Wonderful person Dr Allan and he helped my knee pain tremendously. I was visiting from Seattle and could barely walk when I saw walk ins welcome. I saw all the great reviews so I rang the bell! Great guy! read more

This review is long overdue. I'm came to NYC for Thanksgiving vacation and I tripped on the uneven sidewalk and thought I dislocated my shoulder. By luck, I contacted Dr Allan and he was able to take me in immediately. He told me I sprained it and he did some adjustments and apply sports tape. With some over the counter painkillers and ice, I was able to enjoy the vacation to the end. Highly recommend. Thanks. read more

Before going to Allan for my 16-year-old son. I took him to two Sports Doctors, two orthopedic Dr, Xrays, Sonic Scans and 10 physical therapy sessions. My son felt 100% better, and with a few more sessions was able to cure the problem You cant go wrong with Dr Allan, suggest to see him first before you go to regular Dotors He is incredible read more

Alan is what I call a Wizard. He is a nice and professional chiropractor who will read your spine like a book. You don't need to tell him where your pain is, he has an x-ray in his eyes. I recommend him to anyone who has recurring back problems. A true X-man! read more

Allan is the real mvp of my back care program. Out the gate he took the time to demystify my back problems and illuminated so much with thorough diagnosis. My back problems were so bad from over a decade of intense mural work and bad alignment and I thought for sure I was going to live my life in Frida Kahlo pain. He gave me hope when I though it would never change. I had a scary vertigo a few months ago and came to him instead of going to a hospital and he definitely saved me thousands of dollars with direct diagnosis and treatment. He also has great taste in art. Excellent caregiver. Super easy to talk to. read more

Dr. Allen Sicignano is my 5th chiropractor since 1985, and he is the best I have been to. I took a chance and just walked into his office in 1999 when I was at lunch, because I was not happy with the one, I was seeing. He couldn't manipulate my neck to give me any relief. After 19 years, Dr. A has helped me with back adjustments due to scoliosis, neck manipulations due to a rear end auto accident, a broken ankle (requiring 8 screws & a plate, then removal of plate and screws a year later), and throwing my back out shoveling snow. He was amazing as he educated me with his ankle manipulations to accelerate the healing process. After my snow shoveling, I could barely move, walking bent over and needed help to walk into his office. I was able to walk out and the pain went from a 10 to 2. I had 2 more adjustments and then went back to my usual once a week visits and was back to normal. I have been seeing Dr. A once a week for the past 19 years for maintenance of back and neck, and now I continue to see him 3-4 times a week. My body knows when I need to see him more than once a week, and he has always been accommodating. He is currently focusing on my neck as arthritis was indicated in my current xrays, and continues to adjust back, feet, shoulders as needed. As I approach 68 years of age, I feel blessed that Dr. A is part of my life journey. I don't think I would be able to walk 3-4 miles, climb 6 flights of steps several times a week or maintain two residences (heavy & light) house work. My quality of life would definitely not be what it is now! I have referred several people and will happily continue to refer people to this detailed oriented, highly skilled, considerate and caring chiropractor. read more

Guessing it's inappropriate to hug your doctor, so i'll stick with a yelp review. Went in very VERY skeptical, as I've seen all types of physical therapists / chiropractors / medical docs / acupuncturists / even those specializing in sports therapy for my neck. A solid decade of muscle relaxants, electrodes, massages, etc... TONS of time, money, and hope down the drain :( Physically couldn't go into work yesterday and today so thought I'd give him a go~ wow. i want a beer to celebrate. Doc was honest and confident. It's literally been just 30 mins since i saw him, so perhaps I shouldn't prematurely celebrate. But if he can deliver on his "promise to fix me," I'll have to name my next cat after the man. Fingers crossed, will update in a few weeks. read more

I love coming here! He helps with my headaches and chronic should issues. He's been around for ages and definitely knows what he's doing!

