Had issues with the tv first two nights but was resolved. Couch had melted (burn) fabric in one spot. Found a small piece of glass by the sliding door going into the bathroom. Comfy bed and pillows. Employees were great. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. Lady who runs the breakfast was top notch!! Construction around hotel made it difficult to get in to hotel but that's not their fault. read more

Front desk and breakfast room experience were great. The room; very dissatisfied. We are Lifetime Gold Elite Members and always select Marriott properties when possible. We were charged the total on our credit card before even arriving. From entering; Very sad basic landscaping needs attention. Glass entry doors smeared and dirty. Public areas fine. Room 311 was substandard. Dark and gloomy. Door missing on wardrobe and comforter took up most of the space in wardrobe. Nightstand only on one side of bed. Smeary fingerprints on every surface. The bathroom was filthy; soiled and mildewed shower stall. Cracked toilet seat lid. Window overlooking freeway. We arrived late and were too tired to deal with it first night but could not endure it for a three night stay. In the morning I spoke to the very nice young man at the front desk who showed me the other available room which was barely acceptable but an improvement. read more

We arrived after midnight on a Monday evening, technically Tuesday... to a smiling face at the desk. After the long trip, it was so welcoming to have that greeting. I noticed that they have a snack station where they sell ice cream, hot pockets, etc. We were promptly checked in and we stumbled like zombies into our room on the third floor. It was completely quiet. The bed was comfy and everything felt clean. I have to say that I appreciated the cleanliness of the carpeting. Coming from Florida, I'm used to a stickiness to the floor from humidity. I walked all over that floor with no ick stuck to my feet. Our room had a microwave, fridge, and a coffee pot provided. There's a pull out sofa, that actually looked like high-quality. Although, I did not test that out. The layout of the room included a desk area and a pivoting TV so that you can view it from the bed or the pull out sofa area. The bathroom was spotless. The water has a softener and it is super slippery. Be careful in the shower. It feels like you never get the soap off, which is very common with water softeners. The hairdryer that they provided was not my favorite. I'm usually OK with hotel hairdryers. This one dries fast, but it smells awful. You can smell the heating element. It just might be time for them to upgrade that hairdryer. Breakfast is served in the mornings from 6 AM to 9 AM. They have pandemic-proofed the area and provide individually wrapped slices of toast, bagels, muffin, etc. There's a juice station, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water. They serve oatmeal, scrambled eggs and sausage links, but you have to rely on the employee to serve those to you. I felt very safe eating breakfast here. There is a beautiful chandelier in the breakfast area. If I had to offer any constructive criticism, I would recommend dusting it. It's made out of beautiful clear blown glass globes. Unfortunately, it does show settled dust. Hey, I get it, I wouldn't want to clean that thing either. It looks tedious. Around the corner from the lobby there is an indoor pool, Business center and fitness center. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It's super close to everything. There is a mall within walking distance, albeit, a dying mall. There are several restaurants and other shopping within 1 mile, and it's about 20 minutes from the airport. This hotel is located next to the major mall in Sioux Falls off of 41st Ave. and near the 29 freeway. The lobby is clean, free local and national papers are available, and the person behind the main counter does everything correct according to Marriott policy which is rare these days. Once this happens, you know your stay will be great. The room is also well prepared, clean, and stacked with extra towels due to my online request through their app. The floor was very quiet, everything from the TV to microwave were working well. The bathroom was extremely clean as was the couch which is another pleasant surprise. Instead of a COVID breakfast grab bag, they provided a hot breakfast in the mornings. Overall, an excellent facility and great Marriott service to their members. read more

This is a newer, very nice Springhill Suites in Sioux Falls. All the common areas are kept very clean and neat. My room was spacious, with a microwave and mini-fridge, a nice desk / work area, a walk-in shower with a glass door, and a very comfy bed. While my room overlooked the parking lot, one of my work colleagues had a room that faced the highway. He's a light sleeper, and said that it was a little noisy. The fitness center, while small, had the essentials: a treadmill, an elliptical, a bench, and free-weights. The free breakfast in the morning was tasty. Their oatmeal could have benefited from a lot less water, but other than that, everything was great. There were eggs, sausages, yogurt, waffles, breads, donut holes (which were REALLY tasty. I should have asked the attendant where they got them), juices, cereals, and really good (strong) coffee. The staff I encountered were pleasant, parking was plentiful, and the location was great - easy access to the highway (route 29), not too far from the airport, and practically right on top of a mall. Getting to the parking lot is a bit tricky. You need to enter through one of the Empire Mall entrances and drive towards the hotel. There are two hotels right next to each other - the Springhill Suites and a Courtyard Marriott. Both were quite busy when I visited, so definitely call ahead for reservations. read more

