever liked and I am planning on getting a makeup lesson from her later on. 3. Scott really knows what he is doing. While not somebody that is NOT usually inclined to write a review for a business of any kind, after receiving the service that my girlfriend and I did at SRK Headshot Day I felt strongly compelled to share our story; if not merely to say thank you, than to pass along what I would consider to be invaluable information to any of those in the midst of researching local photographers... That being said, Scott and his team were not only professional in every sense of the word but they quite literally turned something that I LOATHE (taking pictures) into an experience that had me completely comfortable, laughing, and looking likeMF George Clooney, haha! The appointment was painless, his makeup and wardrobe suggestions were spot on, and the time and attention to detail he put into my extensive "re-touches" were more than I could have asked for. My girlfriend has the luxury of being beautiful regardless of extenuating circumstances but it takes a true professional to turn this ugly mug into something I am proud to show off! Believe me, If you are professional looking for a headshot, need to merely update your resume, or simply want to wow your loved ones, you are in good hands with one of THE Best photographers in the Bay. DO NOT hesitate to call this man; It is worth every penny! Furthermore, not only do I strongly recommend this service but I plan on being a repeat customer for years to come! read more

Scott and Patricia are a fantastic team! Their communications are thorough and timely and they answer any questions right away. Scott sends a helpful email guide before the shoot to help guide in your choice of tops/jewelry/accessories and explain the process. In person, they made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and Patricia (who is in PR) gave me tips for my LinkedIn profile while I got fabulously (= appropriately) made up and styled by a makeup artist. My makeup looked natural and brought out my best features. Scott worked very efficiently, talking me through poses and making it fun! We had 100 great shots in minutes! I love the editing on the final that I chose, too. It was so easy to choose a photo because Scott sent me a Dropbox file with all my images, but also another with his favorites, in a range of poses and the tops I'd chosen to wear. SRK Headshot Day - I'm so pleased with this shot! Thank you Scott! - Session Photography Near Me - San Francisco, California

I have never had professional head shots but thought it was time to get a new shot. I didn't know where to start so I choose one that had good reviews and signed up for SRK Headshot Day. They have specific Bay Area locations depending on the day, you choose a location, time and pay the full fee. The cost is a bit pricey but I thought of it as a good investment. I had some issues signing up but Scott called me the next morning and got me setup. He was very nice on the phone and not pushy at all. Right away you get a welcome email that had suggestions and what to expect. I brought a few different colored shirts to my visit. The headshot location was a small location but it felt friendly, modern and fun. You first get some light makeup to take off the shine and then you meet Scott. The whole time I felt very comfortable and they really go out of their way to keep it laid back, fun and confident. He did a great job of making you smile naturally and I really liked that he showed you the shots as you go. The time went by fast but plenty of shots with multiple shirts were taken. The time frame to receive the first proofs (which you cannot save and have a watermark) was said to be 2-3 days via Drop Box, but I actually got them by the time I got home 2 hours later. Once you choose one picture you like, Scott and team will then make some final digital touch ups and provide you the savable high quality versions (took about 4 days). Just note, you only get to choose one photo, if you want more there are additional fees. Overall I was very happy and recommend their team, even if the cost is a bit high :) read more

This is the best service! I had so much fun, and my headshots look amazing. I love how they do the makeup for you. Scott and Patricia run a professional team that is responsive, skillful, detail oriented, thoughtful and well equipped with the latest technology in an elegant pop-up studio setting. Their website is informative and helped me select the right outfits to bring. Significantly better experience than the $120 head shot shoot I had done with another outfit that showed up at my place with a camera and a well intentioned but seat of the pants photographer who despite a redo submitted a less than acceptable work product. Should have gone with Scott and company the first time around. read more

I signed up for Scott's headshot day about 7 years ago and was really impressed with both the finished photos and also how easy the experience was. I recently needed to refresh my headshot for my website and booked with him again this month. This experience was great as well. He tells you exactly where to stand, where to look, how to tilt your head, what to do with your arms...so helpful! The makeup team was professional and friendly both times. And as a trans/non-binary person, I felt comfortable working with the whole team because they made it clear they understood my requests for minimal makeup or "just do whatever you'd do on a guy" to reduce face shine on camera. read more

This was my first experience with an "official" headshot, and I simply could not be any happier. The process, from start to finish, was simple, with a simply amazing outcome (if I do say so myself!). Scott and his team were welcoming, friendly, supportive, and incredibly responsive. Their professionalism was great. Securing an appointment in Menlo Park was super easy, and they communicated with me at just the right frequency to prep me for the session without overwhelming me with junk email. They also OVERdelivered on every promise. "These will be available in three days for you to review." Nope, a day and a half. I love that. Most importantly, I was comfortable throughout the process. I hate being photographed. Just hate it. Scott and Patricia made the experience much easier. They sent very good emails beforehand to help prepare for shoot days (with diagrams showing which types of collars photograph best). And advised me to bring three changes of clothing in solid colors. Once I got to the shoot, there was a makeup artist (Erica, who was great) so I did not have to deal with makeup at all. I was very happy with all of that. Afterward Scott did the touchups very quickly and was very responsive to my questions. Mostly I appreciated how they put me at ease during the actual shoot and their great sense of humor.
