We stayed here one night since we had a wedding in town. We self parked in the adjacent garage to avoid the $40+ hotel rate for parking. We stayed on points which was a good use of them since the rates here are not cheap. It is conveniently located across the street from the convention center, down the street from the Fiserv Forum, and nearby other downtown restaurants and attractions. The front desk crew was super friendly and helpful. We were given and upgraded room as Platinum members but unfortunately if that was really an upgraded room it had a lot to be desired. Yes it was big but it faced a wall. Back down to the front desk I went and got reassigned a bright corner room. It was smaller but basically the same features but not walled in. We have stayed at many Springhill Suites but never in a renovated old property so the rooms here were much smaller and not very suite like. The room was clean and in good shape. The breakfast was typical of Marriott properties that have free breakfast. The woman tending to the breakfast area was super friendly and a good ambassador for this hotel. I have stayed here on two different occasions in the past year and both times were a good experience. The staff has been friendly. My rooms were clean. The hotel is in a great location to see a concert at Fiserv Forum. It's maybe a 10 minute walk. No need to uber or drive unless you just want to. There are plenty of places to eat and even a few places to shop within walking distance. We walked over to a food hall, and even walked to the Public Market. With the bathroom, it is just sliding door, and depending on the room you have, the tv could be in a weird spot. They pop popcorn in the lobby, and they have free breakfast. read more

Entire hotel was clean and modern and there's a decent BBQ place attached, which was convenient. Wound up staying here for a concert in the area and was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Some hotels can be quite the headache and we lucked out here. The price was competitive and the booking process was easy. The entire hotel (lobby, elevator, breakfast area, room, and bathroom) were a lot cleaner than most hotels. We didn't have that great of a view, but that wasn't a deal breaker when it comes to the experience. They have a parking garage we found through SpotHero that wasn't too expensive. If you booked through them, it would be more expensive. All of the staff we interacted with were incredibly nice and we watched them handle quite a difficult interaction with relative grace. They even give out complimentary bottles of water if you ask! The breakfast food was the standard great but not so great hot food bar. However, the staff really did work to keep the food replenished and warm. The location is pretty centralized for main attractions in the area. The hotel is attached to a barbecue restaurant. We didn't get a chance to check it out, but if we're back we might! If I'm ever back in the area, I know that I'll look into checking out a hotel here given the experience and location. read more

I arrived on 4/12/25 with my family from Chicago, only to realize I mistakenly booked our stay for 4/26-4/28 instead of the correct dates. I approached Parker Cristan, the hotel supervisor, for help. Not only was he completely unhelpful, but he was also dismissive and rude. When I asked if he could at least confirm my later reservation, he refused to even check the system and told us to find another hotel--delivered in a tone that felt discriminatory, as I am Asian and was traveling with my family. Feeling defeated, I tried contacting Expedia but had no luck. That's when Matthew, a front desk agent, stepped in on his own. He kindly offered to help, found my reservation right away, and--despite it being a third-party booking--went the extra mile to switch it to the correct dates. Thanks to him, our trip wasn't ruined. While Parker stood by criticizing Matthew for helping, Matthew showed what real customer service looks like. Hotel management should seriously reconsider who holds the supervisor title. Matthew deserves recognition--he turned a nightmare into a great stay. Thank you, Matthew! read more

Stayed here for the weekend on a whim. I had never been to Milwaukee before and I must say, if we do come back, we would absolutely stay here again. The location is pretty centralized for a good downtown walking vacation. We were able to go south (3rd ward) and North fairly easily on foot. We also saw some good public transport and Uber was readily available in this neighborhood. The hotel itself is nice. Clean and tidy. Our room was like a junior suite so we had a sitting area along with a huge closet and fridge/microwave area. We didn't experience any loudness through the walls. There was one guy talking really loudly on his phone in the hallway, two days in a row, but I feel I can always hear what's going on in the hallways of a hotel. The bed was sooo comfy. I mean we lay down on a break from sightseeing and accidentally fell asleep for 3 hours good. The service here was very, very good. We got great recommendations from the front desk. We were mistaken about the time for breakfast, but they gave us a to-go box anyway. They gave us a hi and bye everyday. Really nice. read more

I stayed here a while back when visiting Milwaukee for a wedding. Our initial room just didn't meeting our needs (won't go into detail). Thankfully the staff placed us into a new room right away. The hotel was altogether accommodating. The lobby features a nice breakfast space, plenty of tables and enough room to maneuver the breakfast buffet. The breakfast food was fine but not veggie sausage, one sample was enough. The rooms were quiet and featured a modern design. So quiet in fact that our baby was able to sleep (thank god). Valet parking was roughly $30 a day. Not bad for a big city. There is not much parking near the hotel so I definitely recommend using the valet parking. They will bring the car in and out as many times as you want. I would definitely stay here again! read more

Room was okay... modern design, comfy bed, great view but bathroom design was horrible and shower needed updating on grout. Hospitality was subpar. Asked for room services (room to be cleaned-never happened, had to call down multiple times for requests, items would never be brought up to room- attendant was rude and demanded guests come down to the lobby for blankets/ sheets/towels/ etc. Refusal from front desk to clean room and change sheets when requested. This is the first time we have had to change the bed sheets ourselves at a hotel. This is not an Airbnb but a professional hotel. Will not be choosing this hotel again. read more