Every one of the people I met at SpringHill was outstanding for the 13 days I was at this location; from the people at the desk to the cleaning staff on my floor. The WIFI was problematic. The water is strange leaving a slimy, glistening appearance on my skin when showering. I did not eat breakfast but there is an outstanding buffet every morning. About my checkout, someone came banging at my door at 11:30 AM. I thought it was the police. I thought only the police knock on doors as did this individual. She was blond with a pony tail while there was another woman who was standing in the background watching this interaction later to learn she was a temp from Marriott Courtyard. I advised the blond haired woman that checkout was at 12:00 PM and I will be checking out at that time. Fifteen minutes later there is another person banging on my door, this is the temp asking me if I am checking out or if I am staying another day. I reiterated checkout is at 12:00 PM and I will be checking out at that time. At 12:00 PM, someone rings the phone in my room. I answer it with no one at the other end. At 12:02 the TV goes off. So after having a wonderful stay with great SpringHill staff it was demolished within 30 minutes. read more

The whirlpool tub in my room was a bonus since I did not take advantage of the hot tub during this pandemic. The tv was in an awkward spot and breakfast was not great. read more

The Springhill Suites are found in the Northwest corner of the Empire Mall area. The hotel is newer and well maintained. It would be nice for a business traveler. Room was clean and attractive. Each room has a little living room just inside the door. Nice walk-in shower in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. There were several nice options including cooked eggs. Fresh spinach and other ingredients could be added to the eggs. I also liked all of the things that could be added to the oatmeal like walnuts, dried blueberries, other dried fruit, agave syrup, cinnamon, etc. But the downfall was that the actual oatmeal had the consistency of wall paper paste. You could not have found a piece in it that looked like a flattened oat. Thankfully the added walnuts and fruit gave it some texture. Worst air conditioning system imaginable, occupancy sensor shuts heating and cooling off after two hours and you wake up uncomfortable several times during night. Management had no control over room comfort. Quality and workmanship is terrible on room walls, fixtures, and furniture. Pool facilities and breakfast also serve neighbor hotel. Breakfast was terrible: steamed sausage and rubber eggs. Pull out sofa bed was the only good part of this room. Most SpringHills are nice but there many better options a couple blocks away. read more

The staff was friendly enough when I checked in. Unfortunately, I returned to my room around 1400. Someone had been in my room, but the bed was not made, there were no fresh towels. was excited to stay here due to reviews I'd read about other Springhill locations. Sadly, that enthusiasm died once we entered our room. Let me back up a bit...Stephanie, who checked us in with no reservation, was delightful, professional, and accommodating. Our room, while it "loooked" a bit trendy, really was just that: a look. One sofa, so uncomfortable, and one "office" chair at the desk, had me running to the car for our camp chairs. The sofa had a single-size trundle bed with a mattress so terrible you felt nothing but the springs. The bathroom had no direct lighting for putting on make up. The only overhead lighting was over the stool and over the tub/shower. The bathtub drain was clogged so I found myself standing in four inches of water after a quick shower (I didn't even wash my hair). Thankfully, the beds were cushy and inviting. No complaints here. Complimentary breakfast of decent scrambled eggs, under-cooked sausage and tasteless oatmeal. We tossed it and went out for breakfast. They also had a decent selection of cold cereals and bagels, etc, but I don't eat that. I really don't like giving a less than friendly review, but I'll think twice about staying at a Springhill again. Two stars, one for each bed. read more

