Let me start by saying, this was the "millionth" time I had dropped my phone, but only the second time the screen actually broke in 3 years. The last time it broke, I went to a place on Second Ave in the east village and they repaired it with a perfectly durable screen and my phone worked as normal. I'm not sure if they're open in the same location anymore unfortunately. The FIRST time I dropped my phone after an iCracked repair, it broke. So beware and do not use this company. Go to King Digital on Canal Street instead if you can. In a pinch (my phone was shattered and I needed to send urgent work emails asap) I scheduled a repair with iCracked online because their "hours" are deceptive and I thought I'd be able to get someone to my apartment right away. I was wrong but I booked an early am appointment instead and paid a premium price for their services ($150 compared to avg $99-119 elsewhere locally) less than a month ago and the next morning a young man named Jacob showed up to make the repair. He was 15minutes late but pretty nice and he told me he was a local college student - which is great, students need jobs too.. After Jacob completely the repair, in about 20mins, he asked if I wanted to buy a screen protector and I accepted. However, it didn't work at all, and now my phone is cracked after one impact and none of that was covered under warranty so I basically wasted my money and warn you not to. Several reasons I'm leaving this review: 1. Their customer service is horrible and it took 10days to even handle my complaint/get a reply from Jacob. The iTech email they assigned to him doesn't actually work. So I'd email, then text him to follow up, then email again after he'd insist he didn't receive it and ask me to resend, etc. We did this about three times because Flax (iCracked customer service) told me that I had to. I reached out to them, and found out they basically are just a tech repair booking company - which is how they justify taking no accountability for issues which may arise. 2. Jacob upsold me on a screen protector that was garbage. Three weeks after repair, my phone dropped face down once and not only did my phone crack on the upper left corner, the screen protector also cracked about 1/3 over its entirety, and two spots on the edge, which are now jagged exposed (glass!!!) spots where I now scratch my finger several times a day. Crappy quality for an extra $35. Nice! 3. They took my old screen and didn't tell me, ask me, or let me know that it's "part of their policy" to recycle or whatever they do with your old one. Honestly, it's just shady and felt a bit like a sneaky theft that Jacob didn't disclose this to me until I pointed out the fact that I would've liked to compare the quality of his screen vs my other after market screen, which brings me to my next point. 4. I had my phone screen repaired over two years ago and it ABSOLUTELY dropped dozens of times since then and nothing happened - the nice guys on Second Ave fixed it before and gave me a FREE screen protector. That's customer service AND quality. 5. After this issue was escalated, "upper management" Grethel basically told me that she couldn't do anything for me and gave me an email address for their legal department in case I wanted to "do something about it." Huge slap in the face. I was willing to accept a refund for JUST the screen protector because this is about principle to me. I'm a business owner, service provider, and I can't understand their lack of customer service, respect or accountability. They wouldn't even offer that. BUYER BEWARE. The quality is a major issue with not only the products at iCracked, but also their customer service policies and staff as well. read more

Very Disappointed Had really high hopes for this company but when the technician came to fix my phone, I noticed there was a crack in between the phone and the metal bezel. The technician came back right away and assessed the issue. He then went on to say that this is not an issue and reinforced it with adhesive. I also noticed that the screen icons were a lot dimmer than usual and a couple days down the line the screen is COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE. Unbelievable read more

Ever since I fixed my phone through this TERRIBLE company, I have had software issues and the quality on their screens is super LOW! My screen broke after the first drop and the screen protector they provided flew off my screen as soon as it touched the ground. This guy is very nice, I used him 2x - once for personal, once for work. The phone screen is great, a bit different than an Apple fix but for saving a few dollars it was helpful. Very practical to have someone on hand to fix my screen! He even added a screen protector for extra precaution.... Lesson is...don't drop your phone...if you do, call your local fix it guy! I made a quick reservation and the next night someone came over to my home, unscrewed the front of my screen and replaced it with a brand new one. Super pleased! Now I need to buy a case! read more

Awful customer Service! DONT USE IT! My phone doesn't work any more right after my screen replacement. It turns off by itself every AFTER 30 SECONDS of use. Called customer support 15 mins after screen replacement, they told me to contact the technician, refused to let me talk to the manager, and apparently they sit in Philippines and won't help you in any way. DO NOT USE!!!!! They are a nightmare. They came to "fix" my cracked screen and with the screen they replaced I am completely unable to type - the screen is not smooth and it makes it impossible to type anything. After weeks of back and forth with them trying to speak to someone (they take forever to get back to you each time), they finally told me it's missing a part, but they don't have the part! So they offered a refund, but now my only recourse is to buy a new phone, which is triple the price of the repair. Of course I lost my warranty with so Apple can't even help. And I can't even pass this phone along to my kids. YOU WERE WARNED!!!!! After reading other reviews, I now see that my repairman, Jacob, has been sent around a bunch of times and screwed other people over as well. Again - BEWARE!! read more