The best. I have never been to one, tried repeatedly to correct my headaches and achy body with acupressure. I had no idea the importance of having your vertebrae aligned and adjusted. Alan was incredible informative, professional, personable and skilled. I recommend him highly. I also recommend getting the X-ray, if your not against it. It's good to see where the problem is. His office had the best energy, not to mention he has my favorite massage therapist in New York working with him, Rachael -- it's a Win-Win! read more

Spring Street Chiropractic - Chiropractors Near Me - New York, New York

Dr. Allan is a life saver! I had a really bad neck injury and he not only took my appt on the same day, he spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions. When it became clear that my case was more complicated than originally anticipated, he had me come in three times in one day for the price of one adjustment. As a self employed fitness pro, I really appreciated that. He is diligent, kind and very good at what he does- I recommend Dr. Allan to all of my clients! read more

Dr. Allan has helped me with several work related lifting accidents (pinched nerves) as well as these vertebrae that had been out of place for years and sticking out. In ONE adjustment Dr. Allan used his knowledge to fix it each time! Dr. Allan also has these specific techniques that are unique and work very well as opposed to chiropractors that I used to see in Chinatown. Thank you!!! read more

Dr. Allan is an honest and excellent caregiver. I wish there were people like him in the medical field...The absolutely best in NYC.

I'm always skeptical when it comes to chiropractors, but this guy is making me believe again. 2 weeks ago I got really bad upper back pain which made it difficult to function, and no matter what I tried I could not shake it. Advil, Light Cardio, Warm Showers, Stretching... didn't help. Walked into Dr. Allen's office yesterday and within two sessions my back pain is down 80%. Today is the first day in two weeks I did not take any pain meds. He's nice, personable, educated, and honest. Worth a shot. read more

Dr. Sicignano is excellent. Had pain that he mitigated in 3 weeks - just 5 sessions. Wonderful doctor & kind person. Definitely go!

Dr. Allan has miracle working hands. I had strained my lower back and hadn't been able to walk for 4 hours yet he worked on my back (painless) and cleared up whatever was causing my pain. He aligned my spine and pelvic bones (painless as well). I have lower back pain that is genetic and he fixed that issue as well!! I am just so happy I can walk again and feel like a new person. My husband has been going to a physical therapist for years to work on his shoulder problem but saw minimal improvement. Needless to say Dr. Allen saw him right after me and did his miracle work and for the first time in years my husband is not in pain!!! I can't recommend Dr. Allen enough. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented. If you have been suffering with neck, back or shoulder pain I recommend you see him! read more

Dr Allan is the absolute best. I've been going to him for about a year or so and he truly is a life changer. Not only did he improve my posture but he also figured out my condition that had caused me other underlying health issues which he also managed to fix. He's a great conversationalist and he knows everything about everything, I've gone to him with completely unrelated issues and he still gave me great advice. He's also always available to his patients, even when he's not in the office he's just a phone call away and he always makes time for his patients and that's very hard to come by. I've had a couple of emergencies where I couldn't go to his office and I would call him and he would talk me through it and help me out. Im so glad i stepped into his office by chance because otherwise I would have missed out on the best! read more

I read the positive reviews and thought he could help with my neck and shoulder pain because I fly a lot and spend long hours in front of a computer. I've gone to other chiropractors before in other cities and I have to say Dr Sicignano was one of the worst I've had. He's a real scumbag. I explained my symptoms to him and he first asked if I had been in a traffic accident. I told him no I had not. He proceeded to downplay my condition and said it might be psychological. He then tried to make a quick buck off of me by upselling me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. He started with a series of X rays, scans, and tried to sell me a brace. At first I was open to this but it seemed odd as none of the other chiropractors did this (they usually just felt around my spine and shoulders as I lay on a table and did adjustments/physical therapy). After looking at the X rays (cost $150!) he concluded there was nothing wrong with me. He said my right shoulder might be a bit imbalanced. Then he led me to the table and did a 10 second evaluation and adjustment. Then that was it. He asked me when I was coming in next time to do additional X rays and for further adjustments. I did not schedule another appointment. read more

