This review is related to the service department. We brought our GTI to a different VW dealership on the mainline for an extended warranty-covered water pump/thermostat leak. They tried to lie to us and say it was unrelated and we would have to pay around a grand to have the parts fixed. We didn't believe them and came to springfield VW who correctly diagnosed the issue as being covered by the warranty, and covered it with no complaints. Thanks to springfield VW for being easy to deal with! read more

STAY AWAY! After a week of communication, we reached an agreement to purchase a vehicle. I even offered to leave a down payment to secure the vehicle and was told it was not necessary. Then, the evening before my scheduled appointment, the salesman texted me to say the vehicle had been sold. This was extremely disappointing after a week of communication and an agreement to purchase the vehicle. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend doing business with another Volkswagen dealership rather than Volkswagen of Springfield. read more

Sold me a car 2 yrs ago for 19 k wouldnt even let me drive it. Now it's worth 6 k can't trade it in or anything STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Horrible service center!!!! They tell you they have a shuttle, but don't mention that it can only drop you off at home , NOT pick you up to come and get your car!!! On top of that I dropped off my car at 9:30 and told them I had an appointment at 3pm and the assured me it would be done by then. Guess where I was at 3:30? Still waiting for my car to be finished. WORST EXPERIENCE ever getting service done to my car! I wouldn't be here if it weren't for a recall!! Save yourself the hassle and go to another dealer for any VW recalls!!!!!!!! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did, frequent incompetence has made it impossible. I'll say this - the service staff is generally friendly (when they aren't openly complaining about clients and coworkers), and the sales staff is very friendly. 1st issue: I traded in a Nissan lease for a Jetta. No problem. A month later, they still hadn't turned in the lease, and Nissan started with threatening calls. I called and was assured they would take care of it. A month later, same deal, call from Nissan, call to VW promising it would be taken care of. Three months in, TOW warning from Nissan. I had to call the dealership and ride them over the course of multiple days to get it done. Mind you, my credit, which was pristine, took a 200 point dive due to "not paying my bill", I am still in the annoying process of fighting it and getting it restored, months later. 2nd issue: Now it is service time. My radio died, I went to get it fixed. Bill took a look, "no problem, I'll order it and bring it back in. I'll call you as soon as I know when it is coming in". A few days pass, no contact, so I call and Bill scrambles to figure it out. I am patient, no big deal. We finally get a date down, after waiting 3 hours (my appointment was at 9), Bill advises "the radio was kicked, the factory might not take it back". It was very difficult for me not to cross a line, but I kept most of my calm - this man was serious. I explained that though it did seem like the screen was separated, I definitely didn't judo kick or punch the screen, and it was fine the other day when he looked at it and in the same exact condition when I brought it in. I wanted to continue to explain how LCD screens work, but I was too annoyed to educate the fella. This was a new issue, it looked like they dropped the unit, or struggled to get it out to me (they were complaining on Monday about the slowness of the mechanics to finish jobs on time, I'd love to know if the se guy they were pressuring was the fella working on the radio). I explained that "trust me, you would know if I punched it", he shrugged and walked off. 25 minutes later, he returns with a $1,100 bill and advised "it wasn't covered". For a radio. Standard, this wasn't Prince's last guitar, autographed before he died - a regular car radio. I refused and told them to "put the old one back in". He obliged and said "no cost for that", to which I responded "for WHAT? Nothing? Thanks?" and left. Hopefully the corporate office is less terrible to deal with - I am done. That is enough incompetence for me - if I ever get out of this waiting room, this will be the last time I step foot in Volkswagen of Springfield. Even if you have to travel a bit farther (Brandywine, Philly, Delaware) - do it. It isn't worth the hassle. read more

Springfield Volkswagen - Car Dealers Near Me - Springfield, Pennsylvania

This is the worse location I've ever experienced. my son misplaced his car key and came to this location for a new key. They held his car for 2 months and still no key. Where the key is cut I was told its in Mexico and Mexico kept cutting his key wrong. makes no sense for this to happen over and over again making my son pay more money. We eventually got it towed to another VW and like magic now my son have a new key. The customer service was horrible and no help at all. strongly recommend not ever bringing anyone car here. read more

Would not recommend this dealership at all not even a week later after getting a car had problems and they will not make it right and fix it it's a problem that they probably knew already was there we shouldn't have to pay it thousands of dollars to have it towed to them they should come pick it up read more

My wife bought a car from here. $15k+ and Financed it for an additional 9k+. Making it about 25k all together. The car has a bubble in the sidewall tire, the brakes didn't last that long, (the pads were ok, but the rotors had to be replaced within a year), the motor wasn't tuned up either), one would expect this dealership to fix these things before thay could sell it. It's a STAY AWAY for me. I wouldn't even give it one star! 30 day warrantee 50/50 and a 1,000 miles, which means within that 30 days/ 1,00 miles we would have to pay half. What kind of warrantee is that? A man wouldn't put up with that. I feel that my wife got ripped off. So, I reached out to them to no avail. This car is NOT worth 25k! Guess what, you can get one for 1/5 of that price according to Kelley Bluebook. BUYER BEWARE! I told them the car is worth about $8k. I am so sure that they didn't lookout for my wife's car safety, they couldn't have. Listen women: take your husband ( if you have one, or take a man that can see right through the bullshit that dealers do!), they will take advantage of a woman. No perks, not even an oil change/ rotate tires/ top fluids... NOTHING!!! I can put one finger on this since I am in the middle! read more

