I'm very concerned for the safety and health of the people drinking their water. The water tastes like mold. And you can see the Pepsi machine has a lot going on. Just like when your battery goes bad in your car. This is such a health hazard. I'm shocked people don't say anything !!

If you've ever been to Chester you know there's very few options to eat. Spuds is one of the two, an average place to grab a bite and the only place in town open for breakfast. As a matter of fact it's probably the only place between Havre and Shelby open for breakfast. Fortunately, they're open six days a week and offer great service. This is the kind of place where the cook and waitress know everybody that comes in by first name. In fact, many of the same people eat here every day. And many of those order the same thing every day. If you're from out of town this is going to be an experience for you. Most small towns like this have gone away in the last several decades. You can't beat local service like this. If you're a foodie you're not going to be impressed here. The food is better than places like Denny's and IHOP, but very similar. All of it comes from a food distributor and isn't fresh. However, it's not greasy and will more than get you by when you're in Wheat Country like this. We've eaten here about a dozen times and never had a bad meal. They always get your order right and prices are more than affordable. If you're coming here for breakfast they have all your traditional items. Most of us order your traditional bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. However they do have french toast but no waffles. And the omelets won't disappoint either. If you're coming for lunch plan on ordering a burger. The Big Montana and the Farmer's Burger are your best options. We've never come here for dinner so we can't comment on that.

There is a classic burger that is not to be missed. I had the cream of tomato soup and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They have reasonable hours of operating and plenty of space. The prices are also very reasonable. The salad I has was of a simple iceberg affair with some other flourishes, but generally a no frills offering. You get plenty of crackers for your trouble of ordering a salad. I would gladly return to eat her next time I am fortunate enough to be back in Chester.

Wow! We aren't from around here, but at the recommendation of our kids who live nearby in Shelby,…read morewe HAD to try it out. To start with, the Frontier Bar & Supper Club is a perfect example of what a best kept secret looks like! The outside may be old, but the inside is busy & full of life. We quickly realized that this was a hometown favorite where the locals go. I think everyone in the dining room knew each other! There's the dinner side & the bar side. Hubby & I arrived at 6:00 pm for dinner (glad we were told to make reservations!). We were quickly greeted by nice gal who seated us right away. Our waitress, Ellie, met us at our table as we were still getting settled. She told us she was new, but she handled our orders & everything else like a pro! The food was extremely generous, fairly priced & delicious! Soup of the day was Shrimp Chowder. It has ruined us from ever wanting CLAM chowder again! It was so good! We asked for to-go boxes so we'd have enough room for dessert. Ellie recommended Lava Cake as her favorite so we went with that. Great choice & I'm glad we split it! (Check out the photo!) We don't get to visit family often up here, but this discovery will always be on our list!

We stopped in after hitting up Triple Dog Brewing and before heading to out hotel, after 12hrs…read moredriving, looking like something the cat dragged in, no doubt... we were tired, hungry and a little loopy... It was a seat yourself place, so we did & we were given water pretty quickly. Honestly, we didn't notice any issue, it was busy and we were dazed, however, we were approached with an apology for the delay and confusion- which confused us, ha! She explained that both gals thought the other was helping us, as 2 tables came in at once & turned out neither was. We said it was all good & we really hadn't noticed, they said that they had tho & they were taking off 20% - well, that alone is worth 5 stars. The service, we thought, was great. We only had water to drink but it was never empty and she even asked about ice. We ordered from the specials menu- Kel got the BIG bison burger with the cheeseburger soup for a side, the soup was the star there. I went with the beef sandwich, a twist on the French dip and it was delish! We switch halfway through & I was very bitter about it this time. It came with tons of tasty fries too. The price was insanely reasonable. We tipped back all the savings and still feel like we shorted them. Thanks Yelposphere for this solid stop that we wouldn't have spotted from the road!