We stayed one night here. It was wonderful. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was good. The French toast sticks were surprisingly really good. The room was nice and updated. Everything was clean. We did the park and stay package so it included valet parking. They got our car out fast. We actually arrived at 1:45pm and check in is at 4pm. I used the app so I was able to let them know that we would be early. I messaged through the app to confirm our room would be ready. Quick reply and they said it was ready. The location is great! So we were on the 3rd floor directly over the barbecue restaurant. Getting off the elevator the whole hallway reeks of smoke. Our room had the same smell that transferred to our clothes. I suggest you get another floor opposite the smoke house. The room was nicely done and comfortable and staff helpful. Location is good as a base to travel and sightsee. If you stay in then smokehouse rooms and floor we will have a whole bunch of new canine friends. Until the issues are fixed and my review isn't the only negative on this issue, we will seek out better smelling room alternatives. Wanted to update upon check out front desk staff was very accommodating and provided us with some comps towards our stay. While we still smell like ribs and pulled pork it was a nice attempt and setting things right. Thank you read more

This is a very nice adaptive reuse of an old building. The interior is clean and modern. My room on the sixth floor was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well lit and laid out. The TV had plenty of cable options including the ability to log into Netflix. I did not have time for the free breakfast the morning of my stay. The front desk staff both at check-in and checkout were very pleasant and competent. This is a reasonably priced, nice Marriott option in Milwaukee. read more

This was the perfect little getaway for our 4 year anniversary weekend! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcome and at home. As soon as we walked through the door we were blown away by their hospitality and efficiency. They seriously set the tone for our stay. You cannot buy sincerity like that! I am a very anxious traveler and the reception put me immediately at ease. Our room was spotless and gorgeous, and we were greeted upon entry with soft lighting and music, and a message on the tv welcoming us. I do have to mention a few issues we had with our room that was no fault of the staff that caused me to rate this hotel 4 stars. First, our room was lacking a closet or any ironing supplies, which made the formal attire we had brought with us a bit of a challenge. I've never encountered a hotel room before with no closet so we had to think on our feet a bit. Second, the hvac unit in the room had no "fan on" setting. Unfortunately, the unit clicking on and off to keep the temperature consistent was quite loud and jolted me away throughout the night, which was unpleasant. Third, the walls had almost no insulation in them. We could hear our neighbors having a quiet conversation in the next room over and it was...awkward, to say the least to know they could hear us just as well. We didn't want to bother our neighbors or staff to keep it down because they weren't even being loud, the walls were just atrociously thin. Their conversation actually kept me up at night as well, and eventually I had to put a white noise app on my phone to get some sleep. A serious overlook to not have decent insulation for a hotel! Our apartment that was built in 1964 had better sound dampening. Overall we had a great experience besides some hiccups, and we would definitely stay again. read more

We took the family for a spring break adventure to see the sights and museums of Milwaukee and based on location and price took a shot on this spot for a one-night stay. Almost everything was perfect with our stay. The room was really spacious and great for the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids). There was more than enough room for the pack-and-play and the rest of our things. The hotel is in a great location to the museums, restaurants and kid activities as well. Our room was ready right at 4. The breakfast was also surprisingly great - with a lot of options and even left the kids happy (which is tough to do). And, for us, the coffee was delicious. The only downside was the room was really warm and adjusting the thermostat didn't do a lot of good in lowering the temperature. All in all - it was a good experience for a quick trip away and we would definitely stay here again. read more

Upon a weekend trip, the first leg was in Milwaukee. ROOM: The room comfortably fit the family. The bathroom was clean and the features of the room were updated. There is a fridge to store items and a desk. The bed is comfortable and you can definitely get some good night sleep since luckily, Milwaukee is not super crazy at night. CON: The parking is expensive ...! Even by California standards, I was surprised how parking was priced like that. If they can command that price, so be it, but it was a bit of a sticker shock. I would look into other alternatives if possible. Overall, a good spot. With breakfast included and comfortable rooms, I was pleased with our one night stay. read more

As a Marriott Rewards member for 30 years with over 500,000 lifetime points, this hotel is probably my biggest disappointment. The biggest issue was the HVAC--my thermostat has been on 62 even when turned up to 90. Also, there is a BBQ restaurant on the first floor. I love smoked meats and do my share at home, but every square inch of this hotel is permeated with the smell of wood smoke. All my clothes smell like I've been sitting around the campfire for 24 hours. The rooms are tiny and the sconce lighting give the rooms a low light glow, similar to a dive bar. There is a desk lamp and floor lamp in the living area but the sleeping area is very poorly lit with no available lighting. There is no parking available, only valet at $30 / night. There is not even an option of parking you own vehicle. On a final note, went down to for breakfast at 6:30 and while eggs and sausage were out in the chafing dishes, no accompaniments were out as well as no plates, utensils, etc. Basically the facility is lacking all around. Sorely disappointed. read more

