I saw Dr. Weishar, of Springhouse Dermatology and Aesthetics, in March 2020. I was greeted promptly and professionally. There was a mix-up regarding appointment times; however, I was assured I would be seen that day. I waited briefly in the waiting room; the decor was clean, simple, and calming. I was taken to a patient room by a nurse who was proficient and thoughtful as she collected my history. Within minutes, Dr. Weishar appeared and obtained further information. I have seen several providers (both physicians and non-physician clinicians) for skin issues that began in my late twenties. I was diagnosed with Rosacea and given antibiotics and topical creams. Unfortunately, most of these ephemeral treatments may have caused more problems than solutions. Previous dermatology providers seem to singularly focused on diagnosis of Rosacea and visits were brief and disappointing. In contrast, Dr. Weishar took time to genuinely listen to me, which isn't easy when donning a mask during a pandemic. After collecting a thorough history and examining me, she questioned my initial diagnosis and discussed her differential. She even asked to see my prior records to best assist me! I expressed interest in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) as a treatment. Dr. Weishar explained her concerns that she could worsen my condition using IPL; this act of non-doing is the epitome of "first, do no harm." In the meantime, she offered an alternate treatment. I am very impressed with Dr. Weishar and would recommend without hesitation. She is professional, pleasant, inquisitive, knowledgeable, and caring. read more

I absolutely 100 percent love this location, staff, and drs. Everyone here is seriously so friendly. The drs here are awesome! I especially love Dr Ivy Derosa. She is so sweet, funny and really takes the time to talk to you and listen to every concern or the questions that you have. I go for cosmetic reasons which can be a little pricey and she is so sweet and takes the time to go over the costs to get the results I want, with the budget I have. Hands down, if I could give this place 10 stars, I would! The parking is awesome as well. Has its own parking lot which is a bonus. And the location is super easy to get to. read more

If I could give this practice zero stars I would. Extremely unprofessional. We had an initial appointment and had a follow up today. There were policy changes that we were not made aware of prior to the appointment and I took a day off work for this appointment only to be told once I was there. If they contacted us ahead of time, and told of the changes prior to the appointment I would have cancelled and not lost a day off work. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I had an appointment with Weishar today. She has no clue what she's talking about and she tries to hide her lack of knowledge with a judgemental tone in hopes that you will feel intimidated by her during the appointment. During the appointment she had an extremely judgemental tone in her voice while telling me some information that was flat out wrong. She tried to tell me some false information about the products I currently use on my skin in hopes that I wouldn't know better and she could try to convince me to purchase product from their office. I do appreciate that she tried to start me on a treatment that might help but it was not what I was looking for at all and I very clearly stated what I wanted from the appointment and I was not satisfied with my visit. read more

When I referred to orange peel skin, as in the texture, the esthetician said Yeah, sometimes my skin turns orange too. Worse still, Weishar applied 100% acid solution for TCA cross that never scabbed, leaving pea-size craters in my face. The Hippocratic Oath says First do no harm - blatantly violated. Further, Weishar had a condescending tone, the appointment was rushed, and there was no scientific basis of evaluation given that would inform a treatment plan over time. Clearly, this is a business, rather than a practice. read more

I came to Springhouse Dermatology for a consultation regarding birthmark removal but still haven't received any substantial feedback from Dr. Weishar or anyone from this practice - my initial appointment was approximately 3 weeks ago. A little elaboration on my initial consultation - it lasted approximately 10 minutes, maybe less. The nurse (who was very nice and welcoming) brought me into the examination room and went over some of my paperwork. I then met the physician's assistant who proceeded to take a brief look at my birthmark, told me she wasn't "too clear" on what solutions there are for me but she would take a photo and send it to Dr. Weishar (who wasn't in that day) to take a better look and provide me options on moving forward. Honestly, what was the point of my consultation? I came in and received zero answers or insights and to top it off, the PA took a picture of the birthmark with their iPhone! I could've done the same thing and e-mailed it over instead of taking the time and money out of my pocket to pay Springhouse Dermatology a visit and leave with nothing. I wouldn't be as unimpressed with this practice if they actually followed up with a phone call from Dr. Weishar like they said I would. Instead, I received a voicemail a few days later from one of the nurses stating that the doctor had the "perfect solution" for me and to call back and schedule an appointment. When I did call back, I did 2 things: 1) asked to speak with the doctor directly and 2) expressed my dissatisfaction with my previous appointment - of course the receptionist gave me the run around and told me the doctor wasn't in (yet again) and that she wouldn't be back till the Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend. They receptionist stated they would leave the doctor a note to call me back upon her return. About a week and some odd days now and still no call back or follow up. So much for that perfect solution. read more

Best aesthetic Dermatologist I have found. Dr. Weishar is amazing and I'd recommend her to everyone! The office is also very nice, clean and high tech. They have taken proper precautions to keep everyone safe during Covid, which is important! The employees are all very professional, kind and knowledgeable. read more

I am an established patient at this practice. I was happy to give them insurance cards and photo ID. I had a scheduled dermatology appointment and staff refused to see me because I would not agree to give them my credit card information to store in their system. They said this is their policy. read more

Office does not adhere to its stated policies to keep patients safe from Covid-19 like other dr offices in the area. They don't screen when you come in and let patients pack the lobby which is small and crowded which doesn't permit social distancing. They make you complete patient information on an iPad that is passed from patient to patient and lobby chairs are not cleaned consistently with numerous patients being required to sit in them. It is not possible for patients to social distance when checking in and checking out. When these things were brought to the Dr attention, she was annoyed and told me I could leave if I wanted to and did not offer to fix or address the issue. This was disturbing. read more

