They have been BEYOND accommodating in all respects, including as it relates to scheduling flexibility. I'm in the best shape of my life, and I am very grateful to NexGen for helping me get there. To address the critical review regarding billing, I can say from personal experience that they have always promptly addressed any billing adjustments that have been required when I have missed a scheduled session (because payment is made monthly in advance) and have never been dishonest in the slightest. It's extremely disappointing that someone would disparage a small business that is adding a ton of value to the local community, particularly when it falsely represents how the business is conducted.

It's the dream setup: no crowds, no waiting for machines, and no gym bros doing bicep curls in the mirror for 45 minutes. All the trainers are great but shoutout to Jason, who's the real MVP. He's calm, thoughtful, and actually listens--which is rare in the fitness world. He somehow remembers everything we've ever worked on and keeps our sessions super focused without being intense or overwhelming. I've made more progress here in a few months than I have in years of wandering aimlessly around other gyms. The studio is spotless, private, and has great energy. If you're looking for a smarter, more personalized approach to fitness--with zero intimidation and actual results--NexGen is the place.

I never realized there was so much more I could do or how much stronger I could become. Every class is unique, challenging, and somehow even better than the last. Lia is fun, motivating, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly hardcore--in the best possible way! She is also extremely attentive and always makes sure your form is correct, offering thoughtful adjustments and corrections that make such a difference. I've lost 60 pounds over the past year through a combination of nutrition, Pilates, and other exercise, but the strength I've gained from working with Liat has been incredible. I feel so much stronger than I did when I first started. I love that her classes are small, with a maximum of five people in reformer and three in Cadillac. You get so much individual attention, which was especially important to me because I came in with previous injuries. Liat is always paying attention to my form and making sure I'm doing everything correctly. She knows my injuries and will modify an exercise for me when needed while still making sure I get a great workout. A year later, I'm doing things I couldn't do when I started and feel such a difference in my strength and my body. Liat really cares about her clients and it shows. In the same 30 minutes of personal training at Parkside, Coach Connor & Coach Gabe have been able to teach me how form works so I don't put any excess stress on my body. They helped me realize that part of my foot pain came from improper weight distribution. My core strength is growing stronger with each session. The gym is kept very clean and it's nice to be able to have personal training sessions in an empty gym. Sometimes there may be one other member finishing up their session right before me. I've always been a shy gym member so that quality is worth the $$$. The training is created just for me and my body's needs. The coaches prep my workout before I arrive to my session, and I can access all of that information through their app. The time they put in to tailor something just for me is worth the $$$ Even when I went on vacation, Coach Gabe sent me an email detailing an at home stretch and workout routine. I love the individual attention that Parkside provides for its members. If you are someone like me that is afraid of going to the gym but want to learn how to perform workouts with proper form, then this is the gym for you.

I found pilates studio city when I followed my favorite instructor Jana here from another studio. I…read moreimmediately preferred this studio to the previous place I had been going to see her. The facilities were nicer without feeling overdone or trendy - a hard mix to find in Los Angeles where your choices are often between a studio that feels run down or somewhere so hyper-stylized I feel the need to dress up to exercise. This spot feels just right to me. I haven't worked with the other teachers here but given that she did her training at this studio, I'm confident they would all be solid. I definitely recommend checking it out. Even better, I had a billing issue that was partially my own blunder and they cleared it up ASAP, no questions asked, MONTHS later when I found it on my credit card statements. Most places would have kept my money or made me fight about it, but they didn't even bat an eye. So impressive. I feel that much working with them now. I'm officially a client for life after that!

Disappointing experience…read more A lot of time and energy to no purpose; instructors scheduled then cancelled; others offered to speak, then don't follow thru; or call back, and didn't. We all are aware things have been very challenging coming back from Covid; a business hoping to recover gracefully should strive to be far more caring about what's going on for potential clients at this time- especially in the wellness sector. Small businesses are only as good as the professionals they hire or the management that oversees them; this one could strive to respect "the other side", and be more organized and responsible on follow thru with commitments / appointments. And - ownership appears to have no clue what's going on with potential clients and it's own management .... as a comment posted within minutes by this owner - whom I've never spoken to!- has me confused with yet another client they apparently reneged on... I never paid money (because they lack the bandwith to schedule!), and didn't even know about this small studio until a recommendation in June (one I have since addressed with the studio that recommended it). Again, this speaks to the lack of organization / communication. Thank you.
