This hotel is not bad. It is close to restaurants and it's close to the freeway. We just stayed again here recently and they had delicious cucumber and watermelon drinks and cookies at the lobby for refreshments. :)

Read for yourself. Only 2 are okay range. All else is low

So frustrating when one remembers to bring their pool chemical tester and the spa is unfit and unsafe to be in. We gave the persons at the front counter the information. They ensured maintenance would take care of it. We test again after waiting for them to fix it, and nope nothing changed. They got two stars due to cleanliness in the room and the lobby. The persons at the front counter were polite. Due to not being able to enjoy ourselves on our get away since we only stayed here due to pool AND SPA. Won't be back; if you believe what they say will make right? Don't know if you should. :( This is how they treat emergency workers. Not cool.

I've always found hotels within the Marriott brand to be reliably clean and well maintained, and this hotel was no exception. All the rooms at this place are suite type accommodations, with a separate living area and a bedroom. Given that, I thought the rooms here were actually somewhat compact, as I would have preferred a traditional hotel room, such as you get at a Fairfield. At this hotel, I think the living room area essentially gets unused and the bedroom area is very tight. Nevertheless, I thought the hotel was just fine. There is ample free parking and a free breakfast is included. There is a Black Bear Diner restaurant directly across from the hotel in the parking lot, so you can just walk over there for dinner if you choose to do so.

Always problems connecting to the Wi-Fi

The hotel is nice, it has clean rooms, those are the only positive things I can say. This is not the first time for me staying in this hotel... I try to avoid it because there is always something wrong, from the TV cable to the internet signal and I had 2 colleagues that had their car broken in different times at night parked in the hotel property where personal things were stolen and of course the hotel is not responsible . Today, again the internet wasn't working either in my cell phone or in my tablet; an error of no security would show up and don't let me connect to the Wi-Fi... This is not the first time that this happens. Again, the hotel is not responsible because it is a third party company and the lady at the front desk didn't have any clue on how to help me neither have any idea why it was happening. (Maybe I am the unlucky to have this problems.) My suggestion... Unless you really have to stay in Madera and want Marriott points, ( be sure to park your car in front of the entrance door and have luck with the Wi-Fi...) If not, go to the newer Hampton Inn a couple of miles away and be happy that everything is good.

What I liked: Reasonably priced Spacious room VERY COMFY BED Very clean and basic Conveniently located off freeway Lots of parking Breakfast available What I didn't like: You hear trains all night long The AC unit is so loud, sounded like a plane engine inside our room Coffee machines are out but the "hot water" dispenser had lukewarm tap water (nasty) in it. Front desk doesn't always have someone there Water bottles not included in room Barely any counter space for bathroom vanity - needed more space for my hair and makeup Again, super comfy bed and great price, I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.

This was without a doubt one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in lately. From the check-in to the huge and clean rooms and the large balconies you can't go wrong with this place. It also has a Big Bear restaurant next door but unfortunately it was closed due to the COVID-19. The only bad thing is the noise from the freeway if you have the windows open but otherwise I have no complaints. I loved the layout of the room and all the amenities plus the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in a long time. While I'm not planning on coming back anytime soon, I'll make this my place to stay while in beautiful Madera. 4.5 Stars for reasonably priced rooms and friendly service. Enjoy.

[Review #138] This review pertains to their customer service & public facilities. We had to make a pit stop to change my LO. The front desk receptionist was kind enough to direct me to the restroom. I docked 1 star because they didn't have a baby/family-friendly restroom or changing area. I had a bit of trouble balancing my newborn on the sink counter while cleaning him. IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS: That's why it's important to have a changing pad for sanitary purposes since you never know what kind of conditions you're faced with if it's not a "family establishment." I believe this suites hotel caters to the business traveler. The lobby lounge was nicely color-coordinated in a sea of blues & greens, decorated for the holidays with silver tinsel/foil trees on the bar & coffee tables, with a white Christmas tree welcoming the hotel guests. I sat in the lounge nursing my LO without being disturbed. The current music streamed in (at just the right volume) from the ceiling speakers. I felt comfortable & relaxed feeding my baby. I might not be a future/returning customer but I would recommend this hotel to travelers who are looking for a nice, clean establishment to rest their head or take a break.

