I have Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance, so it should have been zero or $30 copay. I looked up my EOB and saw there was an error code for the submitted charges. Crozer Health never provided the name of the physician, etc. The error code said the information was requested by BCBS, but Crozer failed to provide it, so the claim was denied. I called Crozer Health's phone number on the bill and explained they just needed to provide the information. The rep, "John," with a heavy foreign accent, told me that they were not going to do that and that I was responsible. He was so rude and condescending. I thought he was joking, so I asked to speak to his supervisor. He said I had to provide my phone number, and the supervisor would call me back within 24 hours. How can you work for a health provider's billing department and not understand that the insurance companies require certain information and if you fail to provide it you can't just say "oh well, we'll just tell the patient they need to pay the entire fee"?! It's almost criminal. I immediately called Blue Cross and they looked up the info and said Crozer only had to supply the missing info and the charges were not even billable to me (due to Crozer's error.) She put me on hold and called Crozer, after about 20 minutes, she came back to me and stated she was waiting to speak to a supervisor. After a few more minutes she came back on the line and said she was able to have the supervisor understand, and they now will provide the info and BCBS will pay once the info is received and that I will still receive a call from the supervisor. Well, of course, I was never called back by the supervisor and am concerned they will not handle this correctly. Crozer Health billing department employees need to either be retrained or fired.

I have been trying to get some answers to some very simple questions about my husbandfor over a week, and all I get at the most is the run around! Fortunately, no harm has come to my husband, but the potential is there! The only ones who seem to care are the nurses, and I can't say that about all nurses, but their medical/psychiatric physicians have missed so many obvious things that it would be funny if it weren't so scary and serious! From my experience, I would never send a cock roach there, let alone another loved one!!!

My friend recommended this place after bringing her child here, so I knew I could schedule my visit online before going (their site also says if there's a wait). I completed the first time patient paperwork in the waiting room. The staff was really friendly and took care of us quickly. They sent the script we needed to the pharmacy and I was able to pick up immediately after. They do what's called a shnozzle, which is like a saline rinse or neti pot situation to relieve congestion, and they give you the kit to take home with instructions. I just had to pay a co-pay a month later so everything went smoothly. Only complaint is that for a single visit I received 15 emails before/after the visit: confirming my appointment, signing up for their app and then notifications after the visit, reminders to share feedback. A bit aggressive, but my friend who has gone multiple times said she doesn't get all those emails so maybe it's because it was my first time. Not bad enough to dock any stars or deter me from coming here again if I need to, just a little annoying with their automations.

I was initially very happy that I was able to get both of my children seen so quickly at this…read morelocation. Unfortunately, the experience that followed left me with several serious concerns regarding the quality and thoroughness of their care. The NP did not perform, what I would consider a thorough examination on either child and diagnoses were missed in both of them. She briefly looked into each child's mouth quickly and that was the extent of the exam. I'm not sure whether the next issue falls on the provider or Labcorp, but the throat culture that was sent out was also not a "full" culture. Labcorp performed their version of a rapid test instead. If outside facilities are being used for testing, I feel there needs to be better guidance and follow-through regarding exactly what testing is being ordered and performed. More concerning, the medications prescribed for both of my children were written at the incorrect dosages for their weight. Thankfully, their primary care pediatrician's office was extremely helpful in getting this addressed. The person answering the phone was incredibly kind and understanding, despite the number of times I had to call trying to get answers and corrections. By the following day, both children were worse, so I ended up taking them to their primary care pediatrician anyway. Their pediatrician explained that had a more thorough examination been performed at urgent care, there were additional issues that would have been identified. One of my children needed their prescription changed because there were multiple things going on, and the medication originally prescribed would not have adequately treated them. I also question why a clinic that opens at 8:00 a.m. does not have its providers arriving until after 8:00. There is very little patient work-up being completed beforehand beyond obtaining a weight and placing the patient in a room, so patients are essentially waiting for the provider to arrive before care can actually begin or phone messages/follow-up's answered. I understand that urgent care is not intended to replace a child's primary care physician, and I certainly do not expect perfection. However, I do expect a basic level of thoroughness, appropriate testing, and accurate medication dosing--particularly in a pediatric urgent care setting. What makes this especially concerning to me is that I work in quality assurance for a hospital. I understand that mistakes can happen and that there are multiple points in a healthcare process where breakdowns can occur. But when you have missed diagnoses, inadequate or unclear testing, and incorrect medication dosages for two pediatric patients during the same visit, that goes beyond a single minor oversight. It raises legitimate concerns about the quality and safety of care being provided. I was excited to find a pediatric urgent care where I could get my children seen quickly and before pediatric office opens but unfortunately, after this experience, I would not feel comfortable relying on this location (or any PM Pediatric location) for their care again.