PLEASE make sure when purchasing your vehicles from this dealership that you do all of your homework before hand. They will not honor any of your requests to cancel any added options until they feel the need to cancel. Also, don't decide to upgrade any features either. You will only get issued a credit even if the loan is not fully funded at the time of your request. You will also have to purchase the new upgraded features again at the new price. I requested for an added feature to be cancelled 2 days after purchasing two autos and it still has not been cancelled. A perfectly good deal turned bad. If I were any of you reading this review, try another dealership as the customer service here is not genuine. They work together they lie together. read more

The tone was set by "I have to approve a test drive with my manager," as soon as I walked in the door. I was brought in to go over what I was looking for, after telling the rep that I was willing to put $6,000+ down, but I needed to be certain that I actually wanted a Tiguan versus an Atlas given the size difference. While the sales rep was friendly and polite, the visit took probably the worst turn from a customer service stand point that I've ever encountered. I was told that the sales rep's manager has to come over and introduce himself after making a copy of my license. The manager comes over and introduces himself and asked exactly what I was looking for. After describing what I was looking for and ultimately brought me to their dealership, I was told for disrespectfully and condescendingly that unless I knew exactly what I wanted that I couldn't go on a test drive at that time. I was told I could come back some other time and that with the projected "two year chip shortage," until I knew what I wanted on the spot, I wasn't worth their time. This is the true vision of a used cars salesman- unless you're buying something today, get off my lot, type of experience. As a Vice President and senior manager myself, I know how sales and service are handled and Volkswagen of Springfield PA could not deliver a poorer quality of either if they tried. I have been dealing with Cherry Hill Volkswagen and it is a world of a difference with sales reps who care, treat customers with dignity, and go beyond just the "sale." After this experience, an hour drive past this dealership is more than worth it to avoid feeling like a dollar sign and a number. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP BY ALL MEANS. read more

Had a really good experience at this dealership!! Say was so nice, listened to my "must haves" and found a car that was perfect for me in my budget. Her and Barb made the process easy and enjoyable. I love my car! read more

Took a point away cause the service manager is rude and condescending. Beware. According to them they are very overworked and tired. They will ask you to find them workers instead of managing their service schedule themselves. Do yourself a favor, the free car wash isn't worth the bad attitude and month worth of wait time. read more

First time at this dealership. I got some basic maintenance, oil change, alignment and wiper blades. Easy to schedule, waited a little over an hour. I'm pleased, will use again. read more

Unless you know exactly what model and trim level you want before walking in, don't expect to be given any information or allowed to test drive a car. More over, unless you plan on buying a car that's currently on their lot you will get very rude and condescending service. I went here over an hour before they closed (not a single other customer there) and wanted information on the Tiguan but didn't know what trim I wanted or if they had what I wanted in the lot. The salesperson was friendly enough and took my information. They had a lot of Tiguans on the lot and the salesperson said we could test drive. She brought our information to the manger because 'he has to meet us before we did the test drive'. He came over and was extremely rude and condescending. This was more of an informational trip to make sure a Tiguan would work and we liked the way it drove, which we would only know from a rear drive. When it was clear to the manager that we were not buying tonight all of a sudden we were informed that we couldn't test drive until we 'narrowed down what we wanted'. I tried to explain that we wanted to drive the car to see if it's what we wanted and he said 'we work differently than other dealerships' and there was no way at our stage of looking that we could test drive a car. They left it at that and didn't even offer to let us look in one of the cars. We left and would never go back. It's definitely worth the drive to VW in Cherry Hill, much better service and they actually treat you with respect. Save yourself the hassle and do not shop here. read more

I just picked up my second VW GTI and the experience was more than expected. Alexus & The Finance Team was very patient with me and worked tirelessly to give the trade-in value for my car as well as getting me an interest rate that was much lower than my last car. Everyone was very professional, polite, & made me feel comfortable throughout my car buying process. read more

I am a little confused by the 2 comments that said they couldn't test drive unless they knew exactly what they were interested in. I went in just over a month ago on a whim. I knew I liked the Atlas but wasn't sure on the regular or Cross Sport and had no idea about trims. The salesperson took me out in both and gave me as much info he could being as he was new. I decided I like the cross sport better and said I would talk it over with my husband. That night the sales person followed up through text and was answering all our questions and sending photos of different models and colors for my hubs to check out. We fell in love with one and went back the next day for him to test drive. We decided to purchase that day and although it was rough, (I blame Mercury Retrograde) the finance officer went above and beyond to make things right. Overall it wasn't the worst experience and I did not experience any of the issues mentioned in the other reviews. read more

The service dept is by far the worst I've ever encountered. I have had 2 appointments there and neither have resulted in my car being fixed for what I went in for.. first time in they never ran a battery check and upsold me on maintenance that didn't fix the problem.. called and complained to the service manager.. came back appointment 2-realized they didn't check battery and realized it needed a new one.. gave me it free as it was clearly their mistake.. yet here I sit with my car still not running properly and was also emailed a long detailed explanation of why they did what they did.. essentially blaming me for their mistakes. I've never had to go 3x for the same issue and will never recommend them or return there! $400 later and problem still exists. Stay away from this dump! Sales manager condescending, rude and clearly doesn't know what he's doing! read more
