I was quickly introduced to Nana's donuts, located near Lake D'arbonne, in Farmerville. Wow just wow! I am seriously considering leaving my house and great job in Maryland and relocating to the Deep South for these doughnuts! In a three day period....I went daily! They open at 6am and close at 11am. They are strictly doughnuts and a few breakfast sandwiches but who cares about those. Folks these doughnuts are melt in your mouth, lightly glazed, gooey, not cake like, but more dough like. Think of these similar to Krispy Kreme...but better! Seriously....it may be the single best thing I have eaten in life. This place need to be on Food Network. We definitely would have just bought a pack of 3, maybe 6, but not a dozen. They were delightful though. We wished the dogs hadn't snuck and eaten the rest of them though...we only got to have 3. I also got a boudin kolache and my husband also got a simple blue sprinkled donut. They even gave us a free glazed donut with our purchase. They were very nice and I would come back again if we're in the area.
