We had struggled to fix a broken valve over the past few years but it just got worse and worse. This year I resolved to fix it myself for good. But once I got in there, I realized I was outmatched - it was going to require some major reworking of the system and I just didn't have the time. I got referrals from neighbors to other sprinkler repair companies, but none of them returned my calls. (What does it take these days to get a service company to answer the phone?!) I did reach out to one company on their website and after a few days got a call back. After my 30 second description of the problem and without even seeing the job, they quoted me $1000. When I questioned the cost, I was met with the explanation that the technician was *very* popular. Well, this is sprinkler repair, not Teen Beat. So, I went back to my sprinkler repair search, finally coming across Sprinkler Master. Guess what? They answered the phone and I got to speak to someone the very first time. And they scheduled my appointment right then. And then they showed up! Yay for a service company that does what they say they're going to do! After inspecting the work to be done and talking about our options (yes, we have options), Jay gave me a quote that was half the price of the other guy. We scheduled for him to come out on Monday. I forgot it was Pioneer Day but sure enough when I looked out the window before 7am, Jay was hard at work and quickly had the new equipment up and running. He said he would come back that afternoon (after I actually woke up) to review the work and test the system. Everything worked like a charm. The new equipment and set up is well-designed and looks real clean (as far as a sprinkler box, valves and manifold can look). There was no evidence that someone had dug up the yard, in fact some of the mess my grandkids had left out back was put away neatly. We are very happy with the work Jay did and highly recommend him and his company. We plan to have him come back out to address some additional issues with coverage. Great work, reasonable prices, super nice guy, answers the phone and shows up on time. What more could you ask for? read more

Horrible experience! Had a technician come out to look at our sprinklers. After 2 hours he said everything was great and working well. The next day we turned on the sprinklers and had no pressure in 2 zones. When I called back the reasoning I got was when they fix one thing another can break... also extremely rude. STAY AWAY !!!! they came out to fix one of our sprinkler heads that was leaking. They didn't have the part that was needed, so they went out to get the part. When they returned the tech told us the price was now more because they had to go to 2 different stores to find the part they needed (also how do I know that) so they charged us more than what was originally quoted. Then when they used our sprinkler system they programed it so our front sprinklers turned on at 10 PM and not shut off, they were running per my ring camera from 9:55 pm to 8:20 am when I saw them on and my front lawn was completely flooded. Our entire front yard is completely ruined: the grass, my flower bed, annd now there is an huge sinkhole in my yard. We have called and texted several times and we have gotten no response, don't use this company. read more

Had an appointment yesterday morning which I'd been waiting over a week for to fix our leaking sprinkler system. The tech texted in the early morning asking if we still needed help. I responded yes, and gave some details about what was wrong with the system. Haven't heard from or seen anybody since then. I texted again 3 hours after my appointment time asking for an ETA, but no response. So I also called the tech and left vmail...no response. After waiting around all day, I finally called the main line and the scheduler had no idea why I wasn't getting serviced or why nobody had been in contact with me. She took my info (again) and said someone would call me back. It's now been 24 hours from my scheduled appointment time yesterday and I still haven't heard from anyone. Work quality was good but misleading on the pricing. I sent them photos of the work I needed done and they provided a quote. After the repair was done they charged me double the quoted price. Very misleading and not good business practice. read more

Not good at all. They set up our sprinklers for the Spring and the back flow preventer wasn't put in properly. Water is leaking everywhere. I've called twice and they won't return calls or come to fix this. Now I have to have someone else come and fix their work. **Avoid this company!** I was given an estimate of $340-$455 to complete some sprinkler work after the tech came out and looked at the yard and ran the sprinklers to see what the coverage was like. They came out and did the work and then I received an invoice for $895. WTF!?!? There was never any mention when the techs arrived that the price will have to be increased to complete the job. There was never any conversation that the job or parts cost had changed from when they came out originally and gave me the estimate. The estimate was for 3-4 hours of labor which was $255-$340. That didn't detail if it was 1 tech or 10. I was never told that now that 2 techs showed up to do the work that the labor was really now 6-8 hours. After the job was complete and the techs were leaving they told me that the labor cost was $85 for each of them. I told them about the price I was estimated and they just said oh it will be more than that. Later that night I received the invoice for $895. I also found out that Sprinkler Master who I had read the reviews for and hired (I thought) was really in fact Dr Sprinkler. The company is fake, the estimate was fake and Jay Auvigne (the owner) is an absolute crook! He did come down in price after I refused to pay double what they had estimated without prior approval. The name Sprinkler Master means nothing. When you seek out a franchise "brand name" contractor, you expect there to be corporate oversight and ethics. The Sprinkler Masters franchise is just the opposite.The corporate staff does not respond and allows the franchisee to operate with zero oversight. The franchise may be purchased with no experience necessary, just bring cash. No ethics required. Again, the name Sprinkler Master means nothing. Paul, you may want to get involved with your franchises and monitor that name your selling a little more closely. read more

