I contacted Brightway to estimate powerwashing a patio, 2 umbrellas, vinyl fencing, and a pathway circling a pond. Sean Stiles, an affable fellow, was quick to respond, walked the property, and sent an estimate via email within an hour or so of his inspection which included some additional work that I was not ready in doing at the same time. So far, so good. I replied, via email, with instructions of the work to be done, inquired of a better price (if possible), and conveyed my concerns about harmful chemicals that may affect the fish in the pond. I was then contacted by a fellow named Eric. We agreed on a lower price, agreed on a service date, and Eric told me that he would check with their chemical supplier with regard to my 'fish safety' concerns. The service date came but no workers. I left Eric 2 voicemails as to when I could expect them... No replies. The next day I then reached out to Sean Stiles requesting an explanation as to why no-one showed up the day before... to which Sean replied: "Hi Frank He (We) didn't like liability with fish issue. $400 something job with $4000 fish guaranty you might have a sick fish. Sorry, I thought this was understood. Thanks" My response to Sean was: "Fish not sick. If you didn't want to accept job you should have said so. Not returning calls and leaving people in the lurch AFTER agreeing is poor business. It's perfectly ok to have second thoughts. It's dis-courteous to not communicate them". There you have it. My problem with Brightway is in their lack of professionalism & consideration in how they conducted themselves, with no apparent regard to arrangements made and/or schedules altered to accommodate their service.

Reed is extremely personable and all communication was excellent, which put me at ease before he even got here. He came out to do the gutter cleaning but I hadn't mentioned the gutters had guards so he ended up needing to come back to do the job, however he went up and removed the visible trees starting to grow out of the gutters while he was here the first time, which I really appreciated. This is the first time I've had gutters cleaned and I wasn't aware the guards were an issue, so if you have guards, mention it up front to avoid any issues. He came back and instantly got to work. I have a large home so it took him a few hours to clean the gardens that had started growing in my gutters. When he was done, all the greenery was gone from my gutters and the downspouts were cleaned out. This is going to sound weird but I am looking forward to the next time it rains so I can see how the gutters are supposed to work. Since purchasing the home, the rain has been pouring over the edge of the gutter and the soffits had started to sag in places where the little trees had started growing. After he was done, there was noticeably less sagging in the soffits, which I was very happy to see. The guards were obviously not working as intended because as I said, there were little trees growing, so we discussed it and decided to not put them back on. Next year, we will have him install a different type of guard system that will hopefully work better than what was in the house when I purchased it. Overall I was extremely pleased with Reeds work and my interactions with him and would suggest him to friends or family needing their gutters cleaned. He is an extremely hard working man and I will definitely be using him the next time anything needs to be done with the gutters. Give him a try! You won't regret it.

While power washing my gutter; one of the workers stood on top of my two month old granite counter top for my outdoor kitchen and cracked it in half. I'm not sure why they did that; as they has their own ladders. I then noticed the worker trying to piece the granite back together so I'm not sure if they would have even told me if I didn't see it happen. In addition, the owner did not return my calls or texts and did not pay to repair the granite which he promised that he would. Sad because the granite was practically brand new and a few weeks later I had an outdoor party with cracked granite. Very disappointed.
