They have one of these here! And here are the official rules...I played multiple times and it's lots of fun.

Came here recently for a Men's Retreat. This review is not about the Retreat, but the facility. This huge, multi-building facility is right on Spruce Mountain in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. I'm not sure how old the place has been around, or if the original owners still run the place, but although the majority of the buildings I was in seemed dated and decades old, they were also clean and well kept. They have multiple buildings as cabins to accommodate overnight stays, and the one I stayed in was very log-cabin like with a huge stone fireplace, main level full kitchen, triple refrigerators, upstairs multi-bedrooms each with queen and bunk beds, and lower level more beds and bathrooms. Water pressure was nice, showers needed to be scrubbed better, and the beds included linens and towels were also provided. The high school-like gym doubles as an auditorium and easily held the 500 participants. The sound system kicked butt for the piano and guest speakers on the small stage. The gaming building had pool tables with decent sticks, air hockey for $.50, vending machines, ping pong, longboard shuffleboard, and floor shuffleboard. The kitchen facility was top notch and all food served was great. The tables were plentiful and kept stocked with the dolly of napkins and condiments. Serving as many as they did for each meal, the only gripe was standing in long lines to get to the trays to get your food. Still, every staffer was friendly and accommodating. There are also hiking trails. We took one up to the summit of Spruce Mountain, and it was quite the hike in the lightly covered snow trails and wind. The facility also has a workout room with a few machines and free weights. There is a zip line for fun along with a Snack Shop which I did not check out. The Gift Shop I did, though, and there was nothing special about it. The Christian metalwork throughout the facility was very pleasing and available for sale. Overall, this is a very nice facility which is used year-round. They have many different retreats including one for married couples, a Summer camp, and even a daycare camp. I kind of felt a little Dirty Dancing life in the Summertime Catskills, but had a very enjoyable time at Spruce Hill Resort. I think you will, too, and your group should consider coming here.

A nice and quiet place for church retreats and gatherings. This year is my 2nd year coming here with my church and I've always enjoyed it. A lot of activities to do such as mini-golfing, hiking, paddle-boating, kayaking, tennis, basketball, swimming, you name it. Can't wait for next year's retreat!

Campsite (3/5): These are a bit stacked on top of each other but our group had two next to each other so it didn't impact us too much. Ambiance (4/5): These campsites are right on the water which is absolutely stunning! You really feel like you're in nature, but there is a major road near the top campsites and even by the water you can hear road noise. There was a huge group at the top which partied into the night though we're up late anyhow and it was no issue for us. Consider earplugs if you're not like us. Bathrooms (4/5): These were relatively clean for a campground bathroom. Minus a star here because on the last day the women's room was out of order -- but I believe it was due to another guest, as a member of our party heard someone say "oh no it's not flushing!" TL;DR: Great for those late-into-the-night campers. If you stay here make sure you get a waterfront spot.

Well in the Security department you work with a bunch of people who act like they know everything…read moreeven know they've never worked a day of Security anywhere else prior, very small minded place. Most of the 'employees' sit in the guard shack or rec center playing video games all day instead of real work. There was no interview, they just hired me outright, I wasn't drug tested even though they said I would be, I wasn't properly trained at all, maybe since I have more security experience than all of them they didn't bother? They had someone drive me around for a night through the community, didn't actually show me anything or teach me, especially when it came to the computer system where there's no useful programs, just outdated excel files to store property owner information all over the place, something a lot of places have moved on from years ago because of inefficiency & there are actual data storage programs out there that do it way better nowadays. Management doesn't care about improving the place, very outdated & inefficient systems in place, there's no Patrol Log to keep track of things for patrol officers, they just write a quick summary at the end of shift in the computer's daily log, the program they use for daily logs is some horrible outdated unheard of application that barely works, instead of just using excel like everyone else in the world. They still do handwritten passes in 2023.... most gated communities moved on from this a dozen years ago not just because of inefficiency but also data storage on computers is 10000x better than scattered papers in a filing cabinet.. Their gate system doesn't even store owners information like Card Access would, so you have little to no information of the cars who are passing through the owner gates. The exit gate you have to open manually, never seen that anywhere before (and I've been in/around 30 gated communities) Very annoying & unnecessary job for the gate guard, do you know why it doesn't open manually ? It's so that Security can collect the pass for their records.. you know, something a pass program in a computer would store automatically when a pass is made... Just very outdated operations all around. If you're working gate don't expect cars to pull up to a window for a pass like everywhere else, you're suppose to weave between traffic & walk Infront of/around cars while they're driving into the community to fill out the outdated paper passes, not only inefficient but unwise & potently dangerous as well. The only time the manager listens is when someone cries loud enough about something small/not important then she accommodates them so she doesn't have to hear it, any real suggestions or complaints are ignored. There is no rank system in place, so no shot at getting promoted or having your hard work pay off, so nothing to work towards or care about at the job, also as a result some of the regular officers thinks they're in charge there when Chiefs on duty, even though they're not. There's no official breaks like every job ever, you're suppose to just take one when it's not busy, but you'll get in trouble if you stand still for 20 minutes... & they expect you to report every time you park the patrol vehicle or go to the bathroom now, again caring about unimportant things & not improving/focusing on things that actually need changing. They will schedule you for hours & days you can't work (and you told them you can't) & expect you to come in & not complain about it. People wont show up for shifts & then you're stuck their longer than you expected to be & nothing is done about the people who didn't show up for their shift. Very sloppy & lazy place, not to mention it's ugly & outdated. You're better off anywhere else honestly.

