From the outside, this little dry cleaners seemed too small and I was afraid they would not do a good job. However, I really needed a local dry cleaner. They only way to find out if this will be my local go-to place, I had to try it out. I brought in a few blazers and one dress. The man receiving the clothes at the counter was very nice. He gave me my docket and said I could either pick it up in the afternoon or next day. I pick them up following day and all were in immaculate condition, as if brand new again. I was thrilled with the great service and quality cleaning they do, that I brought it many other items the next day. It's a great place that is clearly popular amongst other locals and I am delighted to have this little place as my local go-to dry cleaners.
They are very helpful, do a great job. I thoroughly recommend them for small sewing tasks as well.read more

But I've become one of those people. The pieces in my wardrobe with labels clearly stating "Dry Clean Only" has increased as steadily as my age and either it's some great marketing ploy or I'm becoming one fussy old lady. Thankfully in the new 'hood there's The Laundry Chute. I get the feeling it's family run and I'm always greeted with a smile and, "How can we help you today?". The prices are what I categorise as "1980s". Most recently a basic black dress that I've previously paid $25 to be cleaned was a crisp $10. And let me tell you: the quality of the dry cleaning is exceptional. I've even had them dry clean our quilts. Value and quality service right there, my friend.

This is a good place as far as laundromats go. There are 10 washing machines and 4 dryers. Washing machines cost $4 and dryers are $1 for 8 minutes. There is rarely any wait for machines. If you don't want to sit in the laundry, there are lots of cafes around or you can do your shopping at the Coles a block away while you are waiting.

Either way, I was fortunate enough to live just down the road from this particular Laundromat during a time in which I didn't have a washing machine. It costs $3 to wash a load and you have to pay in all dollar coins. Fortunately the corner store adjacent to the Laundromat will happily exchange coins for cash. I have an inclination that the people who own this corner store also own the Laundromat but this is in no way confirmed. Just something I thought about as I watched my wool cycle spin around and around. This Laundromat is open till 9 pm daily. I was living near a Laundromat that was open 24/7. I began to wonder who would be washing laundry at 3 in the morning? This is a curiosity I have not yet explored. The dryer runs on a fee for $1 per 10 minutes. Seems reasonable enough. Also the dryers are huge, I suspect you could even fit two loads into a single dryer. But this in turn may take it twice as long to dry and cost you twice as much. But for the adventurous laundry wenches out there I'd give this a whirl, just for a laugh. Laundromats aren't really exciting places but the important thing is you leave with clean, dry clothes. This was indeed achieved during every one of my trips here. P.s. they business wants to be called Indooroopilly Laundromat but it is located in Taringa. Don't ask.

This one means serious business, with numerous heavy duty washing machines and shiny dryers lined up on either side of the room. When I was there it wasn't exactly happening; I guess everyone had either already, very responsibly, completed their washing, or they all have washing machines in their homes. If some horrendous catastrophe occurred and I no longer had a working washer and dryer, I would complain a lot, then cart my washing to this place.