As someone who grew up with two chiropractic parents, I have a VERY high standard for chiropractic care. My parents are always my go-to for adjustments and massages but when I travel I've had to try out a lot of different chiropractors when I have neck/back pain or need a tune-up before I'm able to travel home. Dr. Allan is by far THE BEST healer I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon!! Last week I woke up with an extremely painful earache and was told by a typical mainstream doctor that I had a major ear infection. He prescribed an antibiotic, a decongestant, as well as a pain relieving ear dropper medication. Since I haven't had to have any medication in YEARS I decided to try an alternative route before taking anything. My mom called around and found Dr. Allan who saw me right away within an hour!! And within 45 minutes he took my pain level down from a 13 out of 10 (it was really bad) to a 6 or 7, absolute miracle work and I was able to continue my day! I came back the next day and had absolutely zero pain within 24 hours. I've always known chiropractic care to be a helpful and preventative health care practice but to have a powerful healing experience like this was mind-blowing even to me. It was all jaw/neck tension manifesting as an earache, absolutely no need to be on an antibiotic or medication of any kind! From the moment I walked into his office, to my third treatment coming up later this week, Dr. Allan has absolutely delivered above and beyond as a healer. And I can attest that he truly cares as he has been so flexible with my last minute schedule and emergency pain situation. I am so grateful to have a chiropractor I trust in New York since I will be here for work for awhile! He absolutely knows his stuff and I am going to recommend him to anyone and everyone that needs a chiropractor in the city. read more

You would be hard pressed to find a better chiropractor anywhere in the world, let alone NYC. The chiropractic adjustment is an art and when delivered by the hands of someone who is as skilled as Dr. Allan Sicignano the results are profound. Being a chiropractor myself and have been adjusted by hundreds of different chiropractors up and down the east and west coast I have yet to find anyone that comes close to Dr. Allan's touch and I give him my highest recommendation. When I graduated chiropractic school I wanted to learn from the best and was very fortunate to have practiced with and learned from Dr. Allan over the past several years. He primarily uses his hands to make the adjustments and sometimes will stretch you out on his manual traction table. He is well versed in a plethora of techniques but my favorite is the ones that involve getting your back "cracked." He gives a very precise and deep adjustment to the spine. Beyond the adjustment Allan also is very proficient in trigger point therapy where he loosens up the tender points in the muscles with his elbow. If you are looking for someone that gives a great manual adjustment in a low stress environment go see Dr. Allan Sicignano at Spring Street Chiropractic. read more

I've been working with Dr. Allan Sicignano for over a year now. A friend recommended him to me and said that he was the best chiropractor she's ever worked with. She was right! I do a lot of walking on a daily basis, and I need adjustments weekly and monthly. I go to Dr. Allan on a regular basis to make adjustments to my back and neck, and I walk away every time feeling fantastic. I'm actually going there right now. I'm addicted to how I feel after I get adjusted. He really knows how to get my body back into alignment in an efficient and affordable way. He's always on time and accommodating my schedule. I'd highly recommend going to Spring Street Chiropractic and working with Dr. Allan. It will be the best thing you can ever do for yourself! read more

This incredible experience at Dr. Allan's office has convinced me to bite the bullet and write my first yelp review! I have been very lucky to have had a few great chiropractor's in my life and I'm happy to have finally found one in NYC. About a month ago, I woke up with some extremely odd pain coming from my stomach/chest area. After 24 hours with no relief and the pain at a level 8, I headed to urgent care where they proceeded to tell me my gall bladder was inflamed and sent me on a 20 hour journey that landed me at the ER where they finally said they had no idea why it was inflamed and that I should just go home. I left the ER furious at the wasted time and not to mention insane amounts of money with my pain still at a level 8 or higher. The next day I was walking by Dr. Allan's office and decided to pop in because at this point I had nothing to lose. He was able to see me within an hour and as soon as he looked at me, he understood that my back was completely out of line - causing the irritation in my side and front. He adjusted me and I walked out a completely new person. He is a miracle worker and was able to fix me within 15 minutes, taking my pain from an 8 to a 3. I was floored and have been going back to him ever since. I would highly recommend him to anyone, what an amazing doctor who can really understand how your body works without running costly tests or prescribing additional medicine. Go now! read more

