    Kathi and her menu!!

Great service by lone server. She does a great job!! Both Kathi and I had the western omelet. Hers was a scramble, mine was a classic. Both were fantastic. The one pancake was the size of the plate and fluffy and delicious!! Will return if ever we are here again

Holy Cow! Before dropping someone off at the train station, they offered to by me breakfast. So, I yelped, and found this dandy dining experience! First off, everyone smiles and welcomes you whether coming or going, or staff. It was a really nice feeling to have so many polite and welcoming people in one place. And, it does make the eating experience all the more enjoyable. My friend has the egg omelette. She could not stop talking about how good the cheese was. It was creamy and fresh and, well yummy!!!! I thought I was going to have a half plate breakfast; one egg, half a meat (ham), crispy (homemade fresh) hash-browns, and one pancake. I figured I needed to start downsizing my portions for the new year.....OMG! When the meal was served, I was astounded by the absolute size and magnificence of the pancake (see pic)! And, it was DELICIOUS! There is not much better than a perfectly cooked, fluffy (not cake-y), moist, delicious pancake! This was it!!!!! The egg was cooked perfectly, the has-browns were wonderful, and the ham was yummy and, not dry! The server was friendly, funny, informative, and efficient. Overall, YES! I highly recommend this local treasure!

Good omelette and hash brown. Service is also apt. I dined at the counter and found the seat comfortable.

To start with, the Frontier Bar & Supper Club is a perfect example of what a best kept secret looks like! The outside may be old, but the inside is busy & full of life. We quickly realized that this was a hometown favorite where the locals go. I think everyone in the dining room knew each other! There's the dinner side & the bar side. Hubby & I arrived at 6:00 pm for dinner (glad we were told to make reservations!). We were quickly greeted by nice gal who seated us right away. Our waitress, Ellie, met us at our table as we were still getting settled. She told us she was new, but she handled our orders & everything else like a pro! The food was extremely generous, fairly priced & delicious! Soup of the day was Shrimp Chowder. It has ruined us from ever wanting CLAM chowder again! It was so good! We asked for to-go boxes so we'd have enough room for dessert. Ellie recommended Lava Cake as her favorite so we went with that. Great choice & I'm glad we split it! (Check out the photo!) We don't get to visit family often up here, but this discovery will always be on our list!

Amazing food and exceptional service. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend! Great place for families,…read moregroups, and company dinners.

Sunday, Sunday out for a drive. Checking out places to see if we're alive. Hard to find many places…read moreopen on a Sunday but this is one. It's a kitschy "School booster" type of place where you might bump into the Archies. Sort of Pop's Chocklit shop in Riverdale kind of vibe. We went on a nice later afternoon drive towards the Tetons from Cutbank, but decided it was too far to get back in daylight and we wanted some wind off the water ions. We already took the pooch for a visit to the doggie park in Cutbank so we wandered over to Valier and Lake Frances the back way across the prairie. It was a nice drive and we passed a historic Merriweather landmark before we got to town. There was a campground and we watched a murmuration of geese flying over the lake. I was getting hungry and as usual my big nose found food. At first glance it looked closed but I could barely see the OPEN sign glowing through the tinted window and the parking lot was empty. We went in (around 5:00PM) and only 1 other person was there. "Did we miss the dinner crowd?" I asked 1/2 jokingly and the young guy behind the counter said they usually show up around 6 so they don't waste the daylight. We settled in at a table for 10 and ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. $11 and fries or baked potato was the side option. We went for potatoes. Nicely done and decent sized. The burgers were filling. The meat and cheese with cooked onions was good. The buns were just average but better than the Cutbank McDonald's looked. (We considered a Big Arch a couple hours before this) The place was clean, but I didn't check the plumbing and I didn't ask about other stuff. I had come to the town for a haircut a month ago and had noted the lake. (Recreational Water is scarce in Montana) Next time we'll have to check out the dam in Moscow. I hear there's boat rentals.