Stayed one night during the weekend and thought it was overall a convenient place to crash and fair value. Breakfast included: - cereal - oatmeal - scramble eggs - biscuits and gravy - turkey patties and pork sausage - assorted breads, packaged muffins and cinnamon rolls - juice fountain, milk in the refrigerator, and yogurt There was also a simple fitness center (has a water dispenser inside, cold and room temperature water) and a pool onsite with a hot tub. At night the staff got very busy cuz it seemed like only one person was covering everything. But they are friendly and helpful. Can ask the front desk for free toothpaste and toothbrush. One notable con is that there were no hot water kettles nor a hot water dispenser in the lobby (except during breakfast). (How do u drink the teas?) Hot coffee was available in the lobby and in the room using a Keurig machine. Ended up using the microwave to heat up water.

I regret so much staying at your hotel Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Last year, same thing happened the staff did not clean my room and this time no one clean the room either. We also had No hot water. We had a very bad experience in this hotel. We stayed three nights and no one clean the room. We used the same dirty blankets and towels. For the readers, please consider finding a different hotel! We the customers need great customer service and respect! I hope you re-train your staff to make sure to clean all rooms everyday. Soon as you walk in the electric doors I could tell the difference. The beautifully decorated lobby, the plush dining area for breakfast, the food pantry. All that our last hotel was lacking. So much bigger and spread out. Breakfast is a hot and cold breakfast. The last hotel was just the cold breakfast. Here there were egg muffins sandwiches, quiche, and soufflés. 3 kinds of cold cereal, including my fav red berries. Chocolate, reg, and oat milk. Our last hotel lacked milk and cereal and hard boiled eggs. Hard boiled eggs, waffle machine, muffins and loafs, bagels , toast, ect. And of course there was a coffee and tea bar. The room wasn't as a good set up as our last one. Our last one had a bistro table and chairs and the desk and chair. A good set up to play cards or watch tv. The room was fresh, clean, and had no smell. We had a king bed, fridge, microwave, coffee makers, actual closet with iron and board. This hotel had a gym with treadmills, elliptical machine, weights, kettle balls, and exercise balls. Both hotels had pools, this one also had a hot tub. Review: Knights Inn Hotel - Discrimination Against Homeless Veteran and Service Animal…read moreMy recent experience at the Knights Inn hotel was deeply disturbing and frankly, unacceptable. As a homeless veteran accompanied by my legitimate service animal, I was met with blatant discrimination that violated both federal and state laws. Upon attempting to check in, I was subjected to questioning about my service animal that went far beyond what is legally permissible. The owner demanded "documentation" and seemed to imply my veteran status or homelessness somehow negated my right to have my service animal with me. This line of questioning is not only intrusive but directly contrary to the rights afforded to individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, the general attitude and treatment I received felt dismissive and prejudiced. It was clear that my circumstances were being judged, and this judgment extended to my service animal, who is a crucial part of my daily life and well-being. Regarding the law, it is imperative that the Knights Inn, and all public accommodations, understand and adhere to the following: * Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Under the ADA, service animals are not pets. Hotels cannot deny access to a person with a disability accompanied by a service animal, even if they have a "no pets" policy. They cannot charge extra fees or deposits for service animals. Hotels are generally only permitted to ask two questions: * Is the animal required because of a disability? * What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? They cannot ask for documentation, require the animal to demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. Service animals must be allowed in all areas where the public is permitted. * California Law: California law aligns with the ADA, further protecting individuals with disabilities and their service animals. California Civil Code sections, such as § 54.1 and § 54.2, explicitly grant individuals with disabilities the right to be accompanied by their service animals in public accommodations, including hotels. Additionally, California Penal Code sections like PC 365.5 make it a misdemeanor to prevent or interfere with a disabled person's rights to use their service animal. There are also protections under fair housing laws that extend to individuals in shelters and those who are homeless, recognizing the importance of assistance animals. The actions of the Knights Inn staff were a clear violation of these fundamental rights. Discrimination against a veteran, especially one experiencing homelessness, and denying access to a trained service animal is not just poor customer service; it is illegal and morally reprehensible. I hope this review serves as a warning to other potential guests and, more importantly, prompts the Knights Inn management to immediately educate their staff on disability rights and service animal laws to prevent such discriminatory incidents from happening again. Every individual, regardless of their housing status, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and their rights, particularly those related to service animals, must be upheld without question.
