I spent the vast part of my life working outside, and outside of sunglasses, definitely abused my skin. She convinced me to start wearing a hat with a broad brim all the time, which has helped tremendously. From the beginning, I noticed how thorough she is in her examination. Nothing is overlooked, and anything suspicious is removed. Dr. Scola is kind, compassionate, and very easy to talk to. Her staff is the same way, and their communication is excellent. I cannot ask more of a doctor. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. I am absolutely grateful she is part of my medical care team. John Romer Schwenksville

On March 21st 2022 I went to Dr. Filomeno Scola and she informed me about two questionable moles…read morethat should be removed. I had to follow up with a different dermatologist that does plastic surgery to get the mole/sections on my body removed as they were larger and needed stitches. He said I also had another mole on my back that my original doctor (Dr. Scola) should have told me about and should have been removed. When I asked him if he could remove it, he told me that I had to go back to my original doctor for that. I made a second appointment and went back to Dr. Scola. I asked her about the mole and she said that she had noted in my file that I had an additional questionable mole or two (which was not verbalized to me at my first appointment) and that she can remove them if I want for peace of mind. She removed them and one mole came back as atypical melanocytes. That means more bad cells are there than good and some refer to it as pre-cancer. When I asked the person who called me why didn't Dr. Scola originally tell me about this mole, she put me on hold, talked to Dr. Scola and then told me that the doctor noted this originally in my file to monitor. But she never verbalized this to me and never told me to follow up. When I said this she said it is slow growing and in a year when I would have came back they probably would have removed it then... which means that that gave me a year more for bad cells to spread and possibly leading to cancer. Additionally, what if I didn't come in a year? This was my first appointment in a while and I wasn't instructed to make a follow-up appointment. She also had a defensive tone in her voice and said "She's been doing this over 30 years, she knows what she is doing" But why did I have to go to another dermatologist for him to tell me about this mole. Now I have to make another appointment to go back to the other dermatologist/plastic surgeon to have more of the section of my back removed for the pre-cancer. That is now 4 appointments total, as I was not originally relayed the proper information and the possibility of cancer forming

I came here three years ago for a checkup and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was kind,…read moreloving, and it seemed like a staff that treated you like family. I needed another check up and made an appointment. The practice is inside a large building with other practices. I was interrogated at the main entrance about my health, which really tripped me up. I was expecting to be screened, but the gentleman working seemed like he's be better working as an officer. He made me feel like I did something wrong? They have a machine to take your temperature, which was better than having some one personally taking your temperature. I have been through the screening process a lot so I know the routine, but this was by far the most intimidating. The office is on the main floor right next to the main door. By the time I checked in, I was not feeling as chipper as I usually am because of the screening. The staff at check in were very unhappy and not as loving as I remembered. The office shares the same space as a OBGYN. It was sad to see everyone coming in were on edge. I felt bad. And then the check in staff were discussing having covid and it really made everyone uncomfortable. I was brought back to my room and did not wait long for the doctor to come in. She was very warm friendly and tried very hard to make me feel comfortable. The only issue was that she rushed the check up that I didn't have time to ask my questions. The issues that I did want to talk to her about she said she could help, but just left. I am not sure what was up that day, but she was just trying to get me out the door. I really did not get the check up I needed and I was overlooked. The doctor was quite nice, but something was up that day, or Covid really changed how they worked with patients with regular check ups. I will be looking for another dermatologist in the future.

I found Dr. Yuan in my intro to plastic surgery and tweakments like Botox close to a decade ago. In…read morethe last decade, I have been to many other docs, from New York to Pa to Delaware. I have paid substantially more than I was ever charged with Dr. Yuan. Close to a decade later, I am excited to be returning to Dr. Yuan. He is a straight shooter. You will not leave him looking overdone or ridiculous. His eye for aesthetics is top tier and I have not found any better than Sean Yuan. If you don't need something or there is a better (and sometimes cheaper!) option for you, he advises you as such. There were procedures I had wanted done many years back. Dr Yuan advised me to proceed in a direction that wasn't as extreme as what I envisioned, and gave me the reasoning. I insisted on what I thought I could achieve, and found a doctor who has no qualms doing what I asked. For the sake of brevity, i will tell you that EVERY procedure or treatment that I proceeded with elsewhere, I not only paid more for the initial treatment, but doubled down as I ended up getting the treatment or procedure reversed. I greatly regret not just following Dr. Yuan's advice. I'd have saved a lot of mental and financial energy! If you are lucky enough to have landed on Dr. Sean Yuan in your search for aesthetic treatments, you have found the only doctor you will need. I would, and do, feel comfortable and confident enough in his expertise to allow him to proceed in the way he thinks is best. He is also not one of those docs who tries to upsell you and push products or procedures you don't need or didn't even inquire for. I am recommending my friends to go to him, despite my location now being a bit of a distance from him. He is very worth a bit of a commute. If i could post some advice that EVERYONE would see, it would be to go to Dr. Sean Yuan. I feel comfortable and confident saying assuredly that this doctor is THE ONE who will give you natural and wonderful results.
