I volunteered to drive a friend to-and-from a day surgery, so I found myself with about 5 hours to kill away from my home base in St. Pete. I decided to see a 12:00pm matinee here. (Deadpool - So much silly fun!) This theater was clean, comfortable, and quiet! It was totally devoid of the usual rude cell phone jerks and disruptive sort that usually ruin most any theater experience for me. So, if you hope to enjoy a movie in PEACE, please consider coming here for a daytime/matinee showing!

You can arrive a half hour before the show starts to pay and get your spot to watch the movie. Tonight we watch Shang Chi and the Ten Rings and our experience specific to tonight... Not the best. In the beginning of the movie there are subtitles which you can't read because on this screen only the top line ever showed. So as long as there's only one line sentences you're good! In addition there aren't any loud speakers or speakers to place on your vehicle like many other drive ins have, so we had a really hard time hearing. I don't know if this movie was shot in dark lighting or if they needed to adjust lighting on the screen, but there seemed to be a glare or it was often hard to see some scenes. There was an idiot with his car lights on which may have posed a problem as well but no one said anything to them. No one walked around to check for things like that like many other theaters do as well. The website indicates if you have difficulty getting your lights to turn off they have covers for your car to use to dim your lights. There's no info about additional speakers though it does say if you have issues you can let them know. Also kind of bummed with the choice of preshow music. We really enjoy attending the theaters that okay the old fashioned tunes and ads! You only get half an hour before hand anyway which also could be extended some. Show up as early as you can within that time frame to get the best pick of parking spots. Also bring big spray or citronella candle or something. Bugs galore! We may try this theater again in the future but will need to probably bring a radio to provide additional speakers.

The festival is big. Need about 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete. Best parking space is at parking lot between the Hernando County Government Center and Courthouse. Festival is free. In the same day, they also have the antique car display. The festival has many types of vendors. I visit the lemonade vendor, tangerine tree sale vendors. The festival has kid section for the bubble foam zone. Kid love to get wet and run into it. They also have the blow up air tent for kid to play. The festival cover at least 5 street locations. Music play in front of the courthouse.

We began with a show 3 years ago for our then 13…read moreyear old daughter. 3 years later we are still going strong with shows, classes and competitions. The program focuses on youth musical theater and their productions are top notch! All sets costumes etc are run by volunteers- mostly parents but also many alumni return to work on programs and productions - which we believe says a lot about the organization. We've had the pleasure of watching our daughter grow and learn while pursuing her passion for theater - with the support of her peers. When performing at other youth theaters in the area her friends from AIM have always been in the audience cheering her on - which we also feel speaks to the organization as a whole. A lot of work and dedication from those involved clearly shines through in their programs.

Celebration of Lights at Homosassa State Park puts on a great show…read more You will notice there are two parking lots. The one that is on this address is the main parking lot. It is further than the other parking lot, but I love the tram they take you on. It's so breezy, comfortable, and fun. The other parking lot is smaller, so good if you come early, but the tram is a fun simple experience through the trees. You first walk into a park and there are a tunnel of lights. You will see the water with lots of fish, and what they call the fishbowl where the water is lit up at night, and it illuminates the water down below so nicely. Keep walking, and you will see a big house, which is their office area, and more restrooms for the public. You will here music and see lights. You will now find the main area of lights. It's not like a lot lot, but it's so concentrated, it looks beautiful, my most favorite Xmas lights this year. People are sitting since there are chairs, and some bring chairs. They are waiting for the show including synchronized lights, singing, Christmas carols, real Christmas manger, angels. It is a great show. We loved it. Perfect for Xmas eve. They have one day left this year, Sat. Dec. 26. Make sure to do it if you have a chance.

The street is close between 10th Street to 17th Street. You can walk comfortablely. I would suggest you park your car at City Market Bistro. They have the sample plate. I got one of each. They have six items for try out. They are free. They are delicious too. Good taste balance. We walk with our plate to Church Ave for the festival. The name of the street actually describe the the actually location with a lot of churches. Each church have their own venue. Some musical and some has skit. Too many churches to cover in 2 hours. Other the main show, some of the houses also have music venue. This festival is hard to find with concentrate churches location and joint venture for the good of people. Amazing street festival of high Christmas spirit last for 7 blocks! Along the Church street at…read moreDade City ( when I first Rachel mentioned it, I thought it was the Orlando Church street.) , the houses, churches were decorated with Christmas light extensively. On the front lawn or front porch of the houses, side walk, inside the church stage, live Christmas music or skit were performed. The music included every styles, pop, musical, rock band, country, orchestra, traditional, choral. The musicians were good. Church volunteers handed out free coffee or coco drink , free Christmas cookies. Along the sidewalk stood hundreds of candles in sand paper bags. They lit up the road and looked romantic. I only saw 2 got knocked down and burned. At the east end of festival the restaurant Rebecca's at City market ran an open houses, gave out free food samples . I had 6 samples. They were all exceptional delicious. Overall , this festival was quiet a Christmas treat. Only 2 days left, Dec 22 and 23 from 7-9. By 8pm, the street got crowded. Parking wasn't so bad. The weather is in mid 70, wear shirt and short will be about right. Comfortable walking shoes really help. Come to enjoy the Christmas spirits. It's worth the drive!
