I…read morewanted to get it cleaned to prep for this winter, and not fully understanding dry cleaning, I figured if I got the poncho dry cleaned (instead of throwing it in the machine myself), it'd still retain its lovely fluffiness. So I googled E Laundry. The website had this deal, three items for $25.95, so I was like - awesome! I'll throw in another couple of items to get fancypants drycleaned. I phoned up, told them I was a first-time customer, mentioned the three-piece deal, was super excited. I even got my items picked up by the valet service. Long story short, my card ended up getting charged almost three times as much as I was expecting, because the poncho didn't count as "standard dry cleaning" - in fact, they chucked it through the wash like I would have done anyway, and the dirt mark I was hoping would have been removed by professionals still remained. The website has a little asterisk next to "standard dry cleaning" and yet I've been through the site with a fine-tooth comb and can't find the fine print for that asterisk. I sent off a sadface email, got no reply for a week, sent another email, and finally engaged in some dialogue. I wasn't really happy at all with the response but they tried their best to stop me whinging by offering to clean the garment again, free of charge. Sure, that's really nice of them, but I couldn't notice a difference the second time around.

We don't always have time to do laundry and some times it can pile up, other times its something delicate like a suit that we would rather give to the pros to clean than risk ruining it. In my case it was time to take the suit in. I haven't heard about them before but it was the closest to my house and to be honest i did like the way the outside looked with the big light bulbs around the sign and the black and white exterior. The staff were helpful and friendly and and asked if i wanted anything special or if the suit needed altering which is not normally done by the dry cleaners. It was a pretty standard order of just dry cleaning the suit and it cost just over 20 dollars which i thought was not too bad. They also offered to deliver it when it was ready but i opted out because its walking distance from my house. As well as altering clothes they also do fixes and embroidery. Along with all this they clean pet products like pet beds and blankets too. I also quite like the little cafe that is attached to E Laundry and is a good place to wait if you are early picking up your clothes.

This is a good place as far as laundromats go. There are 10 washing machines and 4 dryers. Washing machines cost $4 and dryers are $1 for 8 minutes. There is rarely any wait for machines. If you don't want to sit in the laundry, there are lots of cafes around or you can do your shopping at the Coles a block away while you are waiting.

This one means serious business, with numerous heavy duty washing machines and shiny dryers lined up on either side of the room. When I was there it wasn't exactly happening; I guess everyone had either already, very responsibly, completed their washing, or they all have washing machines in their homes. If some horrendous catastrophe occurred and I no longer had a working washer and dryer, I would complain a lot, then cart my washing to this place.

The token dispenser is easy to operate and can accept bills and cards that could either be swiped or tapped. This does not accept coins. There is a minimum spend of $9 to the token dispenser so plan accordingly. Next to it is the soap dispenser that accepts both $2 dollar coins or 2 tokens. The soap box is also allowable for two loads. Be warned that it is not separated by packaging and the whole sachet can be easily dumped into one by mistake! There are 5 top loading washers to 7 front loading ones. There are also 4 drying tumblers altogether. The dryers can take a maximum of two normal washer loads. There are instructions on the walls to provide directive if needed. The washing cycle runs for 30 minutes and the dryer is dictated by how much tokens are inserted. Happy washing!

I saw you underwent renos yourself here at the venue. I was hoping for an improvement.... So what you don't have that all the others do.
