All very kind, and make delicious coffee that has gotten me through when I needed extra energy! The atmosphere can be busy during the morning or lunch hours. It can be especially busy if there's filming taking place in the neighborhood which happens often during the warmer seasons. The prices are better than other deli's in the neighborhood which reflect the area. This deli is a perfect choice if you are visiting the area, or going to one of the tv studio's. read more

This was actually the cafe where a very famous musician got his start... and it's duly named after him: Bruce Springstreets. I had a really bad experience at this deli in the middle of the night when a guy who was on duty for sandwich making was stuffing his face with something and getting totally disgusting, i.e. having it dripping all over his hands and face and gross unkempt beard and shirt, and he asked me angrily what I wanted (I was obvi interrupting his dinner), and instead of being grossed out (openly grossed out) I asked him to tell me what some of the most popular sandwiches on the menu were, and he bellowed "NOTHING." So I said what was his personal favourite and he said, or really, yelled, "I wouldn't eat anything we served here." Either he just didn't want to make a sandwich, or that's one of the most scathing criticisms from an on-duty employee that I've ever heard. The blender was filthy with what looked like peanut butter, soap and some other type of scum as he was throwing my ingredients in for the smoothie. Never going back. I used to work on Thompson Street and these are the same guys who own Thompson's Finest Deli. This deli is great, super clean and the food is amazing. Pricing is great for the area and it's a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch during your workday. They also have a juice bar which is much cheaper than Juice Press. All the staff is nice and super friendly! They also don't charge for extras like honey mustard, etc. which most places in the area charge for. read more

Went with the Delightful Panini which was a pretty big sandwich, so I ended up sharing it, and an artichoke salad. REALLY loved the artichoke salad more! I don't usually go out of my way to write reviews but I've been ordering from here for a bit now and I used to order from them a few years back when I worked nearby as well. I used to have some issues with them in the past but recently relied on them because they're the only open deli nearby when I work. This is the 4th or 5th time in a row where they mess up my order. Multiple times I order an iced coffee and they send me a hot one (they are completely different options on the menu). I've also ordered iced coffee with notes for creamer because they don't have the option written (but they have it in store) and the only time they have ever gotten it right, was when I called them first to tell them to look at the notes. This is if they even pick up my phone call. Things happen and people over look things but when my order is messed up pretty much every time I order, it's extremely ridiculous and careless. I wouldn't have written this if they just picked up my phone call after receiving my order this morning, but they didn't. read more

Awesome little bodega. Just a couple blocks down from my hotel. As a tourist, dining out in NYC can be pricy. I don't mind spending a lot for dinner, but I'm not into spending $50-60+ on breakfast for two. This deli was recommended to me as a great place to get a sandwich. That recommendation was right on the money. On the corner of Spring St. & Greenwich St., you might miss it if you're not looking carefully for it. The place is large, clean with a nice assortment of fresh food. After being cheerfully greeted, I took a look at their large menu. I settled on turkey on a hero. After being asked what I want on the sandwich, I stayed and watched it being prepared. I received a very healthy amount of turkey and all the other goodies I asked for. The hero was cut in half and placed in a to-go tray. The counter guy then placed a decent amount of chips in the tray. I went to pay for it and was told to select a bottle of water or 12 oz. can of soda. All that for just 8 bucks. Not bad at all, especially for Manhattan. The sandwich was terrific. Every ingredient was fresh tasting and delicious. I had lettuce and mayo falling out of the hero as I was eating it. This thing really filled me up. I will now be the one recommending the place and returning whenever I find myself around. Definitely a top deli experience in NYC. Go there and enjoy. read more

Let me say that I had expectations. I'm from California and we always hear how there is no Deli in California that is like a N.Y. deli. In this case I call BS. I could have gotten a Pastrami sandwich, fresh made in a Panini from any deli I have been in California. Not even a full Pastrami; a combo roast beef and Pastrami with provolone; I saw a Reuben on the menu, but no Pastrami. Not bad, not great. Stale chips with the sandwich and an organic kombucha was $14.00; with that, I'm giving it a 2. I will say that the service was immediate and polite, and they seemed to tolerate my need for Pastrami. Nice little deli i just discovered in the neighborhood. There is another deli in the area that charges absurd prices for simple groceries. The wraps and sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced. Usually incudes some chips on the side and/or a bottle or water or can of soda. The staff is very polite and quick to get your order together. I am usually in and out in a couple of minutes. This is my new go-to spot! read more

I wanted to order late night food at 2am when this place barely gets business and they told me "they're not delivering today". Why? Because it's 7 degrees out? So what when I was not only gonna order $12 worth of food but give their delivery guy a $20 and tell him to keep the change for an $8 tip because that's what I/you/we all should do when it's that cold out and the order is $12. This is what I get when I want to try a new place which is an utterly nothing special at all / generic 24 hour deli. Now I will never try them again especially when my go to 24 hour delivery spot for more than a decade I called right after this place delivered to me without hesitation cuz they're not wimps like this place which isn't even delivering the food, the delivery guy is and he probably would've loved the easy $8 cash off the books tip since I am on the same street as this place further down the road. read more
