Last minute reservations. The man host was friendly and smiled alot when getting us checked in at 10pm on Saturday night. Service was good, our room was clean. I was very pleased with the free continental breakfast. Juice bar, and the cheese omelets were delicious, I couldn't believe it. Very pleased with this short stay, they made it enjoyable and easy for me.

Lunch (not a normal thing at a Hampton) compliments of the thoughtful staff

Traveling for business brings me to many Hampton Inn locations all around the country. They are consistently very good and I enjoy that I am never surprised by some kind of inadequacy. My stay at this Hampton though was a wee surprising. My car keys became misplaced and all in house searched diligently throughout the hotel in an effort to assist. Their call to action paid off for me when they ultimately found my keys. Further, when my business nearby was rescheduled several hours out...they made sure that I had a healthy lunch as well. The staff in Chambersburg is the extraordinary difference that should help you decide on this location above all others in the area

I'm thinking that this property was once a Holiday Inn as I don't recall seeing a Hampton with two large ballrooms and a conference room on the ground floor, but maybe I missed it. Anyway, the hotel is clean and quiet and comfortable. As I'm going to be working here in Chambersburg for the next several weeks, off and on, so far, this is looking like it's going to be my hotel of choice. They do have a breakfast in the morning, or you can walk next door to the Bob Evans or across the street to the Cracker Barrel. Staff is nice and friendly. The room cleaning crew did a great job.

Clean room. Great breakfast selection. Like most Hampton Inns. Only thing I didn't like is no indoor pool.

The plumbing is running right down the wall behind the tv, and it has become a constant disturbance. Who thought of this design should have wrapped the pipes at least. If you are a light sleeper or don't want to hear toilets flushing and the plumbing noise from the floor above, I strongly recommend requesting a room on the top floor. My wife and I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chambersburg while we were in the area for a funeral. We chose this hotel because of the Marriott name and the convenient location. One thing that I found strange was the pricing. I originally looked at a king room, but it was almost $50 more per night than the room with two queen beds. To me, that doesn't make much sense. A room with two beds can accommodate more people, especially since these suites also have a sofa/trundle bed. You could potentially have 3-5 people staying in that room, compared with a king room that would generally have fewer guests. Since breakfast is included, you'd think the room accommodating more people would cost more, not less. I realize hotel pricing is based on demand, but the difference still seemed backwards to me. The outside of the hotel could use a little attention and cleaning up. However, once you walk inside, it's a completely different story. The hotel was very clean, there were no unpleasant smells, and our room was exceptionally clean. I also really appreciated the little personal touch from housekeeping. There was a note from the person who cleaned our room, which I thought was very nice and showed some pride in their work. The location is very convenient, with plenty of shopping, fast-food restaurants and other dining options nearby. It's an easy place to stay when you're in Chambersburg and need everything close by. Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is clean, the location is convenient, and housekeeping did a very nice job. But if you stay here, I would definitely request the top floor because the plumbing noise from the room above is loud enough to be a real disturbance.

We needed a cot and they provided one along with plenty of extra pillows and complimentary items that people forgot, such as deodorant. They allow pets for a very small fee, and the pet room that we stayed in was very clean with no pet odors. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was that the pool had way too much chlorine, but once we complained it was better the next day. The pool area flooring is also a bit slippery so they use rubber mats in a path to the pool and hot tub, but they are hard on feet and were a little painful to walk on. There were plenty of towels in the pool area and it was nice and quiet. They have a fitness room for anyone wanting to keep up on workouts. Their continental breakfast was pretty typical and satisfactory. The hotel is about half an hour from Gettysburg if you want to spend some time there. The area has plenty of shopping and restaurants very nearby. The only restaurant that we tried and did not like was an Italian pizza place called Caretti's. I would not recommend eating there. The food was not good and the owner was rude. Other than that we had a great trip and we were very comfortable. I would stay here again, although I might take some sort of slip on shoes to the pool the next time. Stayed August 2015, traveled with family

The elevator was re labeled by hand and just very strange. I could tell by the morning buffet that they just cheap out in everything, not typical of other properties of this brand.
