But the bigness of the company almost works against them. One of the reasons I often choose local companies is because of the kind of service and attention I get. When you order with them, there's a real push to do it online. That's great if you know what you need and what you're doing, but for someone who doesn't have this stuff made every couple of months it could be difficult and you may find the service at a smaller shop to be more up your alley. In a world where online printing companies are now super, super, UBER cheap it's often going to be more affordable to just send it off to Texas or California, even with shipping. I mean, if I'm submitting it all online anyway it becomes a pure price game. The good news is that they are local and real people do work there, so you can work a little closer with them if you need to. They've been around a long time and can handle just about any size project. And it's not just banners--they do tablecloths, car wraps, stand up banners, window banners (decals? wraps?) and a whole host of other promotional or products. Give the website a whirl if you're curious, but realize that if you're going to get a banner or project done just online, you can do a little research and save some money. Hopefully they'll be willing to walk you through it if you go in or pick up the phone.

After manning a table at a couple of events I was hooked and sought to improve the professionalism of our presence. The first thing I needed was signage with a stand. A Google search led me to Sugar House which had the largest selection of banner fabrics and stands, I designed what at that time was an awesome piece, they did a beautiful job of printing it, it arrived in plenty of time for my next event, and the durable banner and stand continue to serve me well. Their after-sale service was incredible - I received several emails asking if everything was to my satisfaction and requesting a photo of my banner in action. This photo is still on their website! They're not the cheapest, but you can't beat their quality, selection and service. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for full-service banner work.

I never heard of them before and I was in the process of searching for invites myself, so I looked them up online. I asked for a sample and got a response back the next day stating that my sample would be ready the following day. If I remember correctly, I believe you can make multiple changes within 2 emails or so to a sample then they would charge you a designer's fee. Luckily, I knew what I was looking for and was able to get within the 1st email. They were very prompt in answering me and changing things as requested. I first heard of Beautiful Wedding Announcements (BWA) at a local bridal expo. They were offering a…read moregreat discount off my future (bundled) order if I placed a $50 deposit which was completely refundable. After looking at their samples, I decided to bite the bullet and was also able to take home a sample kit of their various invitations including paper types. The sample kit included some great options and my now husband and I also perused their website for additional options. Ultimately we decided to order our invitations, inserts, envelopes with pre-printed addresses, and thank you postcards (also with pre-printed addresses) from them. We wanted a certain aesthetic/look across all the items and they were able to do a custom design for us. We elected to pay the additional fee to review printed proofs which was well worth it as we had to request some revisions which they promptly made. The communication was good overall and they would tell us way in advance when the office would be closed for certain holidays. It helped that we did a lot of things in advance as we started working on our invitations about 7 months out due to several out-of-state guests and we had our invitations, inserts, and envelopes in hand by 6 months out. Many of our guests complimented our invitations and said they were fancy and the theming was beautiful. :) After our photographers sent us our photos after the wedding, we sent them 2 photo options of what we were considering for our thank you postcards. They carried over elements of the design of our invitation which was a nice tie-in and created two versions of the postcard using both photos. We picked one and didn't opt for a printed proof this time; we just went with a digital proof. When the order arrived, we noticed there was a snafu with some of pre-printed addresses as some only printed the recipients' name(s). We notified them right away and they apologized. It seemed there'd been an issue at the printers and they let us know they'd reprint either the entire run or just the incorrect ones free of charge. We provided them with a spreadsheet with just the affected recipients and we received the replacement ones with correct addresses soon thereafter. All in all, I was very happy to do business with them and if I ever need custom invitations again, I'd consider BWA again.
