In honor of National Nurses Week, I hereby nominate Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield,…read moreMassachusetts and all other Shriner Hospitals for Children - I bestow coveted NURSING STAFF AT SHRINERS ROCKS award! On a personal note, my daughter is a Nurse at the Springfield Shriners. Since her young age of 4 she has wanted to be a Shriners Nurse. A friend of hers was a patient and she accompanied her friend and parent for a well visit and physical therapy. She was awe struck and with the continued influence of our family members in the Nursing field, our daughter made her dream come true in 2018. It's one not the smaller Shriner Facilities, but every one of them is staffed with kind and compassionate caring individuals. Many of whom work part-time due to budgetary constraints being a non-profit, so these professionals need to supplement their incomes by working per-diem at other Healthcare facilities. It's takes a special person to juggle and remain grounded caretakers. Our daughter has shared some very heart warming stories about the patients and their families situation. Each being unique from the other. I wish I could go into further detail, but out of respect of each patient I can't. Please trust me when I say, the Shriners organization in Springfield, Massachusetts works miracles, as does all of their other Hospitals. Happy NATIONAL NURSES WEEK Shriners and all others!

She was always Professional and dedicated to her work. She is highly motivated to giving excellent care. She is sincere and plans to expand her nursing education. I broke my leg in January and had to leave the house for weeks. she took over and worked with the healthcare agencies to create a schedule for the coverage of my husbands needs, made sure that food and meals were covered, did the banking and paid the other support help and kept me informed while I was in the hospital and rehab. She monitored my husbands sacral patch recommended a better wound care cream for his bed sores and maintained a stock medical supply. Made sure that he got his meds, kept him shaved and clean. Provided social interaction and even brought in takeout food for shared dinning. She has an excellent rapport with clients and patients. Kept my husband mentally stimulated with stories and humor. She bonded with my husband and made him feel that she was there for him and dedicated to his wellbeing over anything else. Her goal in life is to provide the best health care a patient can possibly receive. Her dream is to open her own care facility and provide care that would exceed the existing care facilities that exist now. I could not have had a better care person for my husband. I miss having her service and she worked so hard that I thought she would burn herself out. She is devoted to being a health care angel. Marti outshined all of the care givers that I had from several different agencies. She is professional, sincere, dedicated, caring, a honest person with integrity.
