This company agreed to deep clean an empty 2000 sq foot house, with walls, baseboards and window frames freshly painted. It also had a tiny kitchen that measured 7ft x 8ft. The quote was for James, an awesome cleaner, (1 person) to deep clean (selling the house) for 6 hours and 4 hours of steam cleaning carpets for $678.00. I found out when I walked into the house 3 people were permitted in my house to clean without cthe malting with me. clean staff lied about when they started. A neighbour vouched the keys were retrieved 30 minutes late. When I arrived I was shocked to find them eating their lunch not cleaning! Now here's the worst part...... they changed the agreement and asked if I would agree to pay an additional 1.5 hours, for 3 staff,to finish the job totaling $450.00. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I just checked my MasterCard and they have billed me an additional $169.70 without my authorization!!! RUN, DO NOT WALK, FROM THIS ORGANIZATION!!! Do not do it!!! You'll regret it. We booked for a routine clean, and the booking process was easy, with an immediate callback from Laura, the coordinator, after I submitted the online request. I needed someone for Saturday afternoon on a fairly shorter notice (2 weeks) and there were no issues with availability. Maria arrived on-time, brought her own cleaning supplies, and was even able to seamlessly navigate our crazy condo concierge to gain entry without our assistance. Pricing is reasonable for this area of downtown if you're going with a company, and perhaps slightly lower than competitors. We would totally hire Squeaky Cleaning again in the future! read more

Please do not hire this company! We hired them to do a move-in cleaning service after speaking on the phone with Laura, from their company. She ensured me that all the cleaning would exceed our expectations so we went ahead and booked them in. Following the cleaning services, our floors were sticky and spotted, large parts of the house were completely untouched and very obviously dirty high-contact services were not cleaned. I spoke to Laura following this service and she ensured me that if I emailed her pictures of the work that was done, she would have the customer service manager call me back. That was nearly 7 weeks ago. I have called and left a message as well as emailed but there has been no response from anyone from the company. The work they did was not even close to being the +$600 that they charged. If I knew I would have to re-clean all of the house again, after the cleaners, I would have just done it once by myself the first time. read more

ecently bought a condo. Not from the GTA area so they were referred by a local realtor (whom also referred my amazing painter and electrician). Had it fully painted so it needed a good dusting of the floors, baseboards, mirrors, counters, bathrooms, etc. No furniture whatsoever to clean around, just a few suitcases. All appliances fully cleaned prior to move in so they weren't needed. Specifically requested tops of baseboards, light switches, vents and such as those aren't commonly done by cleaners. Communication was phenomenal prior to my payment being taken which was required two days prior. I was quoted more hours than I believed was needed but was told they would refund for the time not used. Now I can't get a reply to see if that was the case. As I was out of town when it was cleaned, I wasn't able to inspect immediately. When I did arrive two weeks later, I can't even tell the cleaners were here at all. The baseboards, light switches and such are covered in painting dust. The floors are filthy. I get normal dust happens over time but this is all painting dust and more than would accumulate in 2 weeks. The mirrors and exterior of appliances are streaky which could be the only sign they were here at all. When my painter came for his walkthrough, he confirmed my suspicions that if they were here which was a few days after him, they weren't here for long at all. Truly disappointed and surprising since I was considering having a regular clean going forward too. Would not recommend and would give zero stars if an option. Update: they were supposed to come back and clean the areas not done and they were a no show. Also, as I was suspicious that they didn't come at all, I confirmed with the security log book and they didn't showed up the first time either. No replies to texts or calls. I am not sure they are worth my time writing a review as I can see all the horrible things they have done to people and continue to do. however I am writing these to save one more person from going through my experience. They have total disregard for your business, lack communication skills, never respond to calls or call back when they say they will. They failed to show up on the appointment and when they eventually did..which is days after, it was a terrible job, left my house worse than it was. pls stay away from these people, they should be closed for business and not allowed to cause people emotional