Nice little park nestled in a neighborhood. There are 4 infant swings, 4 kids swings, and 2 of the…read moredisabled swings. That and there is about a baseball sized field. Park benches, a place to grill and HUGE trees shade about half of it. One side does border a busy road, so it's not very quiet, but it made a nice place for my son and I to hang out this Saturday morning. Attaching tons of photos so you get an idea.

People get there EARLY. I'm talking, I was there 2+ hours before 1st pitch and there were at least a couple rows of cars and more coming already. It gets packed fast so just be aware of that if you're driving. Workers do a good job directing people on the way in, but on the way out it's pretty much a mess. This field and facility are very well maintained. Everything seemed fairly clean, considering how big of a space it is. There is a big lawn behind center field where a lot of young kids run around trying to catch home run balls from the team warmups. It's very family-oriented, just a great and enjoyable atmosphere. The worst part are certainly the prices. If you're not willing to pay minimum $50 at the gift shop don't even walk in there, that was obscene. The food prices are definitely up there as well, but it is still a professional sporting event and that's just how food prices are for that so you have to keep that in mind and be prepared. Also, security can get a little weird if you're not in the main seating area. They make you scan your ticket multiple times to where it gets a little ridiculous. Not a fan of that or the Tigers, to be honest, but I'd come back again because there's few things better than being out at the ball game!

There are several baseball fields, a playground for kids, basketball nets, tennis courts, a street hockey rink, volleyball nets, and lots of grass to just hang out. There are also pavilions if you want to have a kids birthday party or get-together. There are restrooms on site and plenty of parking, although it may be tight on nights when there are baseball games. There is a pretty decent walking path as well if you're just out here to walk. The grounds are pretty well kept and they seem safe.

This was the first park in the central Florida area that actually made me feel like I was on a real…read morehike! From the outer appearance, driving into the park, it looks like a typical Florida, flat-surface park. However, once you enter the trails, it's very 'hilly', has extremely challenging bike ramps, fishing areas, views, and be prepared to sweat if you're walking through the biking area/ trails. I'm looking forward to the challenge again and returning to the park for a hike.

Participated in a 2 day Holiday Craft Show at RP. First time here. Impressive facility for a medium…read moresize town like Lakeland. It has an arena, theater, 2 large exhibit halls and various meeting rooms. Nice place, don't know how long it's been built but it looks new. Lots of room, there were about 200 vendors in the 2 exhibit halls. Being inside with air conditioning is great. Lots of potties, very clean and nice staff. Only complaint was lack of food choices. There was a 4 Rivers BBQ in the hallway between exhibit halls and a little bar set-up. Could have used more choices. If an event is being held at the RP, don't worry about this venue, it's very nice.

There are also covered bleachers at some fields, and grassy areas. There isn't too much shade, and the concession is overpriced ($5 for a cheeseburger with no toppings available, $2.50 for a soda, etc) and limited options. Admission is set by the event host more than the site, but since it's high, that's likely in part due to the site so expect it to always be a bit high ($10/ per person per day this weekend) All in all, it checks the boxes for a high school size set of fields.

We sat at the top of this grassy hill that had picnic tables all along it, which afforded great views of the game and much better than being squashed in some seat next to a sweaty guy. As long as it isnt terribly crowded like on the day we were there, you could really just relax and take in a nice afternoon of baseball. Otherwise sit up and pay attention, as the people watching is hilarious and sad all at the same time. Oh and dont get beaned with a ball.
