This place is great--the selection of pay-what-you-want books is really interesting, and the second floor is filled with an eclectic mix of books, from religion and philosophy, to medicine, to poetry, to geography-specific books. I always like to peruse the medical books, where you may find a new(er) book about updated technologies, or old hygiene guides from 1921. I never know what you're going to find when I go, but I'm always happy with my visit. They do have an online system that allows you to search for specific books, but I've never used it. The people who run the shop are nice and always happy to help. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

I would not get any beverages from here unless it's sealed. The hours fluctuate often. I have made one too many trips during the weekday, weekend, daytime or afternoon to find the door locked. And I'm not aware that there's communication given ahead of time about their fluctuating hours for the given day. If you need to get your fix from a book, just buy it because there's no guarantee you can read it the next time you plan to.

The coffee bar surpasses expectations. The drinks are great, especially because of their unique syrups and drink combinations. I have enjoyed lattes and fruit flavored lemonades, and my favorites have been the strawberry matcha and the blue velvet latte, which featured blueberry roobios syrup. The employees have also been very nice and it is cute inside. There is space to sit and read or work near the coffee bar - you are able to take your computer and work there with a drink from the coffee bar, without even needing to buy a book. But, I did notice that they have a very large collection of musicals and film soundtracks (the former of which I am a major fan). The rows and rows of what I think is their back stock not in the main center of the store are also a sight to behold. There are also a lot of hodgepodge bins at the front of the newest and "hottest" arrivals, as well as employee picks. I'm sure I'll be back here again. There must be 50K records in here. I recommend this local gem if you are looking any retro and non-console media/gaming/ etc. --Service/Staff-- The staff knew their stuff. Friendly and energetic. I wouldn't mind spending time there to nerd out on pop culture. --Food/Products-- Wide range of media from video games (which I was interested in) to CDs to toys to many Blu-ray. It's like a Gamestop and Best buy in media selection all in one. --Capacity-- The Forbes Ave location is kind of small. Even on a busy weekend, there was enough space to comfortably browse through. The staff behind the counter appeared friendly and knowledgeable about their inventory and the business. We didn't purchase anything, but thoroughly enjoyed browsing through and added several books to our "need to read" lists.