distress from dealing with them. I hired Squeaky Cleaning for a post Reno cleaning for my townhouse - 3 floors and an unfinished basement. Every nook and cranny was covered in construction dust. Even the walls and ceilings were dusty. A team of four showed up at 9:00 AM as scheduled. They were very thorough and really cleaned everything. Every surface was cleaned even the tops of the doors. Unfortunately, construction took longer than expected and our new furniture was delivered before our townhouse had been cleaned. Squeaky Cleaning carefully moved each piece to clean the entire floor. I'm in Toronto, not San Francisco. Two people showed up to do a deep clean of my two bedroom apartment today. $300 plus tax for 3 hours, I was told, or six hours in total. When I showed up three hours later, the pair said they needed another hour to clean the kitchen. I was rather annoyed but told them to go ahead. One hour later I returned to find the fridge clean, but nothing else (does it really take two people to clean an empty fridge?) In another words, it took eight hours to clean two averaged sized bedrooms, living room, bathroom and the fridge. Spoke with the company manager Ryan who said the place had been really dirty when the cleaners arrived, which of course is why he and I had agreed on a DEEP clean in the first place (duh). To do a proper job you really should book ten hours, he told me. And so offended, he told me, that I had complained about the diligence of his crew. Steer clear of this company guys! I hired them for a one time deep clean and was left cleaning my house after they left. What I was initially quoted on the phone was wrong. When they got here they refused to clean my kids rooms because of toys on the floor. There was still cleaning product left in my oven that smoked like crazy when I turned it on, there were globs of toothpaste left on the bathroom counters and they didn't clean any of our 4 bedrooms. I even had to re vacuum my rug in the living room. When I called in after the service I was informed of further charges due to them going over the alotted time without asking me... and when I asked to speak to a manager no one called me back. None of my shelves got dusted, they vacuumed around my yoga ball.... it's a yoga ball for goodness sake. Move it. They were at my home for 5 hours and did what I could have done in an hour. Really genuinely shocked by the service this time around. EDIT: Squeaky Cleaning reached out to me after (see below) and offered to make things right. They went to great lengths to tell me about the A-team they were sending (in the middle of the night). How their standard for themselves and their clients is so far above my experience, and if we would only wait *a few more hours* they would send this crack team to set everything straight. Offered free vouchers, the works. Okay. I believe in redemption. So I re-sent the original order (GROUND FLOOR ONLY) and a list of around seven things that I needed done, including sheltering three rattan chairs from the backyard in the garage, cleaning out the fridge, taking the bins to the side of the house, vacuuming furniture, clearing surfaces, cleaning floors, running the dishwasher and removing all trash and recycling. I also asked for before-and-after photos of the areas that needed the most work. Two things on the list looked great in the immediate aftermath! I mean, it was in the middle of the night, so everyone was pretty tired, but the floors were clean! Then.. the next day came, and the stinking trash left in the kitchen bins began to collect bugs. So did the rotting food in the dishwasher. A guest arrived from out of town, noticed a weird smell and all thee bins scattered empty around the front yard, but went on about her day. By the time she came home - the house was teeming with fruitflies. There was rotting food everywhere. In the fridge, in the bins, in the dishwasher. All the surfaces were cluttered with an incomprehensible mix of objects (they had emptied one of my kitchen drawers and left the pots and pans all over the counter). My houseguest left and got a hotel. On my tab. They didn't take the chairs in - they got buried in snow, wrecked. They didn't clear any surfaces - it's more chaotic now than before I left. They didn't remove perishables from the fridge, or trash from the bins, and left dishes caked in food waste in the dishwasher & didn't run it, knowing it would be at least two weeks before my return. Worse still - I had specifically said please not to touch the two unframed artworks laid flat on the dining room table. They were _stacked_ with tons of dirty stuff off the floor! My personal documents they had no business touching were spread out in a fan on top of the artworks like reading materials! Medical records and bank statements! I know this b/c, although there were no "before" photos provided, one of the cleaners went uninvited through my entire house - my private bedroom (I have never had a professional cleaner in my private space), my office, my bathroom, including my most valued things.. and _photographed all of it!!