First the positives: Clean hotel, comfortable beds, nice evening and morning staff and nice valet staff. Close to good restaurants. Negatives: Expensive valet parking. Breakfast has limited options. I was given a accessible room when I booked a regular king, not a great feeling to be bumped. When I asked for a shaving kit the overnight counter guy made it seemed like I annoyed him, and didnt give me any shaving cream. Overall a nice hotel but I wouldn't stay here again. Being an elite member doesn't matter. At least at the hilton they recognize your elite status and give you the rooms that you reserve. read more

Very clean rooms and friendly and helpful employees. Our first night, we had very noisy neighbors who were partying until well after 2am. We called down to the front desk and they were very quick to confront the noisy guests. Parking at the hotel is quite expensive ($30) but there are several lots nearby that are much cheaper. We used SpotHero to find the best deals for overnight parking nearby and paid $7 a night. Just be prepared to walk a few blocks. read more

This is a very nice hotel with a friendly front desk staff. The rooms are nice and spacious. Lobby is a good place to hangout in and a decent breakfast in the am. They do have some serious issues to work out. I had to wait close to two hours for my room. I went to a local bar to watch a game while I waited. This wait could really be an issue if I had to be somewhere. The next day it was close to 6 pm before they came to service my room. Unacceptable. $30 for parking a little steep. Especially when you car is stored outside. Finally, the real issue...there is a constant odor of BBQ! Even in my 4th floor room. Especially strong in the lobby. This gets old quick because my closes smell like it that I left out. read more

This is a beautiful, smartly designed and elegantly appointed new hotel option in downtown Milwaukee. I travel to this city often on business, or just to get away some weekends from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life in Chicago, and was treated to a night's stay here this week by Marriott Hotels as a longtime Rewards member. I can't say enough about the staff, most notably Bria, who very ably and professionally manages the front-desk during weekday evenings. She took care of me at check-in, and is an asset to the hospitality industry as well as a credit to the Marriott brand. The one thing that consumers should be a bit wary of here, however, is the valet service. When I pulled up to the hotel and asked as to the entryway to their parking garage, I was told that the only option they offer at Springhill Suites is valet. The charge for it is $30 per night, and the attendant for some reason parked my vehicle somewhere where a white, pasty substance dripped all over my car overnight. My vehicle is a fully restored, classic 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora, and I had just had it waxed and detailed the day before my road trip. The now hardened liquid stain runs from my sunroof, all the way down the windshield and across the hood on down to the bumper. I took my car to a hand car wash when I returned home to Chicago and they were unable to remove it, so now I have to see if I can identify another expert who can buff it off of my car without affecting the paint and gloss finish that I paid $4,600 for. I suppose he thought that this was somehow funny, but I can guarantee that a newer luxury vehicle entrusted to him by some white businessman would not have been treated so carelessly, and callously. read more

Not so clean and construction was poor. I have been a platinum elite member of Marriott Hotels for many years - I typically stay between 50 - 80 night a year at various Marriott hotels when I travel for work or for pleasure. I enjoy Marriott hotels because they tend to be consistently clean and nice to stay in. My wife and I have stayed at several of the Milwaukee Marriott brand hotels over the years. I was in room 535 at the Springhill Suites Milwaukee on Dec 31st and there were several things that I was concerned about since I know that the place only opened 6 months before. Photos of all of these things are attached: 1. There was a gaping hole in the tub faucet (clearly from construction) where water can easily get into the wall and do serious damage. 2. The toilet paper holder was lose and about to come out of the cabinet that it was secured to. 3. The robe hook on the wall was loose and a good tug would pull it out of the wall. 4. The semi-circular shower rod was very loose and so the curtain was on the floor. (Although I have never, in all my years, seen a semi-circular shower rod that held up) 5. There were crumbs on the chair 6. The floor was clearly not vacuumed or cleaned since we found part of a slice of pizza unders the desk and the carpet had a lot of crumbs on it. Overall the place is decent and the lobby is nice, but I worry about the construction since it has only been open for 6 months and this level of wear-and-tear is not something that I expect to see at a Marriott brand hotel unless it is older. We would rather pay more for a cleaner and nicer room - which is too bad since I had hoped this would be a good option in Milwaukee. read more

We arrived at 5pm, and although we had reservations for two rooms, they did not have any ready. I think that if you arrive after check in time, there should be a room waiting. If anyone walks in without a reservation they should be the ones to wait. Also, the line was long and they really needed more than one person checking in guests. So, maybe this hotel just needs to hire more staff? When we did get to our rooms, mine had a musty smell, and the window does not open, but I did not complain, because I really just needed to get ready to go out. We ran the fan, which was very noisy (and I suspect the filter needed changing, hence the smell) It was too noisy to run while we slept. Also, the shower really needed regrouting. The bed was comfortable. That was a plus. Breakfast was fairly standard free breakfast, a bit below average - we thought the eggs were terrible: salty and with a lot of filler. The fruit selection were unripe pears and bananas. read more

I used to check in on Monday night and the front desk attendant, Ana was always friendly and welcoming.
