Recently my daughter has been fighting over the candy that she gets from birthday parties because she loves them as much as I do now and she can eat spicy food. I used to take all the candies from when they went to birthday parties and now I can't so this came in handy to create my own little stock. Prices were okay and they charge fees for using a credit card, but the variety in stock is great and well organized. It came in handy as the person didn't speak English well and I didn't speak Spanish well. There was a pile of chocolates in plastic containers stacked in the middle behind the counter. The señora that was there wasn't the most friendly, she definitely did not want to go out of her way to let me see what flavors were available to choose from. Flavors that I went in for were there not available. It's beautifully designed, inside and out! I came to this location because of an instagram reel or I had seen, so walking in to this was just sad.

My new friend gave me a sneak peek and omg, it's a candy wonderland. So many different handmade, handpacked goodness in one building and they ship nationwide. A small taste of El Paso, it's sweet, meltingly decadent, and with so much love. It's what I've come to associate with El Paso. The delivery man was courteous. My friend who sent me the chocolates said "Chocolat" specified someone needed to answer the door; otherwise, they wouldn't leave the chocolates basket outside. The basket was perfect and beautiful. The assortment of chocolates was gourmet and unique. I enjoyed them all, but my favorites were the giant chocolate-dipped pretzels with different toppings and the rum cake. Chocolat's rum cake was the freshest most rum-rich rum cake I have ever had.
