Thank you, Maidstr! I had recently had a horrible experience with an online cleaning service (Maid in T.O.) - I had booked them for a one-time deep clean prior to the long weekend. I had even phoned them to discuss and confirm. Two cleaners arrived on Friday morning, walked in and said they could only stay for 3 hours, looked around and said they couldn't do a deep clean in 3 hours (3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, finished basement, with one pet - just as I had described online), and turned around and left. This left me in the position of heading into the weekend, with guests coming, with a house that still needed cleaning. No apologies or attempts to remedy the situation or send a team that could stay longer. I was at work all day on Friday, so I couldn't do anything until Saturday morning. Despite this horrible and frustrating experience, I looked online for alternatives and found Maidstr. I booked something on the weekend and received confirmation for a deep clean for first thing Tuesday morning. A team of three arrived at the confirmed time, looked around, and got to work. They cleaned the house top to bottom, baseboards, sofa, dining room chairs, spot cleaned the walls, and did all of the usual kitchen/bathroom/surface cleaning as well. They even swept the front porch and cleaned the front mat so that new dirt wouldn't be tracked in. In just over three hours, the house was clean and I was relieved and happy that I hadn't encountered a second disappointing customer service experience. I had used Maidstr for a one-time deep clean, but because the team was so communicative, attentive, and great to work with, I plan to use them on an ongoing basis. I have probably used a total of 2 cleaning services in the last 5 years. I used one from a well known national cleaning company which was not satisfactory as the cleaner was always a big hurry to finish fast to go to her next job and thus corners would get cut. I got another from a kijiji ad and she showed up to the first two appointments and never heard from her again. So I contacted Maidstr as my colleague recommended them. They carefully explained why I needed the first clean to be a deep clean and then the cleanings afterwards every 2 weeks would be maintenance cleanings. Explained exactly what the cleaner would be responsible for cleaning. The cleaner came and did a first deep clean and then showed up every 2 weeks on time cleaning my place thoroughly. My folks and I needed an emergency cleaning as we were hosting guests the next evening. Being able to book online, and then having Maidstr follow up shortly after with a personal phone call to inquire about specific areas of concern in the house was an absolutely professional touch. Being that we were entertaining, the kitchen and bathrooms all needed to be *spotless*. Ana and Isabel absolutely wowed us. Every single detail we had requested was taken care of to the letter. The kitchen and bathrooms actually met my South Indian mother's extreme standards of clean, which should tell you something. I have to say this company is fantastic with follow-ups. Ana and Isabel were actually running late for our booking due to traffic and we were notified by phone promptly. My absolute honour to be the first reviewer of this company. Great impression from the get-go with their website reserving online and getting a call from Sophia for confirmation. My actual first time hiring a cleaning service, took awhile to overcome some guilt not cleaning up my own mess, my Mom is probably shaking her head right now. I thought that the result would be similar to what I would normally do but my Lord did the deep clean done by Mel and Mar show me otherwise. They hit spots I had no idea could been even cleaner. I used the Move In/Move Out service for my new home as the house needed some extra attention that my husband and I were not able to complete ourselves. I found Maidstr through yelp and send them a quote enquiry and within a few hours Laurin responded providing me with a quote and a few options that might interest me. A few more emails were exchanged and I was drawn in by the fact that they work 7 days a week. I went onto their website and booked my appointment. It was extremely easy. I didn't think it was going to happen, especially since it was last minute but not only did Laurin get back to me but I also got very prompt responses to all my questions. On the day of service Ana showed up and she was very professional and eager to work! I am very very pleased with the freshness and just the smell of cleanness that she left after doing a deep cleaning on my 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom apartment. She worked nonstop, until all was done. I am so impressed with Maidstr cleaning! I've used other cleaning services before, but this company is by far the best one I've ever had the pleasure of using. From the get-go, Maidstr was easy as pie to book an appointment. I originally found them through social media which led me to the company website. My very independent & aging dad lives alone and I find it so hard to always get down to see him plus give his apartment a good cleaning while I am there. So I decided to look online for a cleaning service that could go once a week. Wahoo! I found Maidstr. Their site (amazing design BTW); booking was so easy; I booked right off my mobile while I was at work. Three house cleaners showed up punctually for my tiny space (850 square feet) , and it only took them one hour to finish the job. The cleaners were polite and professional and asked me to check that everything was okay before they left. I love that they came with all their own supplies, and I love the convenience of online booking and being able to edit or make changes to services and service dates. The cleaning itself was thorough. I have had iffy results with cleaners from another company, so I thought I would take my chance on Maidstr. We had a whole bunch of guests coming over just after Easter long weekend and my mom was overwhelmed with preparations so we called Maidstr, hoping that they could squeeze us in, especially to clean the bathrooms. The lady on the other line really talked to my mom, understood her situation, booked the appointment and sent a team to us on Wednesday. This was my first time using this service and I'm pleased as punch with the service. I do so many things online including ordering groceries so it was super convenient booking cleaning services so fast on my phone. I had a couple of questions which were answered via chat including questions about where to leave the keys for them (with concierge). As for the service, Shalan and her team were extremely courteous and professional. They introduced themselves and took the time to explain the service and were committed to every detail. These folks are the real deal. We were in a bind trying to book a move in cleaning during a pandemic but managed to book Maidstr. Very easy to book online and they had a bunch of great reviews. What really sealed the deal was they made very clear on their website and during the entire booking process, including their confirmation emails, their strict Covid-19 guidelines and their disinfection routines.
