I am a senior that likes working out during the morning. I feel very limited class options for seniors. The class called "dance" is nothing but hip hop jerking moves, which in my opinion is annoying. The Zumba class is again all kinds of quick movements with no consistency. It's never the same instructor and they all like make up playlist as they go through the class. I would like to see low impact STEP classes or just low impact aerobics with some repetition movements, so I'm not trying to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing with my arms and legs and then it suddenly changes. The all women's workout room is a joke. The equipment looks to be from the 90's. How degrading to us!!

Each machine has a QR code to enter any issue or repair needed. The place looks a lot cleaner and better maintained. Lots of work ahead because it was really bad before. The hot tub in Maryville is being remodeled. It was really skanky looking before so maybe I can use it going forward. I am hoping they'll do the sauna next. Hoping they'll keep it up! This is the primary location where my family works out, takes fitness classes, and swims/does…read moreswimming lessons. We love that there is both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The family membership is affordable and worth it if you have young children who can utilize the child watch while adults exercise. There is a great variety of group fitness classes to meet differing interests and fitness levels. We really enjoy the swimming lessons as well. We have done private, semi-private and group and they really helped our kids with water skills and confidence. Lessons fill up quickly, so start checking mid-month for the next round of lessons to spring up on the website. This location isn't the most modern or well-kept. There seem to be lots of issues when it rains, and the layout is very strange. The small-ish workout/weights space is accessed by first going downstairs and then back up another set of stairs in the back of the building. There is also a musty/moldy smell that kicks up our allergies at times.

Parking continues to be a challenge for visitors. The closest areas are reserved for faculty and students. There is some designated off street parking, read the signs closely. Recommendation is drop off by family or friend. Also Uber/Lyft services. The facility itself continues to be well maintained and is used as the primary pool and diving well for The University of Tennessee swim team. The exterior windows and seals needed a good cleaning was noticed. The TYR Pro Swim a USA Swimming event held January 2020 went off without a hitch. The local club host did a fantastic job. Great city and was excited to return to Knoxville and Allen Jones.
