The residents and door staff were always friendly, but the management company was unresponsive and sluggish (they didn't have my apartment ready on move-in day, with the floors torn up and appliances out of place, for example). That's all changed now that Greystar took over, and the management team has been responsive, helpful, and flexible. They've also done a great job of communicating with residents as they transition away from outdated systems and fix long-standing issues. Highly recommend.

Frankly, I don't see a point in paying 20%-30% more for an apartment with all the bells and whistles that I barely use. Besides it's all about location, location, location. I am two blocks from Whole Foods and three blocks from Trader Joes. Almost every train line plus the LIRR is within three blocks from the apartment. I can get to and from work near Rockefeller Center in 30 minutes during rush hour. Once you are home from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby to choose from, and not to mention child-friendly gyms and fitness studios that babysit your little ones while you workout! The staff has always been amazing since day one, but as some of the other reviewers had mentioned, there were some growing pains with the developer and the property management team, initially. That said, many of those issues were resolved once the residents formed a condo board and took over the building from the developer in 2020. Also, a new property manager was hired two weeks ago, and with the guidance of a competent board who truly cares about its residents, I am confident that the building will be an even more enjoyable place to live for years to come.
