Soaking away the Vegas Heat this summer. 2023

One of the nicest parks around Vegas, located in Southwest. They have a pretty big area you can walk around, Exercise, a dog park, bike, has a couple playgrouds and a little water park. This park is pretty close to us and never dissapoints.

This park is pretty big, with lots of play options for the kiddos. Plenty of swings, slides, little jungle gym area and plenty of picnic tables. They have multiple dog parks too for anyone with furrbabies.

*Dog park area review only* We've been slowly making our rounds trying out dog parks with our new pup. So far this ones my favorite. The off leash areas were nice and big and the grass was well kept. Water fountain/faucet inside the run, which was helpful on the hot days. Lots of friendly dogs and their owners. A couple benches are available to take a load off while your fuzzy one frolics. Separate areas designated for large and small dogs, but we noticed not everyone goes by the rules, which is fine by us, our pup likes all dogs. As with most parks not all the poop is picked up and some trash is left behind, even though there are plenty of "doggy bags" and trash cans. But it is actually really clean. We haven't gotten to explore the rest of the park but it looks large with lots of amenities.

    Happy puppies :)

This is such a cute nice and clean park! There are three sections: xl dog, large dog, and small dogs. Everyone is really friendly. Lots of trashcans, doggie bags for those who forget, and watering fountains for humans and dogs. All the people were really friendly. The only downside is, I wish there were more benches inside the grass part so I could sit under the shade while my puppy played! Tip: Entrance is on flamingo rd! If you try entering on the other side, it's a school where no pets are allowed.

(Review for the Dog Park Area) Came here a few times during my most recent trip to Vegas (this past week) with my 3 dogs. The dog park has 2 sides (standard for most dog parks in which there is one for dogs weighing more than 35 pounds and one for smaller dogs 35 pounds and lighter) and each side is grassy. There are also dog bag dispensers on both sides. There are some lights here so you could come here at night. But when I came at night one evening, it was still pretty dark and there was only 2 other dogs there (well it is also pretty cold out right now so I that would make sense why there is the lack of dogs and their owners as well). So I probably would not come back to this dog park after 5 pm when it starts to get dark. Anyways, there are no real water fountains inside the gated portion of the dog park to drink water, so make sure you bring water and a bowl for your pups to keep they hydrated. There is one other thing to note that there is quite a bit of dry grass currently so whenever your dogs sit down or roll in the grass, they will most likely be covered in dry grass when they get up. Also, people here seem pretty good after picking up their dogs. Overall, it's a nice little dog park that is pretty clean. There is plenty of parking and easy to get to.

They also have a fitness area as well as a jogging path that I've had the pleasure of using to burn off those pesky calories. Lastly, they have one gazebo area as well as a frequently visited ice cream truck. Hence the reason to burn off those calories, lol.

The park features a large green space, some charcoal grills and tables, a playground, basket ball court, and some exercise equipment. You can walk the trail behind the park, which connects to different parks- the closest being Majestic Bluff Park, I believe. Just a note that this park is by a loud car wash and a busy street, so just be mindful of that when visiting.

It makes a big difference when you have little ones or wanderers and want a bit more peace of mind. There are options for both bucket swings and regular swings, so it works well for different ages. The splash pad area is pretty spacious and gives kids plenty of room to run around, although it's not enclosed. There are quite a few trees around the park but they aren't really positioned in a way that provides much shade where you'd actually want to sit/can sit comfortably. The women's bathroom had multiple stalls, which was nice, but there was no changing table or hand soap in the bathroom. The bathrooms just gave a very worn look/feel to it though. Also not a big fan that they were a bit far from the playground and right in front of the parking lot. It gave me a bad feeling. I also saw there's a disc golf course here, if anyone is wondering (pics provided). The biggest issue for me was the amount of trash scattered around. There was everything from random litter to cigarette butts in common areas, which took away from the overall experience. With better maintenance, I feel like this park can be a favorite in the future.

When the breeze moves through, petals drift down slowly, almost like a gentle snowfall. It's intensely beautiful, and because the bloom is so brief, and arrived early this year, it's worth visiting now before it disappears. Notes: although a sign lists the hours as dawn to 10:30pm, the park feels safe. I haven't seen any homeless individuals here, likely thanks to the security guard who patrols in a golf cart. The amenities are extensive: lighted basketball and tennis courts, sand volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoe, shuffleboard, a large playground, BBQ grills, and a community center offering classes and programs. There's also restrooms, water stations, and plenty of parking. My dog has officially declared this his new favorite park. He loves seeing all his friends, each greeting the other with sniffs, and catching up on everything they've missed since yesterday, lol!

It's just a pet peeve of mine; people are like that, lazy, inside of our community too. I have dog waste bags attached to our leash. I also have wet wipes attached to the leash too. There are large waste bins inside and outside of the Facility- so there is no excuse. There were a few tables and a bench for visitors. Before I took her in, we already had a walk beforehand, so I wanted to really get a bit tired. I met some nice dog-owners yesterday. I took my senior dog here, and she didn't know what to make of it. We hardly take her on car rides because she used to be really noisy, like shrieking loudly noisy, but in her senior years, she's mellowed out. I took her off the leash, and at first, she was close to me, as I was walking, but then she just kind of sniffed the perimeter of the chain link fence. Of course, she stepped right into the puddle of water. But then some dogs were coming up to her, sniffing her private area, and she was doing the same, which was fine. In her earlier years, she would've caused a fight. But like I said, she is mellowing out.

The grass is always green, trimmed, and taken care of, which makes such a difference whether you're just walking through or hanging out for a while. The park itself is spotless, and you can tell upkeep is a priority. My dogs love it here, they love to lay in the grass and play. They have a splash pad/water play area, which is perfect when it's hot (aka most of the year in Vegas ). There are also tennis courts, and open areas so it works for kids, adults, families, and anyone trying to get some movement in. The walking trail is another big plus, smooth, clean, and really nice for morning or evening walks. It feels safe, peaceful, and well cared for, not run-down or neglected like some parks can be. This park checks all the boxes new, clean, well maintained, great amenities, and super convenient if you live nearby. I'm also a fan of the central grass area in the developed corner of the park. Unfortunately, the edge of the grass is currently littered with poop from small dogs. What is the solution? Maybe there needs to be more conspicuous signage and waste bag dispensers. Maybe a park custodian can be employed to clean up the dog poop on a daily basis. In any case, the underlying problem is the park being overrun by dog owners, which includes the irresponsible ones who don't clean up after their dogs. Especially, the small dogs, which are less conspicuous when they poop. The grass provides enough anonymity for their irresponsible owners to look the other way. I have emailed this concern to Clark County Parks & Recreation.