_. She had gone into every private area of my home that had nothing to do with the contract we had - I have no idea what she touched or cleaned - but she _photographed everything!!_. I felt totally violated. I told management, asked why the cleaners were outside the area I asked them to clean, rifling through my private things.. crickets. No reply. I do not have words. OP below: The first time I used them, they were great! Very efficient, confirmed the day before, the cleaners came early and everything was exactly what I asked for. This time, they didn't bother to confirm a time at all until after 8am the day of. Since I am out of town, I had to arrange for someone to come and let them in. The one hour window comes and goes, I message to find out what has happened, and they told me that the cleaner was busy with another client and would be two hours late. When she was already late. I asked why no one bothered to let me know, and they said they would call me right back. The two hours late mark passes, then three. Only then do I get a phone call saying "nobody can come today" - near the end of business so I can't even arrange for a replacement. This is urgent, I repeat, which is why I booked on short notice (36h Before). The woman on the phone is distracted and bored and says she'll see what she can do. Four hours now - she says she will send three cleaners for three hours at TEN PM. That is eight hours late! The original booking was for one cleaner for two hours, paid for four (the minimum booking is 4). She told me they would give me a deal by only charging me for three hours! For three cleaners! More than double the booking price, with the added bonus of it happening in the middle of the night! It also means the person who crossed town to let them in would be at my house for twelve hours. The response is completely disaffected "well, I'll look into it" as my day melts away with any chance of a clean house. I cannot stress enough how completely checked out these people are. They are not interested in your business, they do not care about your time, and it doesn't matter who you speak to - they will not be paying attention. If I could give this company zero stars I would because that is what they deserve! This is the worst company I've ever dealt with on any level!. They are a horrible & awful company that don't tell the truth. They were suppose to send 4 experienced cleaners. Only 2 inexperienced cleaners showed up that had never cleaned a large home and had no clue what to do. I wouldn't even let them inside my house. I wish I had read the other horrible reviews on Yelp, so I never would have hired them. When I called to complain that 2 workers didn't show up and 2 were inexperienced and didn't have a clue, it was like talking to a brick wall. I believe that this is a really bad company that should be reported and be put out of business. It's so scary that companies like this exist and people allow them in their homes. The team at Squeaky clean was professional and thorough from beginning to the end. Danette who did a move in clean was excellent. She was fast but also very efficient. She was lovely to have in our new home and was pleasant to get to know. I bought my first house and wanted to walk into a new home that felt fresh and clean and Danette did just that. Can I give this company less than one star? This is the worst company I've ever hired for a cleaning service. I work in the television industry and had a team come in post-renovation to clean space to have it ready to reveal to our homeowners the following day. Not only did they have to cancel the day of but when rescheduled the team did such a poor job it looked like they didn't even touch the space. I then complained, presented them with multiple pictures and videos of the situation they only offered me a 30% refund...ANY cleaning company should either sent a team back to our space to clean it free of charge or refund my purchase for not only wasting my time but to compensate the other cleaning service I had to hire to fix their work...I am not pleased. read more

We've used Squeaky Cleaning three times. The first was okay (cleaner didn't bring any of their own cleaning supplies), the second time was amazing and the third time was concerning which is why I'm writing this review. We have a three bedroom townhome and were told it would be cleaned in 2.5 hours instead of the allotted 5 hours. The cleaners only cleaned one bedroom and one bathroom and said that they ran out of time and would need us to pay another 300 dollars for them to finish. It may sound like our house is filthy BUT it certainly isn't - we don't have pets or children and are very clean and use this service to get a deeper cleaning. I'm actually concerned what the two cleaners were doing in our main bedroom for so long. I did reach out to the head office and sadly they weren't apologetic or even remotely interested in discussing this further. I'm writing this review as I don't want others to have to go through what we did. Truly unprofessional and disappointing service. read more

