They didn't have to do that and they did. So keep that in mind. These folks knew when I scheduled my appointment that I was not getting any water on my lawn because my sprinkler lines had been cut by a fiber installation company. And yet they showed up almost a week later with no tools and no supplies. They charged me $175 to walk around my property for a half hour telling me that I needed to do various things, all of which I already knew because it was plainly obvious. Absolutely no skill or expertise was involved. They then gave me a quote to do the actual repairs for $650. Applying none of the $175 that I already paid. Stay as far away from these people as possible. They are interested in one thing and one thing only. Money.

But once I got in there, I realized I was outmatched - it was going to require some major reworking of the system and I just didn't have the time. I did reach out to one company on their website and after a few days got a call back. After my 30 second description of the problem and without even seeing the job, they quoted me $1000. When I questioned the cost, I was met with the explanation that the technician was *very* popular. Well, this is sprinkler repair, not Teen Beat. So, I went back to my sprinkler repair search, finally coming across Sprinkler Master. Guess what? They answered the phone and I got to speak to someone the very first time. And they scheduled my appointment right then. And then they showed up! Yay for a service company that does what they say they're going to do! After inspecting the work to be done and talking about our options (yes, we have options), Jay gave me a quote that was half the price of the other guy. We scheduled for him to come out on Monday. I forgot it was Pioneer Day but sure enough when I looked out the window before 7am, Jay was hard at work and quickly had the new equipment up and running. He said he would come back that afternoon (after I actually woke up) to review the work and test the system. Everything worked like a charm. The new equipment and set up is well-designed and looks real clean (as far as a sprinkler box, valves and manifold can look). There was no evidence that someone had dug up the yard, in fact some of the mess my grandkids had left out back was put away neatly. We are very happy with the work Jay did and highly recommend him and his company. We plan to have him come back out to address some additional issues with coverage. He answered all my dumb questions and even was happy to give me pointers on how things work, and more importantly, the proper way. There was a little confusion on the Rainbird 3500 that took some chatting with the manufacture to clear up. During the busy season, he's a couple of weeks out. That's a good thing since he came highly recommended and doesn't advertise. Robert is knowledgeable, fair with his time, friendly, and gives it to you straight. If it's going to be a lot of work, he'll tell you. He won't try to give you a low estimate just to get you to say yes then jack up the price.
