Indoor pool - clean but definitely not heated

The most heavenly beds you will ever sleep on! I've gotta say I was pleasantly shocked at the comfort and magical nights sleep during our stay. We stayed in a 2 Queen suite that had a separate living room area with desk and couch/pull out bed. Mini fridge and microwave made keeping snacks and small meals on hand easy. The room was clean and maintained well (furniture in decent shape without stains). Breakfast came with our stay, but we learned the waffle maker only comes out on the weekends - a big deal for some in our party... Otherwise, dry pantry items, fruit, hot eggs and sausage patties did just fine for a complimentary breakfast. They also have a full bar, plenty of communal work space, and an outdoor patio with a propane fire pit. The minus one star is because of the pool temperature. Don't get me wrong, the seating area was clean, the water was clear, but the temperature was frigid. So much so, the little ones lips were purple in no time. It clearly didn't stop anyone from splashing around but being heated would've been a complete 5-star package. Staff was wonderful, both late night check-in and midday checkout.

We came to town to visit family and decided to stay here for the night. It's a beautiful hotel. Spotless clean. Friendly service. And the rooms! The rooms are gorgeous! I have a feeling this is a newer build because the layout of the rooms is like nothing I've ever seen before and everything in the hotel feels new.

    Very cool private desk area

Excellent stay, exactly as expected. Clean, friendly and safe. The perfect place to crash on a road trip through the area, would reccomend.

Good hotel to stop at when on the road. Clean and friendly staff. Due to Corona not much of a breakfast, but that's to be expected.

At breakfast I inquired about the possibility of bed bugs. She claimed they had them twice in 5 years but none now but would have someone check. I showed her my welts and she dismissed them saying that's not what they look like. Google images and two people I know that have had experiences with them believe they were caused by bed bugs. I called the hotel this morning. I believe it was the owner who answered. Said the manager handles the exterminator who is "state certified ", (made mention of this several times) and she would call me back. Crickets....meaning no call back. My anxiety is so high fearing I brought them home, not to mention I'm an ichy, blotchy mess. I'm shocked this national chain allows a franchisee to run a hotel with their branding in this condition. Manager actually confronted me for my review on the booking site. Had a million excuses for why this hotel is neglected, while some might be valid we are now three years post covid, it can't continue to be an excuse.

In the morning I went to get the free breakfast and was told there was none, that Travelodg no longer did breakast. In the photos it shows a brakfast bar. The place ws run down and almost appeared abandoned from the street. The key car had obviously been used many times. It did not work. Two men came out, they could not get it to work. They brought out a card for a different room, it did not work. Finally we got into the roomm The room was clean and comfortable though. Later I found I could have paid the same for a Best Western which was a much nicer hotel with a full breakfast. Buyer beware

The carpet was dirty with stains everywhere. There was a strong urine/ammonia smell in the room that made my husband concerned about whether he could even stay the night. The room door kept coming open and there was a space under the door for bugs to get in. The bathroom was equipped with a shower stall instead of a full bath, but also it was the size of a phone booth inside, and the toilet seat was loose and the TV remote only worked intermittently. I did locate a small grassy area in a back alley where our dog could go and I bagged diligently. She was always on leash, never barked once, nor was she even near anyone. One would have to see me walking her in the alley to know that she even existed. My husband was out working with a colleague and needed more time. Though I'd already checked out to wait for him, he had me asked me to book another day. I was sitting outside with our dog and all our bags, in the heat, with a fracture boot on my right foot. I called the hotel from a bench outside the office. Unbelievably!!! Unbelievably, he yelled at me saying, "We don't want you because of your dog. We don't want you. Never come back!" He then hung up on me. They left us to sit on the street in the heat,, Ironically, refusing to let us stay in the awful room I couldn't wait to leave. Also, some very questionable looking clientele were roaming about. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. They aren't really pet friendly and the place stinks of ammonia/urine. I can't believe they carry the Wyndham name, very deceptive given the poor quality of their hotel and the abysmal behavior of their staff.