Cleaner showed up an hour early, ok fine. While I was walking her through my condo and what I needed cleaned, she just kept saying yes and was not even looking or listening to my comments. I had to ask her to follow me into the bedroom and bathroom because I wanted to show her a few areas which I really needed cleaned. She still wasn't listening. She repeated in several occasions "I know what I'm doing, I've been doing this for 20 years". She finished cleaning my condo in under 4 hours and when I came to see the finished results, she said "I'm very quick at cleaning" I proceeded to walk through the condo and showed her at least 5 areas in the kitchen alone that were still very visibly dirty. I walked into the washroom and showed her the counter, faucet and tub which were still dirty. I told her these are the same areas I showed but she was not listening. She then said "oh yes dear just show me and I'll clean it." At this point, I'm so annoyed that I simply said thank you and helped her out of my condo. I asked for a thorough cleaning because I have arthritis and can't clean all areas myself. On top of that, I had a tenant and renovations done and repeatedly asked for a thorough cleaning. I had to clean the entire condo myself after she left. It was pretty bad. Sorry to say but this was a complete waste of money. Would not recommend read more

I made the horrible mistake of hiring Squeaky Cleaning. I told them that I had an empty 1200 square foot appartment that needed basic cleaning. Basic vacuuming, basic window cleaning, basic wall cleaning. That's it. There is no furniture, so how hard could this be? Well, let me tell you. Squeaky Cleaning said that 1200 square foot appartment would take 4.5 hours to clean by two people. They told me that the two cleaners would bring everything required. The first question one of the cleaners asked me was..."do you have a step ladder?" As apparently they realized that they would not be able to clean the top part of my windows. As all appartments have like an 8 foot high ceiling. Wow, so its my job to provide them with the tools they need to do their job. It was complete joke. And then they had the nerve to ask me to pay more so they could come back and clean another day. Wow. A completely empty appartment needs more time to clean. First off, if you can clean a 1200 square foot empty appartment in 4.5 hours....it wasn't really dirty to begin with. It would take two people at least 9 hours to clean an empty 1200 square foot appartment. So that is there scam. Underestimate the cleaning time...and hope they can screw you by charging you for a second day. Avoid this cleaning company like the plague. And zero effort was made on their part to try to fix the situation. Zero. read more

Absolutely terrible. I booked this a appointment a few days in advance as the booking process is easy. Recieved a call to confirm the day before. The appointment was scheduled at 12pm with 2 cleaners. Every 20-30 mins that pass by I have to call customer service and ask where the cleaners are. They tell me it's going to be another 5-15 mins. Fast forward 2pm and I'm the one that has to call back to customer service only to informed that the cleaners need to get their car towed because there's an issue with their tire and that they can't do the cleaning today. I was so pissed because not one time did the cleaners actually reach out to me by texting or calling. Instead I was the only that had to constantly call customer service. This is by the far the worst experience I've ever had. 2 hours of waiting and now I single notification from the actual cleaners. All customer service did was message the cleaners asking about how much longer. This company has terrible cleaners that do not respect their customers or have the decency to message the client if they are running late. I've been waiting 2 hours and the customer rep said no one was available. Since I expressed by obvious stress, they called back and said the cleaners would be their by 3pm. So in total 3 hours late for their 12pm appointment. They offered a 20% discount after I expressed my frustrations and turns out the cleaners don't even have a local phone plan to call the client. This is ridiculous. Hopefully these 2 cleaners show up at 3pm and do a good job because so far I'm not impressed at all. EDIT: The cleaners showed up at 3pm and a rep called me at 5:09pm saying the cleaners were finished. Imagine my surprise since it was just a little over 2 hours. I showed up and they completely ignored the closest and put the ladder in. As well as the sides of the oven. I told them to clean that up as that's apart of the move in/out deep cleaning. To my surprise, the rep calls me back at 5:54pm saying that she would need to charge me an additional hour because they are only required for 3 hours and any additional work is extra. By far, this has been a terrible experience, would not recommend to ANYONE.
