At first ABC seemed like a great value.. low cost of installation for new gutters and guards…read more Unfortunately, now that some time passed, the craftsmanship and quality are not holding up. When contacted, ABC decided to deflect and blame the roof (keep in mind no issue for years before the change in gutters) as the issue. Upon requesting them to come out and take a look to fix the issue they responded it would come at a cost.. which I agreed is fine. After several attempts to get someone onsite to diagnose and repair the issue they stopped responding to me. I've since asked other professionals to review and diagnose the issue. As one can see from the photos, a drainage issue was created by installing the gutter guard under the shingle and above the drip edge which created a bump/gap and does not allow water to roll down into the gutter. The issue is exacerbated now that it's had a few years to present itself as shown by the dark staining on the plywood. I now must pay out of pocket to fix the issue at a cost equal to or greater than what ABC originally charged me for installation of all new gutters.

I called and Alex picked up immediately. Very polite on the phone and booked an appointment with him in two days. Alex arrived early, did a walk around the entire house, told me there were 2 additional areas that needed repair, he walked me outside and showed me the areas. I was sort of sick about additional areas that needed to be replaced but frankly I could see it and of course I didn't want rain water entering the house so I appreciated his keen eye on my issues. I also had a xeriscape rain barrel that I wanted hooked up to a downspout. This was done Tuesday (excellent job and added height to it to allow for better flow, innovative!) and today Thursday the main work was done and in a tidy manner and it looks great. Alex went up on the roof the first visit and took numerous pictures, diagnosed nails and missing shingles. This was awesome to show my husband all the pictures (roof is about 30 feet high and peaked so we cannot access). Here are things that made them stand out: 1) They are certified "SELECT ShingleMaster™ (SSM)" on Certainteed's website 2) When they came to give a quote, they looked in our attic as well--doing this they noticed an airflow issue vs. how houses used to be made vs. current which they corrected when doing the roof 3)They sent us a THANK YOU LETTER for the opportunity to provide us with a quote (love this!) 4) They quoted the correct downspouts for the larger gutters we requested 5) They replaced the rubber boots around the pipes with metal ones that would not get cracked 5) They painted the pipes that are coming up from the roof black to be less noticeable 6) They explained any problem areas and how to combat this going forward 7) They put a splash guard by gutter areas that previously flooded and 8) After the job was completed, THEY SENT US COOKIES!