I had an appointment at the end of April 2022 to get an all over body check up. I felt the dr. who "examined" me did not want to be bothered. Not sure if because I am 60 and over weight or if she prefers handling cosmetic procedures over medical skin checks. I do not feel she thoroughly examined me and I will schedule an appointment with another dermatologist to ensure I do not have any issues. I had been here before a few times before Covid so it was important to me to get back to annual check ups. They acted as if I were a new patient and not been there before. I found the entire experience to be cold and uncaring. I mentioned a lump on the back of my thigh. She asked where and when I could not find it quickly she seemed to want to more on so it was not looked at. She said she saw something pre-cancerous on my forehead and froze it. If she moved my hair back, she would have seen other or additional growth, but she did not. This is a big part of the reason I will go to another doctor. I was away the beginning of May or I would of wrote this sooner. I was reminded today when I received the bill that far exceeded what my insurance considered acceptable charges. I will not be a returning patient. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Margo Weishar in December of 2016. I am not impressed with her educational background. She was cold and impersonal. I had forgotten to take off my hat as it was a cold day and after her body check was completed, I asked her to please check my head, and the words that came out of her mouth verbatum were "I don't check any part of the body that is covered" Hello! She did comply and at that moment I knew she would never see me again. Dr. Margo should stick with her cosmetic health and wellness artistry. read more

This office is one of the most unprofessional Doctor's offices I have ever visited. The Doctor (not Dr. Weishar) I saw was friendly and inviting. However, the receptionist barely spoke a word to me and told me my insurance was accepted. Two weeks later, I find out my insurance is not accepted and I am stuck with a bill that I need to pay in full. After calling the office twice to resolve this, the "billing department" told me "you know there is something called a handbook that comes along with your new insurance." I think it is despicable that a doctor's office would tell you they accept you insurance, treat you, bill you full price, never tell you they don't accept this insurance until you get the bill and call them about it. Bad business. I will never go to this practice again if they were the last Dermatologist left on Earth. read more

I've seen Dr. Weishar for many years, I feel totally confident in her care. Any removals of suspicious things have healed perfectly, no visible marks whatsoever. The entire staff is great also, and very professional. I have enzyme peels with Sara, too. She's phenomenal. I highly recommend Dr. Weishar and her dermatology practice! read more

I arrived for my 9 o'clock appointment at 8:58 and the door was locked. At 9:02 the receptionist open the door. I filled out some forms and commenced to wait. While I was waiting, I could hear a meeting taking place in the back room. It sounded like an in-service about a new product or procedure. No one seem to be concerned that a patient had a 9 o'clock appointment. I waited until 9:22 and then told the receptionist that I would be leaving and never returning again. The receptionist apologized and said the meeting was going long in the back room. Such blatant disregard for the patient's time is astounding. I will not be returning to Dr. Weishar and I do not recommend her because of this kind of disregard for the patient's time. I have no opinion of her medical expertise but her business behavior is unacceptable. read more

Great practice. The reception staff in particular is very accommodating; when there was confusion regarding insurance-covered vs. cosmetic (out-of-pocket) procedures, the staff was incredibly understanding and knowledgeable and took the time to sort out the issue, including following up by phone several days later. I also felt very taken-care-of by Dr. Weishar, who gave a detailed assessment of what she observed so I wasn't in the dark about my particular medical issue, and proposed the cheapest and least invasive treatment first and only would go further if I felt comfortable doing so/could afford to do so. I will definitely be recommending this practice to friends as I felt taken-care-of with no added pressure to commit to expensive procedures unless I feel they are necessary. Terrible experiences after several years moving to a new practice. Lazy, rude and unresponsive administrative office staff (with a couple of exceptions.) Does not respond in a proactive or timely way to pharmacy requests. Long wait times (appointments never began close to on time) and long wait times to schedule appointments. Prescribes expensive brand name products, no discussion of generics, and does not give samples. Very financially driven - all about profit not patients. Clean office and Physician assistant is friendly. That's about all of the positive I can identify. read more

I just read the one and only other review about Springhouse Dermatology and Dr. Weishar; my experience, unfortunately, was quite the opposite (I should say 3 experiences as I went for 3 appointments, ending with a search for another dermatologist.) My 1st appointment was rushed with Weishar taking a quick look at my skin problem, she "guessed" it was fungal ("I am 90% sure," she said,) and she then gave me an ointment for fungal treatment. She also took a quick skin sample. The sample came back as not-fungal and she wanted me to schedule a follow-up visit for a biopsy. This did not take place. I was not even seen by Dr. Weishar but rather a Physician Assistant. She prescribed me an ointment with a steroid. I paid for my 2nd visit and left with my 2nd prescription, which did nothing. I called to try once more, thinking the 3rd time is the charm. On this visit, I was seen by the Physician Assistant at 1st, then Dr. Weishar, they disagreed on treatment, in front of me, and the atmosphere, for me, was dismissive. It was the late afternoon but that is no excuse for being unprofessional; besides, after three visits, my condition could not be identified. I was given yet another prescription! I was asked to schedule another appointment! 3 strikes and your out so I am now looking for another dermatologist. I would have considered seeing Springhouse once more in good faith but the Dr. is on vacation for a month. I hope my co-pays and insurance money adds to her vacation enjoyment? If you have a serious skin issue and you wish to have good care in lieu of a well-designed office with fancy leaflets about cosmetic surgery, Dr. Weisher is 'not' for you in my opinion. read more
