Great spudnuts!!! They're very hard to find these days (the spudnuts). It was a treat to find this shop. Highly recommend!!!

Tasty donut, service left something to be desired. First time visiting, owners were rude.

Good donuts. I expected something different but they were just regular donuts. Not sure they are still using potato flower.

Best place to get donuts. Great service. Come here if you are craving some great breakfast

Always get Spudnuts when I'm in Eldorado!! The best!! Especially if you can catch them hot.

I was fortunate enough to try their donuts when I was in town visiting a client. They brought a dozen of the regular glazed up to the jobsite, so I didn't visit the actual shop. I tasted them and immediately thought these don't taste too far off from Shipley's, just within a slightly different texture and not a greasy. I could tell they use potato flour instead of standard baking flour. If I ever visit El Dorado again, I will make it a point to stop by the store and see what other options are offered. read more

A co-worker that grew up in El Dorado first took me here. I about lost my mind. I had never heard of using potato dough in doughnuts, although I do love gnocchi pasta that's made that way. Now when I come here, I have to have Spudnuts once a trip. They are a wonderful treat that I've never seen or heard of anywhere else. read more

I was born in El Dorado,Arkansas. In the years I lived there my grandparents would bring me here for donuts. This place has been here since before I was born (1965). Still in the same place. I live in Florida now. Donuts definitely worth the journey. Hot out of the oil then glazed then packaged to order. Right on every time. You have tried the rest; Now,try the best. I will be back through on the way to Hot Springs in November. I am a professional Chef/Pastry Chef with more than 40 years in the business. read more

Best donuts you will ever have!!! Also, if you have celiac, spudnuts are gluten free!!!

I don't know who wrote that one review, saying "I don't know what the big hype is, it was an ok donut." These are the best damn things you will ever put in your mouth or anyone else's mouth. Hands down, no ands if or buts about it, make your tongue jump out of your mouth and slap your forehead so hard that when you come to, you'll think you died , because you got to taste a little bit of heaven. Nope just a Spudnuts! Well you know I bet she came back because she kept dreaming of ,"It's an ok donut." SPUDNUT!!!!! Get it right read more

One week visit in El Dorado, AR because of a death in the family. My mother purchased a dozen Spudnuts for me to take home. LOL! They didn't last long! Doughnuts made of potato flour, who knew? No need for gourmet fillings, clever names, and whatnot like the ones made here in DC. The Spudnut Shop is not open on Sundays. That's necessary because those Spudnuts customers keep a-comin'. Might even make me relocate there, LOL! read more

Spudnut Shoppe - The picture I post on social media to make my fellow ex-residents of El Dorado jealous - Donuts Near Me - El Dorado, Arkansas

OK, maybe it's because I'm partial to the donuts I grew up with, but I don't get the hype. I've had the donuts here on many occasions now, and they are good, but nothing spectacular. Maybe they were hyped up too much ahead of time for me? Not sure, but it's still worth a visit. They use potato flour, which does give it a fluffier texture due to the reduced amount of gluten in the dough, and it does give it a slightly different flavor. However, I'm not crazy about the chocolate they place on some of the donuts, as I find it not very chocolatey and way too gooey (making it messy to eat). It must be popular though because they are often out of it. I would give it three stars, but I bump it to four for the kitsch and historical factor. This building is awesome, and the sign is just cool, and the fact this has been a local favorite for so very long makes it worthy of anyone's attention in my book. read more

THIS is the best donut anywhere! My wife went to high school here, and when we came back to town we knew we had to get in (more than one) Spudnut run. This place is a treasure! read more

Every chance I get coming through El Dorado I stop at Spudnut's. The flaky yet satisfying glazed donut are the best I've ever had. I bring anyone and everyone I can when I get the chance. Spudnut Shoppe - Donuts Near Me - El Dorado, Arkansas

I grew up in El Dorado, and one of the best things about it is this dingy little donut joint. Get there early if you want chocolate icing (my favorite), bear claws, or anything fancy. The potato flour in the recipe gives these big, fluffy pastries a delightfully soft texture with a crisp surface and slightly nutty flavor...what else could you ask for in a donut? The staff are always friendly even in a hectic work environment, and the donut fryer is right behind the counter so you can watch them being made while you're waiting in line. Prices have barely changed in decades, so these little bites of greasy heaven remain very affordable. read more

Best donuts (actually spudnuts from potato dough) you'll ever eat. A local favorite for many years.

Yumminess!!! But you definitely want to eat them while they are fresh. I prefer the classic glazed but chocolate covered is pretty good too.
