Apparently most normal people can call their doctor and get an appt pretty quickly…read more I don't often need medical care (1-2 times per year outside of a physical) but calling them is impossible so I don't bother. Scheduling online usually puts you out 3+ weeks. I guess this is normal? I'll be looking elsewhere.

The rare times that I try to call I get put into phone maze hell. The latest was my breaking point. I had scheduled a physical months ago (because it takes months to get an appointment). I just got a message that the doctor was not available and I had to reschedule. No number was left. I called back the number the message was left on. Evidently that leads to no where and eventually hung up on me. I finally find another number and after another maze of phone hell I guess I was connected to a Jefferson central scheduling person (evidently you can't just call someone in their office). This person then proceeds to start from ground zero asking me all the same questions that I was asked 3 months ago when scheduling. Then after about 15 minutes total trying to navigate what should have been 3 minutes of time to reschedule they offer me an appointment another 3 months out!!! God forbid you are actually sick and need to see a doctor - good luck. It's a shame because I do like my doctor but he is behind such a wall of nonsense you can't get to him. I'm done. Jefferson has ruined doctor care in my area.

Unfortunately, the bigger problem is that the staff, including the so-called office manager, is absolutely clueless and has no idea how to navigate the insurance industry or what it takes to get approvals for necessary testing. They can't seem to follow even the simplest of instructions. When you bring it to their attention, they are rude and nasty.

Even two new patient "walk-ins" while I was there. I attribute some of this to their newest doc, Andrew Rosner. I heard his name mentioned on at least three of the calls as office staff noted his name, practice expertise and that he had just joined a few weeks prior. The office is clean, accommodating and easy to find. More importantly, the staff are very welcoming and speak to you like you are an actual person and not someone there to interrupt their day; that's not always the case at some medical practices. If you're looking for a good doctor, ask for Dr. Rosner. If you want a doctor's office that will make you feel welcome and has its act together, TriValley Primary Care in Lansdale is the place to go. We'll worth the drive.
