From the moment I walked in his office, he and his staff explained what was happening from X-rays to medications. Dr Peteros explained everything so I could understand my options and helped me with everything. He was amazing and his nurse was also amazing! his follow up care made me feel like I was his only patient. Because of extraneous circumstances, I had to go back to his office several more times. He was overly cautious, but made sure that my foot was perfect before I was finished with him. I'm able to walk now and have no pain whatsoever. Not only do I highly recommend Dr. PeterosI but 3 of my friends are presently using him. You will be in very good hands.

Dr. Schwawrtz examined my feet, explained the situation, the cause, and how we can remedy the problem. She answered all my questions and put my mind at ease about being able to avoid future foot problems. There was ample parking available, the office was spotless, and the staff helpful and friendly.

She and her team were amazing! Considering the trauma to my toe and the lack of treatment at the other facilities, she educated me more in 5 minutes about what happened and what needed to be done than I had heard from the multitude of medical professionals I had previously seen combined. I'm not going to lie, when she told me the bone needed to be put back in place, I was very nervous. I was afraid the laceration caused by the initial fracture would reopen and my toe would hurt more than when I broke it. Much to my surprise and delight, Dr. O'Malley with the help of her associate Dr. Schwartz were able to re-align my toe with virtually no pain at all, while making sure I was calm and thoroughly secure with the procedure. I would recommend even the most skittish patient see East Point Foot and Ankle for any ailment requiring podiatry.

First of all, Podiatrist is spelled wrong. That's my first beef, haha…read more It's hard finding a podiatrist that actually knows what they're doing. At least in the Ludlow/Springfield area...because I've been to two and they were both ducks. quack quack. I went in feeling a little skeptical, but there wasn't much of a variety of local foot doctors. Walking in there, the receptionist gave me a dirty look...I don't know, maybe that's just the way her face is. haha, but I said I had an appt and she said the doctor would be out shortly...she seemed very nonchalant. I think it's because I look young, and therefore am clueless. I know this is no one's fault, but the doctor has weird eyes. the whole time he was talking to me, I could sense he was looking at my face, but his eyes were staring at my chest. It makes me feel awkward when people talk to me and don't give me eye contact. I know he probably can't help it but if you're going to deal with people everyday, get corrective eye surgery or something. That might be mean, but isn't a sign that doubtfulness or lying can be correlated with lack of eye contact? Plus, every time I would ask him a question, he seemed very unsure of what he was talking about. He couldn't give me a definite answer. It was more like, "Will you live with an infected toenail? Who's to say?" Doctors are people you should trust...and if they know as much as you, it's like having your friend take a look at your body and hack away. Probably the only thing I liked about the first doctor I went to was that they put a curtain in front of me so I couldn't see the grossness of my toe. This doctor put it all in front of me...but I didn't look. I'd rather not see my toe bleeding, thank you. And he told me I could go to work the next day, when the first doctor told me to stay off my foot for a few days. And my toe isn't completely healed. He seemed surprised that it was getting worse (ahem, you just charged me like 100 dollars to just look at my toe and not do anything to it). There's no pain, but it doesn't look healthy like the other toe. He even made me get bloodwork done but it came back as not infected. Then a week later, he has to operate on it because it got infected? They couldn't tell me why you get an ingrown toenail or ways to prevent it, but I could find out all that information from a pamphlet waiting in the office? He got a lot of plaques and diplomas from colleges which made me feel secure about him, but when I finally had the experience, I was not impressed. A diploma is just a piece of paper saying you graduated, but it doesn't really determine how good you are at what you do. I'm sorry but if you're in Ludlow with foot problems, I'd suggest looking somewhere else. :/

I work in the medical field so I used to how offices treat you like another number; in and out. Hampden Podiatry is completely different. Dr. Vomero was pleasant, talkative and knowledgable. He explained in detail what I should expect and what other alternatives were available. I decided on surgery. I had my right foot done first (in march) and am now recovering from my left. My recoveries have been textbook. I should also add that Dr. Vomero calls you at home to check on you and sits with you before and after the procedure. He gets to know you personally and genuinely cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone in need of foot care.