Great design! Our two queens + a pullout bed room was spacious, clean, and very modern. With the exception of a broken lock on the sliding bathroom door, everything about the room was designed with a lot of thought with a focus on comfort, convenience, and privacy for its guests. We just relocated to Sioux Falls from Austin, TX. We needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while waiting on our stuff to get to town and came across this hotel online. The pics looked good, it was a suite and the amenities seemed fair for the price. Correct on all accounts. Pluses: We didn't have a reservation and the front desk girl got us a cheaper price than we were able to find online. Hot breakfast with a waffle maker, eggs, bacon. Comfy bed and pillows. Large, clean shower. iHome radio to listen to your MP3 player in the room. Nice TV. Cool decor in room, halls, lobby. Pleasant staff who were readily available. Minuses: Couch in room a little hard. For a newer hotel, some wear starting to show like wallpaper bubbles. When we have out-of-town guests come to town, we will definitely recommend this hotel. read more

Beautiful rooms, wonderful breakfast. Design nightmare, however, for an all-suite hotel. The overall lack of accessible outlets and only one outlet near a mirror (in the bathroom), makes it very challenging to share the suite with more than one person. If anyone is using the bathroom, there is nowhere else to dry/curl/straighten hair etc. The only other mirror in the room is on the door of the wardrobe, right next to the bed. If you want to use it to put on makeup, you and your makeup bag will be sitting on the bed. Sadly, the outlet/mirror oversight is a deal-breaker for us. Otherwise we loved the hotel. read more

Room was okay however way over priced for the room- very loud, we had a incodent happen on sunday morning 10/31/21 my mom was in the shower and slipped and fell out of it onto her head cracked it open, now keep in mind she is 80- very very lucky yes she cracked her head open thankfully I was in the room and heard her scream, I was able to help her up get a towl for her head, now heads bleed alot anyways, we got her cleaned up and went down to get coffee, she had a towl on her head still so one of the workers asked if she would like some Ice and asked what room we were in, we told him we got a visit from Jennifer who was very nice and seemed concerned, filled out the incodent report of what happened, my mom chose not to rush to ugent care as the bleeding slowed down and stopped she wasnt dizzy or her eyes were not dialated, she was not nausious either she told Jen she would go if she experienced any of this, she didnt want to go because I was flying back to Ca later in the day. She was told to call the hotel later and let them know how she was- she did do that and no one seemed to even know why she was calling.... I called Lisa Vanwell one of the managers on Monday once I got back into Ca to follow up with them and she had no idea what I was talking about so communication is lacking, I wasnt expecting anything for free but i was expecting someone to care that something like this happened, it could have been so much worse than it was, they need to change the set up in the bath room we did see a bath mat stashed in a cubby of the cabinet after the fact- should be kept some place near the shower, this was also a handicapped room, we didnt ask for handicapped room as my mom is NOT handicapped but it was.. read more

Overall a good experience at this hotel. It is very modern but nice and clean. We stayed in a king suite which was not as big as I'd hoped but still very nice. Only complaint is being so close to the interstate you hear alot of traffic. But it is close to the mall and close to several eating places and all with in walking distance. Hotel had all you can need with a pool, workout room, contanental breakfast and full staff. Walk in showers where a plus and the beds are comfy! read more

We stayed the night of the Bob Seger concert. Check in was smooth the staff was very friendly the common areas neat and clean. Our room was clean. We travel with a LIGHT that tells us if there are nasties lurking around. In room 301 there were none. I would say this is a great place to stay. We'll be back. read more

All employees were extremely nice!!! Our room was fine. We heard absolutely no noise from other rooms or traffic. It is under construction, so that was a bit weird with unfinished walls and workers around. The pool is very small. Our teenage boys absolutely loved the breakfast bar!!! My family and I arrived here at around 730 at night. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was awesome. Very roomy. Enough space for all of us. 2 adults, 2 children l and 1 infant. Very clean. The bathroom only has a shower but that's ok. The next morning we had breakfast in the lobby. There is a nice variety of things so everyone was able to eat. The bed was so comfortable. I have spent few more miserable nights and it is unfortunate as the room itself was nice and roomy. However the noise was unbearable. Very little noise protection between floors. The people overhead were up until after 2:30am. In addition, the location seems to be near a drag raceway based in the road noise until the wee hours of morning. Make sure you ask for a room away from the major traffic. I set my white noise app as loud as it would go and could still hear the engines roaring. read more

stayed fri feb 11th for a quick get out of town for the 2 of us. we did dinner and then went back to the hotel. no tub only a shower but we're okay with that. everything is updated and new. very clean and free breakfast area was well kept! The beds are soft and the sitting area is nice with a microwave and fridge. nice little suite and will stay again! We only paid $76 with a AAA discount not a bad price!