The site was also flooded around the fire ring the whole stay. We were also surprised and disappointed to have to pay even more to heat up the hot tub, even though there is already a big initial charge to book a tent with a hot tub. So we paid a lot extra for a tent with that amenity, only to arrive and not be able to use it unless we pay even more. The fire wood was also sold at 10$ a bundle, which is a lot more than i have paid in other camp/glamps in the region. Overall it has a trendy vibe with some cool amenities , but we had a realllllly bad view which diminished the experience (especially for the amount of $$$), a flooded camp, and we felt nickel & dimed with the hot tub. I am writing this in so much a pain and horror it still hurts me and my PREGNANT girlfriend got locked out at 4 am it started with us going to the bathroom that was separated from the dome and down the trail as a public bathroom used by other campers that were on the grounds with us. We woke up to go to the bathroom and didn't think anything of it but when we came back the door was locked and inaccessible we were given a PIN code to use to unlock it and it was not working everything we tried to do was not working and then the lock verbally said that it was dead and to please charge and that sent us into a spiral of panic and confusion we stood there for about 20 minutes in the freezing cold trying everything but to no avail we then freaked out and went to my car to go over all details of getting from the emails and texts we received when we checked in to try to get into the dome and after going back to try again after 20-30 minutes the door then set off a alarm claiming we were breaking in and then died after 1 minute of a alarm blaring we then backed off and panicked went into the self service store they had and tried to see if there was any way to contact any staff members to call out for help but there was nothing to help they did have a trailer on the grounds with staff working in earlier and when we went to knock on it hoping someone was inside we got no response so after having no cell signal to contact anyone though the website and trying to call the number in the email we got nothing so we then had the idea to get in by any means and I had to jump in thought a tiny window on the side of the dome after getting in after landing in the floor and brushing my ribs and arms we were horrified and had to leave as soon as possible we contacted the staff after leaving and telling them our story the owners called us and apologized and offered a refund and a one night free to come back though a text/verbal agreement we thought about it wanted to give it another chance but after reaching out to them and getting a cold reply and no help here's the truth I wish I could add videos of what happened but this one of the worst nights of our entire lives and we hope that this prompts you not to stay here and to go anywhere else I would give this place a negative 100 star review if I could and whatever the owners respond to this with I honestly couldn't care less I tried to give them a chances but this the real horrors behind the curtains that happened here and I really wanted to try again but I've held back this story for to long

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The campsites are well-spaced, and each spot comes with a picnic table. The bathrooms were well-maintained and clean, and the water temperature was warm enough for a comfortable shower. The camp also has a small store with all the essentials, and there's a Walmart and McDonald's nearby for anything you may need beyond that. They keep the area tidy, with clean trash bins and bags provided, and the trash is picked up in the morning. The only downside was the lack of night patrol. There were several loud parties making it difficult to sleep, though I understand this is more of an issue with guests not being considerate. Additionally, the site next to ours had a notably loud snorer, which made things a bit more challenging. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Kittatinny K-Camp.

(This was a few months ago so the details could be a bit iffy.)…read more This was a very impromptu trip and everything at Edge of the Woods makes doing that easy. Head to the website, book the date & time you want and you're done. www.watergapadventure.com/river-trips A few things worth noting: They offer multiple trip lengths. The standard 4-, 6- and 10-mile trip (Smithfield to Portland) are all booked generically and then when you get there you tell them what you want to do. All pricing is the same which believe me compared to others companies, that's very different - in a good way. They do offer two other longer trips but those require calls to the main office I assume to assess river conditions; your own competency and shuttle availability. The main office in Delaware Water Gap is very easy to find and there was plenty of parking on a quiet post-Labor Day Monday. You check in, you're handed a laminated map, life jacket and given a brief route explanation and then you're off in the van. One problem arose and it was kind of a PIA but it was worked around. Most companies have different types/sizes/models of kayaks and quite often, will ask you what you prefer. Not here. When we left the office, the guy driving didn't say a word to me until we get to Smithfield Beach to unload. He had a few kayaks pre-loaded in the carrier but definitely did not look at them before we left. One of them had a broken foot pedal that he said couldn't be used, another was very much designed for a smaller individual (i.e. if you're taller and/or taller & larger it ain't happening safely) which only left two tandem models. Using a tandem as a single individual is not the end of the world but especially when the seats are still left in the two person configuration (i.e. one front and one back versus the rear one being placed more towards the middle), it's a PIA to maneuver the craft and you are paddling harder to get the job done compared to a single. The scenery along the route was decent. You could see a bit of the Shawnee Resort and Golf Course, an old stone bridge abutment in the middle of the river, under and along 80 and then when you get into the Water Gap itself with the high cliff sides. Very picturesque. Once you go under the old train viaduct in Portland, you give the office a call for the shuttle to meet you at the out point which is at the Portland Pedestrian Bridge. The whole experience was about four hours door to door to cover the ten miles on the water plus the shuttle to & from the pick up and drop off points. Lots of nice scenery, due to the low water level there wasn't much in the way of current except for the area around viaduqt in Portland and even that wasn't bad. I'm not a big fan of the equipment here but I wouldn't let that deter me from coming back in the future for one of their northern longer trips.