Sprinkler Master did a terrific job of repairing several leaky valves and a broken Stop and Waste for us. KC was polite, knowledgeable and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Mark was very nice to come out for the main valve repair and offer guidance for the job. We are very happy with their service, communication and prices. Definitely worth every penny! read more

They charged me 595 dollars to replace backflow valve. They don't carry parts and make trip to purchase them while charging 90 dollars an hour. The backflow costs 217 dollars outside. It will take only an hour of labor. I liked the work done by the technician. 3 hours of labor to do this is waste. read more

I used sprinkler master 5 years ago when it was owned by a guy from Hawaii and still a small company. They did an amazing job and were super friendly. I referred them to a family member not seeing that it is under different management now and I feel horrible. They didn't do or complete anything they were asked. And when my family member contacted the supervisor he was very in professional and believed his guys over his customer. My family member has to hire a different company to come fix their mess. Horrible experience will never referrer this company to anyone now it is under different management. read more

We arranged for an estimate and on the day of the appointment, a tech never showed up during the 2 hour window. We called the company who was unable to reach the assigned tech. She said that she would call back and let me know their status. An hour later, I still have not heard from anyone. Not a good sign to trust this company. Called on June 20th about getting some sprinkler heads replaced. I was told someone would call me back to set up an appointment . The fallowing Saturday I got a text from Jay wanting pictures of what I needed done. Sent the pictures and almost a week later haven't heard anything back despite trying to contact him at the number he texted me from. Don't waste your time on a company that thinks so lowly of new customers. read more

First the good - I had a broken sprinkler and a box that needed to be buried. They were able to take care of it. The bad - after poking around in my timer box, they left half of my sprinkler stations disconnected. I called to ask them to come fix it and they tried to say that it just broke on its own. When I asked them to give me solutions, they avoided doing anything else. The technician I was speaking to eventually gave me his boss's number. I called and left a message and they never returned my call. The company uses some sort of answering service, so you never get anyone helpful when you call the company number. Also, they left their stop and waste key in my shutoff and left my timer box wide open to the back panel when they left. I had to get help from someone else to fix the wiring issue they caused and they still haven't tried to get back to me or correct their problems. Avoid this company. read more

I had Sprinkler Master of West Jordan, UT come estimate changing some heads, capping some heads and de-winterize my system. Jay Auvigne verbally quoted me 400-500 dollars for 3-4 hours of work. When his team showed up a week later they spent 4 hours and the final bill came to over 950 dollars. my back yard is dying and worse off then before they came. I have called him and texted him to get him to come fix this and I get no response. I left a voice mail demanding my money back 2 hours later his team showed up they changed a small head and told me Jay would call me that night or the next morning. A week later I have still heard nothing. I want my money back. read more

They were booked pretty far out (about 2 weeks) when we called them. We didn't need the service immediately, so we scheduled something out. The person on the phone said that they had about a 45 minute window that they would arrive within. After scheduling the appointment, I immediately get an email saying that it would be a 2 hour window. Not the end of the world, but felt a little weird that the person on the phone told me something a lot shorter. When it comes to the day of the appointment, they don't show up within 2 hours. We call the office and someone said they would get in touch with their supervisor and then immediately call us back; never heard from them again. Ended up emailing their service center and got a fairly speedy reply; ended up getting someone out to our house about 4 hours after our scheduled appointment. When they got to our house they were able to resolve the issue fairly quickly and painlessly, but the whole ordeal still took about 5 hours. I do not recommend this company! They did show for the appointment... but when they did show up the representative was very inexperienced. They charged me a service charge of $35 and an hour of labor of $85 for the representative to come out. After looking at the problem He did not know what the problem was or how to fix it. He wanted to take the back-flow assembly off and take it to the shop so someone could look at it and determine if it could be repaired of if it need to be replace. Not only did he not know these questions, he could not give me an estimate on price for repair or replace. So basically they just wanted to take it with a blank check. Also he could not give me an estimate of how long it would take, just said he wasn't sure and I was to wait for them. I cant imagine how much they would have charged if I would have allowed him to take it with him considering the charges I received for them just to come to my home and assess that he didn't know what the problem was. Seems very untrustworthy. I would not recommend them or would I EVER call them to fix another problem. Don't make the same mistake on having them come look at your sprinkler issues. I am only giving one star because I can post this with no stars. read more