Thinking of using iCracked to fix a broken screen or other issue with your device? DON'T. I broke the screen on my iPhone several months ago. An iCracked technician replaced it, but the touch screen stopped working shortly afterward, rendering my phone useless. After multiple attempts, I finally got in touch with iCracked and they sent out another technician. He resolved this issue, but created another one: the screen on my phone no longer locks when I'm on calls, causing me to constantly press the keypad with my face and hang up on people, etc. After this started happening, I tried at least two dozen times over a period of several weeks to get in touch with iCracked before I finally received a response. (I called, I filled out the warranty repair request form, I used the "chat" feature on their website...) Ultimately I was told that I would have to send my phone in to get it repaired, and that it would take 8-10 business days. I explained that I was leaving for a business trip the following week, and would need it back by Friday. iCracked told me that this was fine, and I overnighted my phone to their repair center first thing Monday morning. When I didn't get it back in the mail on Friday, I followed up with iCracked to the status of the repair, and was told that they "couldn't find anything wrong with my phone, and would send it back the following day." Now I'm going on a trip without my phone, and when I return my phone will be sent back to me in its same broken condition. Bottom line: iCracked caused more issues than they fixed, and caused more stress than convenience. Do not use this service. read more

I cracked my iPhone 6 screen by dropping it on the floor (not intentionally, I assure everybody). The screen cracked in several places and the display underneath was distorted. Having seen the iCracked piece on TV, I called, what could I loose ? Turns out that they come to ME, rather than I need to find a place in town and go to THEM. The tech, Taha, called me within minutes and arranged to show up at MY convenience. He showed on time, quickly fixed the broken screen in my office and voi la - problem gone (for $89 compared with $170 a few years ago for my iPhone 4S (I am well experience in cracking, as you can see)). This is a fantastic service for those in a pinch, in convenience, speed and cost (all = value). The tech - Taha, is awsome, and clearly knows well what he is doing. read more

I had my screen replace in May 2017 because it was cracked. Come present day July 2017 my screen is now black, I can hear my phone ring and my text message come thru but i cant respond because my screen is black. I call the tech once i reach out to ICRACKED and he advise me the lcd screen must be damaged and I would have to pay another 110.00 to get it replace, when I was told that when a screen is cracked both screens shld be replace, so i ask if both screen were replace why do i have to pay another 110.00 when your product is faulty. So since the tech ABDALLAH DJORKODEI wanted to charge me I filed a warranty claim with ICRACKED, whom advise me they will fix the phone but i had to reach out to the tech who fixed my phone, its been a week and the phone is not fix and the tech is not returning my call or email. And when I call ICRACKED now its they are trying to reach the tech. They have no problem taking your money to fix your screen, but when its time to fix it under the warranty you get the run around. Taha was extremely easy to work with. He contacted me almost immediately after I contacted iCracked about my sad, destroyed iphone 5c screen (cases are important!!) I had dropped it while walking, most likely in *just* the right angle to cause the entire screen to be filled with cracks. Anyway, Taha came to the rescue: he met me at a cafe right near my office, and in 20 minutes, fixed it (and it looks like new). He even threw on a screen protector. It couldn't have been more convenient and simple. The process is a little more expensive than going to the Apple store (30 bucks), but it was well worth it--considering the fact that there is no Apple store near my office or home, the convenience was worth the cash--he comes to you! 5 stars are not enough to express how I felt about their service. My phone took a big fall off of a 3 story balcony the night before Memorial Day, needless to say, when I picked the phone up, I looked in horror, and thought there was no hope. My screen was shattered and there was no picture. Not only was I very upset that this happened, I was extra worried because I thought I wouldn't be able to do anything about it until Tuesday, and have to miss work. My best friend and I yelped "iPhone repair" in my area and every place was closed except for this one. I also would like to add, I frantically called this man at 7:30 in the morning and he was so kind enough to wake up and answer. On top of that he assured me that he would be open, and that I could come by and it would take a half hour tops if he could fix it. We came to the store and he was extremely attentive, and although I was convinced you could not save my phone, 20 minutes later, it was fixed and beautiful. I could not stop thanking him and apologizing for waking him up at 7:30 in the morning. If something ever happens to your iPhone screen, I SERIOUSLY recommend looking this place up for a quick, easy, and stress-free fix, not to mention the price was extremely reasonable, and the service was fantastic. :) read more

My iPhone wasn't connecting well to any lightning cable so I contacted iCracked for a repair. My iTech was Leor Lavian and he arrived on time and was very professional. It turned out that my phone port had accunulated lint causing the poor connection. Rather than charge me the original quoted price, Leor cleaned out the port, verified it worked well, then charged me a lower price given the ease of the job. Thats how business should be done.
