I am getting married and opted to take my wedding dress here to be altered instead of the store where I purchased it. When I called, I learned that I could just stop in without an appointment. It turns out, the store purchased the wrong size and I didn't notice it. When I tried it on I was horrified but Adam told me he could make it work and he did. Bring the shoes you want to wear with whatever you're having altered. Adam was very polite, professional, and good at his trade. He only accepts cash or check but you pay when you pick up so you will have an idea of what it will cost prior. read more

I agree with the other reviewers that this shop is AMAZING! I had a skirt that I loved from J.Crew... picture it: Cute pleats in front, little bow belt at the waist, scrunchie back...all I knew about it was that it was a size medium. Well. I brought in different, floral fabric and asked Adam to just copy the J.Crew skirt with the new fabric I brought in. He DID IT PERFECTLY! No pattern. No guidance. Just perfection. It fits GREAT and is SO CUTE. JUST like the J.Crew skirt (and not a simple skirt by any means!) He just replicated it. PERFECTLY. the sewing is IMMACULATE. He had it finished in, like, three days! No joke. Professional. Clean. Pressed. PERFECTION in a skirt. (Let me upload some pictures for ya'll). And this is not the first job he has done for me! He is super accomadating. I was having trouble getting my new curtains hemmed (and I didn't like the unmatched pattern). My new curtains arrived and I took them to the Springboro Taylor. Adam is the man! I've taken challenging alteration jobs (ski jackets and pants) with zipped leg cuffs, mid-leg seams, broken zippers etc. and he's found a solution every time. Adam will go to whatever lengths necessary to make sure the job's done right. Thanks Adam! read more

Adam was very accommodating, he did walk-in appointments and by the 3rd one he knew who I was and what I was picking up. I had a bridesmaid dress hemmed which came out a bit long (like an inch or two) and he offered to fix it shortly before the wedding, I declined. I also brought in my wedding dress to get hemmed and bustled and he did a great job on that too. The hem was the perfect length and so was the bustle. Payment menthols are clearly posted on the desk when you walk in, he told me the price before taxes, I guess that's the only drawback but it's 7% if anyone needs it. 10/10 would go again for my tailoring needs. I have been going to this shop for years. All the ladies who work here are so talented. They have altered my clothes and all my kids clothes from little up. They just altered my son's tux for senior prom. Some of our requests have been complicated but the ladies handle everything with patience and good humor. Prices are reasonable and the work is always returned in a timely manner. We would not go anywhere else. read more

Unfortunately our experience with Springboro sewing shop was not a good one. When I first spoke with them on the phone about doing my daughter's wedding dress they were very accommodating I made an appointment for 2 weeks to follow and was very excited only to arrive and find out they knew nothing of our arrival the girl that was supposed to do our dress was not there there had been a sickness in the family for which I understand. We were treated it seems like from the get go like we shouldn't have been there and they were only doing us a big favor by doing our dress it got worse as the weeks went on and final fitting was supposed to have been yesterday and pick up only to arrive and find out the dress was not done and they were not expecting us again. They assured us we could come back today and pick up the dress when I called this morning they told me the dress was finished we rushed right up there only to find out that the price they had originally given us was more, they expect cash your check I didn't have it was not informed when I spoke with them on the phone and after all of our were trouble you would think they would have discounted it. I would not recommend this sewing shop especially for anything very important needed on a specific date! read more
