Stopped at the airport but can't find that on Yelp. Good service and attentive but a couple things to question - the bin for the burger was soggy and the burger had very little flavor. Fries were different but ok. I really don't like when the tip recommendations include tipping on taxes. I think it's a horrible way to keep wages low and push more tipping. I live in Cali and we pay minimum wage plus tips to our servers (btw - minimum in Cali is 16.90 and we tip fully above that) - not 2.15 an hour plus tips. (6/29/2023) needed some substantial brunch before getting on a cross-country flight and wanted something local-ish; we saw the Squatters Pub Brewery downtown. The place was packed, but we only waited s few moments for a small table. The Breakfast Sandwich and Breakfast Burrito (smothered in Pork Chili Colorado) were both as described, pretty tasty and very filling. The Pork Chili Colorado was rather salty, but I applied it as a condiment. The service was attentive and quick, likely used to airport dining pace. My coffee came in a to-go cup, which I appreciate in an airport restaurant, in case I gotta run. Great stop, if you have the time. read more

My usual dinner place at SLC has closed so I was casting about trying to find a decent place to eat at the Salt Lake City Airport on a Thursday evening on a three hour layover. You know how that is. Thank you, Yelpers!! Long line and a good wait, maybe 20 minutes, to get in But everyone seated and everyone standing around - about 12 ppl when I queued up, perhaps 15 by the time I got seated - seemed just happy to hv the opportunity to be traveling again, and no one was ugly. Yea, traveling public! The wait tho gave me a chance to peruse Yelp reviews; I ordered the calamari and the yellow curry with shrimp. The latter was the standout. No heat to it, which was good by me, but terrific flavor, everything melded together well without being gloppy. Hip, hip, hooray! The calamari was good too, just not memorably outstanding- or bad (always a plus) Gary was a wonderful server, observant, polite, friendly and even tho quite busy, checked in and topped off at a good pace. He really made my meal a pleasure. read more

Ordered a meatloaf sandwich on my layover in the SLC airport. The sourdough was so hard it was completely inedible. There was almost no BBQ sauce on it, and the little that was there was all on one corner of the sandwich. The sweet potato fries were OK, but cold. The best part of the meal was the half of a slice of bacon that, ironically, isn't part of the sandwich. Makes me miss the old SLC airport terminals and the selection of food options it had that are no longer available. read more

I love this place! The staff is crazy excellent at what they do, they are crazy personable and of course, the food and beer are great! Yes, I realize I have a mixed drink in the image but they are so thoughtful with their beer and food pairings, I think it is impossible to compare. It is a really popular location so if you see a line for seating, don't get discouraged as it moves fairly quickly. Tbh, I don't know that I have ever waited longer than ten minutes to be seated. I was confused by this dish. Is California and Utah huevos rancheros different? On the menu, it does explain that there is chili colorado over the eggs (already different, but, I'm willing to try this) Then it comes out smothered in the sauce with scrambled eggs, rather than over easy eggs. And I'm pretty sure there was beans or something else in the chili colorado. The salsa was not spicy. It was just off. -The waiter kept calling my husband bro. "Thanks bro." "Hey bro, we need to check your id." "Have a good day bro." It was weird. For tip, three breakfast dishes, 2 alcohol drinks and 1 non alcohol drink it came out to a little over $70. read more

I have been to this location and the restaurant downtown - both have great beer but the food and service level at the airport location are much better in my opinion. Breakfast sandwich, beers, hot wings - can't go wrong! Half the reason why I visit Salt Lake City is to drink Hop Rising ; my favorite part about leaving is to check out this pub! I usually stop here on my trips through this airport. The beer is good, but I had the fish and chips today and it was disappointing. Now it was very good, but a meager portion of fish for the price ($18) . I felt afterwards I should have gotten the burger, which is cheaper. Had an event here for about 70 people while at a conference in the Potting Shed and it was awesome! The food was great (we ordered veggie lasagna, potatoes, salmon, beef medallions, salad, and bread pudding for dessert). The service was great. They added more tables last minute to accommodate us and the space worked really well. The only complaint was that there was only two people working the entire event so when someone was cleaning and someone was getting a drink from the main bar there was no one to manage the event and I had to serve a few drinks myself to our people. Would have liked a third or fourth person in the room to help us keep lines short and things flowing. Other than that they were super friendly and even helped us surprise someone for their birthday. I saw on their chalkboard "we have local kombucha" & as I am attracted to the local and unusual I stopped in. Their 4 flavors of kombucha were not on the menu of which I tried 3; lavender honey (2nd very delicate with a honey taste), ginger mint (3rd perfect), lime mint (1st very refreshing), concord grape. I got a blackened tilapia salad which although the big piece of tilapia was overcooked everything was so flavorful that I hardly needed the dressing. It literally came out fast, in under 3 minutes Also ordered a cup of tomato bisque which the first waiter forgot. Must have been end of his shift as he disappeared. New waiter was much more attentive. The bisque was too sweet but had a good smoky flavor and some texture like I like it. They didn't have a gluten free dessert. Squatter's was recommended by several people on our visit to SLC, so we made our way there for lunch on Sunday. The food was good. I really enjoyed the wings. The atmosphere is fun. This place was awesome! Our waiter Forest was at our table within 2 min of us sitting down, brought our drinks within 5 and was so attentive. The food was fantastic and arrived super quickly even though the place was packed. Forest also told us that squatters has a 2,000sq ft kitchen where they cook and also supply the cooking for the squatters in the airport! They recycle their straws, plastic and everything in 6 different dumpsters outback and go through only 1-2 dumpsters per week! That's less than 1/2 the average restaurant! They reuse ice to water plants through a drip system. Reuse old receipts to make there to go boxes! They have a press that makes them! They are also a huge brewery that just bought out the largest brewery in Utah! You guys, this place rocks! I'm a big believer in supporting the save the ocean and recycle programs so he had me at biodegradable straws, but add to that great food, great service and a warm inviting environment makes this place a 10 in my book! read more