I honestly think saying you went to a place like a hospital it should be private or privileged info. But I admit I had to go here due to an old injury. I went in and there were many seats (spaced out for ppl who are afraid of being too close to one another) and sat down near the spot where you kind of "check-in"... There is a place where you instantly put all of your info and after you answer the other important questions, you get to sit and wait. I'd say about every 5 minutes a person gets called to be evaluated before they see a doctor. This seems like not a very involved place until you go from the desk to see a person who will help you. I had a kind person yesterday where it turned out they couldn't help me but let me know of a hospital that had the x-ray type scanning that I needed. I felt they were very kind to me. I will not forget that! If you think going to an e. r. is the best place to go then that might work. If you know somebody that knows what you need is an office or place like this then go here! Patient First makes you their priority. They have compassion and care and are willing to help. For regular medical problems go to Patient First!

My husband started over a week ago. I started 4 days previous. Concerned about lettuce born pathogens, C diff in elderly, we finally went to Urgent Care. Instead of stool samples- they run up the Medicare bill with blood, urine.. ok.. A double masked rather large woman comes in. Hard to hear her thru the masks. Started telling my husband he needs CT for diverticulitis. He declines. I said we have the same symptoms. She tells me to be quiet. Says antibiotics could kill him. He says he will die. He takes antibiotics all the time. She finally gives him Flagyl. He signs against medical advice for CT & antibiotic. My turn. She says. She is not giving me anything. She doesn't like me. Because, behind the curtain, she must have heard me say, "Where the hell did she go to school?" She says, I am having heart problems. Need to go to ER for Echo right away. Need EKG. I say, no shortness of breath, can go up & down steps without problems, no symptoms? I decline both & sign her papers. It was a total waste of time for me. This woman is why Medicare is going bankrupt!

When they got to the hospital, the persons that work at Springfield Ambulance put the dentures on the emergency room bed (unaware to my sister) instead of giving them to my sister, a nurse or a table in the room. The dentures went missing. When we realized later the dentures were missing, we called the Springfield ambulance and they admitted they accidentally left them on the bed. On 11/19, I sent an email complaint to President, VP, Secretary and Finance personnel explaining situation and asking them to accept financial responsibility for replacement dentures. By 11/21, no response so another email was sent asking them to at least acknowledge that they received my first email. They replied on 11/22 simply stating that they received my e-mail and that they were looking into the incident. By 11/24, no response so another follow-up e-mail was sent to the President (Kelly Sweeney) asking when I could expect an answer to my situation. By 11/26, no response so once again ANOTHER e-mail was sent explaining that there needed to be a sense of urgency on their part in order to aid in my mother's recovery process (teeth are needed to chew food!). In that e-mail I mentioned that I would be posting unfavorable blogs and would be wearing a sandwich board protesting outside their facility. On 11/27, I received a response stating "Please forward the bill to my attention at 201 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064." They did not give any explanation but what is more sickening is that they did not even offer an apology. I sent another email to Kelly prodding for an apology and was told to send a bill and to stop sending harassing emails to her. In my opinion this company lacks a general care for their patients. Also I would expect members in their organization at those higher levels would be a little more responsive and at least offer an apology. A complete disgrace. If you have no care for your patients, then get out of the business of "caring for patients".
