I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this one is warranted…read more When we checked in, we discovered the room had no air conditioning. We were told by the owner that after about 9:00 PM the room would cool down from the river breeze, so we decided to stay. Unfortunately, the room never cooled off and remained uncomfortably hot all night. We were traveling with family, including a pregnant woman, which made the lack of air conditioning even more concerning. To make matters worse, it was nearly impossible to reach anyone for assistance. When I finally spoke with staff at their sister property late that night, I was told my only options were to either check out around midnight for a refund or stay and receive no refund. Asking a family to find another hotel in the middle of the night is not a reasonable solution. If your rooms don't have air conditioning, that should be clearly disclosed before booking. The location is beautiful, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service completely overshadowed our stay.

We asked for a few boxes of tissues, even offered to pay. The lady at the front desk said "you guys should of came prepared these are for the cabins." Couldn't even get extra toilet paper. We rented the club house for the memorial. There was a rude man in there screwing the doors to the kitchen shut. We asked nicely when they will be done and the most we got out of him was 'ill be quiet'. We booked this place months in advance. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT RECCOMEND. We rented a room and upon arriving, our toilet was filthy so we requested a new and bigger room. Our new room was fine but it lacked essentials like toilet paper and had 1 towel for the two of us. My husband took a hot tub that night and when he looked at it the next day he immediately took another shower hoping he would not get sick. It was filthy. My step son arrived the next day and in the middle of the night they were awakened by the real renters . My son was given the wrong key. My nephew rented another cabin and they did not have a shower head which was never fixed for them. They had to take showers with gushing water. To top it off, the manager invited all of us to a party that was being held in the rec room. We all attended to find the manager so drunk she was staggering. Granted she was off shift but proceeded to help the late comers totally waisted. Not impressive. We will never stay there again and my advice for every one is to stay clear of that place.

My only suggestion is that they get more trash cans. The only trash cans are located directly in front of the restrooms. There are both truck parking and car parking areas. 12-hour maximum stay. There is no pond for a dog to swim in despite the fact they have many many ponds. You have to take them outside the park to the river. The other negative is there's absolutely no cell phone service or Internet at any of the camp sites. Yes I know we're supposed to relax when camping however I have a family crisis going on and I need to stay in touch with the world.