I wish there were a ten star review because that's what Allan deserves. I hardly know where to start in terms of describing what this man is capable of. If there is a more skilled, more effective, more caring, competent and knowledgeable chiropractor in the United Sates - forget about just New York - I'd be stunned and shocked. Dr. Sicignano is absolutely above and beyond any other chiropractor who has worked on me. I met Dr. Sicignano in 2001 through my now ex-boyfriend who was seeing him at the time for lower back pain. I started having a weird, undefined pain radiating through my right shoulder that was the result of my poor upper body workout techniques at the gym. I'd never experienced this kind of pain and could barely give an accurate description of it. Over the course of a few sessions and expertly targeted manipulations, the pain was eradicated, never to return. I was hooked and became a regular patient, getting adjusted at least once a month. Over the years, Allan has successfully treated several extremely insidious, painful and potentially debilitating problems including two severe bouts of sciatica. The most recent occurred the week of Thanksgiving 2013. When I called his office on Thanksgiving day in utter desperation, HE ANSWERED THE PHONE. His first question was: "How soon can you get here?" I now live in Philadelphia. Dr. Sicignano sincerely cares about his patients, understands the pain you are in and does everything in his considerable powers to alleviate it, is extremely accommodating and easy going and has a very cool clientele. Don't be fooled by the low key, innocuous location or office setting - this guy has some very high-powered clients on both coasts. He is worth every dollar he charges, which isn't nearly as outrageous as you might think. He could charge me twice as much and I'd still only go to him. When you are in excruciating pain and think it will never stop, he performs what seem like miracles. But it's only because he is the absolute best at what he does. There are no other chiropractors I've ever met who can get the results he can. He has my highest and most sincere recommendation. And my deepest thanks for how he's come through every single time. read more

I was referred to Dr. Allan by two people who HIGHLY recommended him for his work. Having never been to a chiro before, I was certainly skeptical. I've had lower back pain for about 10 years now (27 year old) from sports. After multiple visits over a couple months, I have no lower back pain and completely off pain killers. Waking up every morning and not having to worry about how shitty my back will feel during the day is a huge relief. He is very accommodating in scheduling appointments and more than happy to work with you on conflicts. The office is clean and very accessible in Soho, near the 4/5/6. X-ray machine in the back is really helpful for getting a clear understanding of whats causing problems for you and visually seeing how off kilter you are! Anyone even considering a visit, should definitely go, no questions asked. Highly recommend! read more

Simply the best chiropractor I have ever seen. After a major car accident I had migraines, severe back pain, and very little hope. Allan has changed my life. He took me from a constant high pain level to functional in an unimaginable timeframe. I can not imagine what my back would be like without him. He has seen me for emergency appointments, made house calls, and truly cares about my well being and recovery. I am eternally grateful for the help he has given me. read more

I have been going to Allan for years--I call him every time my back acts up. I had seen other chiropractors before, but none of them hold a candle to Allan; he spends more time with his patients and does a good job of diagnosing the issues and making adjustments that address specific problems. Just recently I had a debilitating pain in my lower back. After one treatment I felt much better . . . then it flared up again, and Allan made time to see me twice in a 24 hour period because I was leaving for a trip. It seemed like a miracle, the pain was relieved for the entire time I was away! Like a true healer, he really cares about helping his patients to feel better, and I have great confidence in him. He's the best!!! read more

I have been going to Spring Street Chiropractic for about 5 or 6 years now. I used to see Dr. Nic Baiata, who was incredible, but he recently moved to Florida so I now see his uncle, Dr. Allen, who is also excellent. I have always received top notch care. I feel that both doctors have always been very honest, patient, and willing to explain to me exactly what the problem is and how my body is working; they don't just crack my neck and call it a day, which is the approach of some chiropractors. read more

Dr. Alan is the best. He's a lifesaver and truly cares about his patients. He has helped me after years of chronic pain due to a car accident. I had been suffering for so long I never thought I would heal. After seeing him regularly, I am now feeling better than ever, and only need to go in for periodic adjustments.
