As the session went on, I felt confident throwing both the axe and the knives. The atmosphere was relaxed with a chill vibe that made it easy to enjoy the experience. Overall, a fun and well-run spot that I'd definitely recommend.

The boys say I'm very accurate and could do very well in competition. I can't exactly say why it's such a good time throwing an axe at a target. It's awkward at first; but once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy. My favourite joke being "No drinking and axe throwing". It turns out that there is. They have beers, craft/draft/domestic cans and other spirits available. We don't really indulge in it, but nice to know you can get all liquored up and chuck an axe at the wall. Maybe the location for your next party? The key to this is the hands-on assistance. Axe masters Steve (great name) and Miranda take the time to teach you. It's not all hatchets; they have other items to throw like knives and big axes. Pro Tip: Call for a reservation. Especially if you have a larger group. If you can, bring a smaller group of people. Four worked great for us! A two hour package is perfect. Time for a lesson, plenty of time to throw! 11/24

OMG. What a great addition to downtown Lapeer…read more First of all- wow. The minute you walk in it's an entirely transformed space. You can go upstairs or downstairs. We headed upstairs to grab a drink prior to exploring the arcade downstairs. We were immediately greeted and told about the layout, we decided to order the Shirley Temple of Doom (get it! ). It was the bougiest, best made Shirley temple EVER. Thanks Evelyn! They had a snack bar with candy, nachos, popcorn and pretzels along with multiple beverages. Along with the snack bar the upstairs features axe throwing and an absolutely dreamy game area with an assortment of games for every age level. There was plenty of space to hang out, it was super clean, well lit, but not uncomfortably bright (if that makes sense) and very very welcoming. The arcade area was more my son and husbands area- they had a blast playing skee ball, Pac-Man, pinball and racing. We could've stayed all day. Price wise everything was SO reasonable. I think that was one of the most impressive aspects. I could easily see myself grabbing a book, giving my kid $10 and parking myself by the skeeball machine sipping a mocktail and being left alone for at least an hour. This is PRICELESS. I am so glad to have discovered this gem and look forward to frequenting it often this summer, it'll be perfect for those rainy or HOT HOT days where the park or playing outside is just not an option.

I recommend getting the ninja package. You get to throw batarangs (think Batman), ninja stars, metal cards, and a shovel! It's only like a $10 upgrade. They show you how to throw everything and try to help you adjust if you can't get it. They show you a game you can play with it too if you're competitive against your friends! You only need one other person to sign up for the lane with you. There is also a phone holder in the lane so you can video yourself if you feel so inclined to do so. Reserve your time online! Try it! You'll enjoy it!

Then after instruction and practice (2 people per one instructor) we took turns throwing our axes. Even those of us that were hesitant to try, really started to enjoy the experience! Then they brought out the Chinese stars... To some, they looked intimidating... but one after another we started to try them. Some preferred stars, some preferred axes. At the end of the day, it was a great, low key activity that was appropriate and fun for all adults (age 23-65 in our party) and fitness levels! Great instruction! Highly recommend

He answered our questions, explained the rules well reinforced safety and I think he enjoyed our competitive banter! The hour went by quick, because we were having fun. There are bottled/ canned adult beverages, pop and water in a small cooler, a sitting area near the entrance and higher tables closer to the stalls where the action is. But I found the bar height chairs uncomfortable and stood instead: I'm 6'1" and the bar to rest your feet on was too high up (my knees weren't comfortable) Plus tables nearby if your party is larger. 2nd sitting area in back and 2 gender neutral restrooms which are accessible for those with mobility limitations. It's very spacious inside and not really noisy, out of the 6 throwing stalls I think 4 of them were occupied this early Saturday evening. They played good music too! Lots of parking as they're in a strip of businesses and handicapped parking is available in the lot. But depending on where you park you're likely going 150 feet to the entrance which has no steps, except for curb to walkway which also has ramped areas. I don't know about prices because the activity was a Christmas present and the same person bought my drink. But I had a great time and would recommend you come check it out. I'd say it's adults only due to the dimensions of space/ target etc. But call ahead and ask them for their recommendations/ rules.
