Dobbies is fantastic!…read more dobbies hasnt been open all that long really, but its still lovely all the same. some fantastic stuff in there its great. Fabulous toys for the kids, my little girl was in her element running around looking at all the things. she even decided upon one special toy we should get for santa and some lovely story books for bed time too. xmas is the best time to visit the store. hundreds upon hundreds of lights and trees, singing reindeer and more plus a lovely visit to see santa clause too, which always goes down well and is well worth the money too. The garden section on the shop was pretty small last time we vistied but i had just opened then so i should hope its better now but they had some really nice stuff in and we were very inpressed with the pond fish and the tropical/cold water fish too. the cafe in the center is great some lovely drinks and meals for great prices too and lots of other lovely shops within the complex too :D really nice place and worth a visit if your in the area!

Not sure what they do the rest of the year but this is the simplest, most organised christmas tree shopping I have ever done and I was well pleased with the product and the experience. Job done !

The display case had a selecton of cold food like quiches as well as a tempting array of homemade cakes. It definitely filled a spot though I would have liked a little more crackling. We shared an exemplary carrot cake for dessert After lunch, the helpful garden centre staff aided the girlfriend's mum in selecting some plants A nice spot for a spot of luncheon
Chapmans Nurseries is a garden centre and Tea Rooms just outside the centre of Rosliston, opposite…read morethe Forestry Centre. Chapmans is the best garden centre in the local area; there is a good variety of plants, shrubs and trees, which are reasonably priced and very healthy. The tree section in particular has a wide variety of plants, more impressive than most bigger garden centres. The members of staff are cheerful and helpful, and genuinely understand about the plants they are selling, which is a novelty for a garden centre! It also sells mainly plants and plant related products, rather than the myriad of 'tat' that most garden centres sell. The Topiary Tea Rooms is set in a small wooden building, but has a beautiful outlook onto a sun-soaked patio where wild birds feed very relaxing. They only serve drinks and cakes, but I would definitely recommend the cheese scones. As the weather steadily improves, I would heartily recommend Chapmans as a place to go to rejuvenate your garden.

If ever their is a problem with any plants there is never an issue with exchange, which I never had. Kevin is top guy, as is all the staff and their knowledge of all plants is so very helpful. What can I add " Well done staff and management at Chapmans " You won't be disappointed.

After a little confusion, caused by me, i have to add, as im blind and use a programme called synaptic specifically designed for folks like myself, but alas it doesnt always recognise my voice, especially if i have a sore throat, like at the moment, it was eventually established that I hadn't received my order. Mill Garden have agreed to send it again and i have promised to return the 1st order should it arrive....phhewwww! I had also enquired about live fish and aquarium plants again another pleasant prompt reply was received ( within an hour) They have shown and displayed great compassion and professional care toward myself and im 100% certain that they display the same care to all of there customers. Id personally like to thank them for there patience and TOP CLASS CARE that they have bestowed upon me especially as a blind disabled and terminally ill customer. I receive great comfort from my koi carp even though i cant see them, i sure can hear them and the sound of the aquarium waterfall, its so soothing especially if im having a bad day my pain appears to lessen somehow and instead of feeling a right old "Grump" i find myself smiling instead of grimacing! A huge thankyou to all at The Mill Garden and Pet Centre. I will without a doubt be placing further orders for a couple of more aquarium plants and some algae eaters eg loaches and skerrys like i now have, but sadly i lost 4 of mine after a friends tiny terror decided to pour a bottle of vinegar into my tank his mum was dog sitting for me whilst i was in hoslital following more surgery. I have no doubts zero, zilch, none, but to recommend them to all you lovely folks out there for all of your future pet supplies and needs. Kind regards Karen Jones
