I was here for a procedure that requires an overnight stay in the critical cardiac care unit. In recovery I had Larrice as my nurse. Amazing! caring, pleasant, and very well educated in her position. I felt lucky to have her. The reason why this was not a 5 star is I spent 8 hrs in recovery because somebody dropped the ball. I was eventually moved to the cardiac floor. where I had Micks, Caesar and Kim. Wow not one, but three highly skilled yet pleasant nurses cared for me. A huge thank you to all four of you. amazing.

Sunrise Hospital - Cardiac Ablation Experience (February 19)…read more I recently underwent a cardiac ablation at Sunrise Hospital, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team who cared for me. The day prior to my procedure, I was called for pre-op admission. Although it felt somewhat last minute, the process was handled beautifully. Felicia, who assisted me with the admission process, was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She gave me clear instructions on where to enter and what to expect. When I arrived, she made the experience comfortable and even shared a few laughs with me, which helped ease my nerves. She later completed my blood work and EKG with the same professionalism and warmth. She truly made a difference. When I first scheduled the procedure, Gabby was the initial point of contact. I am unsure of her department, but she was pleasant, thorough, and answered all my questions patiently. She set the tone for a positive experience from the very beginning. Upon arrival at Sunrise the morning of my procedure (5:30 a.m.), the staff at the entrance and security were professional and courteous. I was impressed by the updated technology at the entrance and the overall efficiency of the check-in process. At registration, Ashley assisted me with my admission. There was a complication regarding workers' compensation coverage, and she handled it with patience and diligence. She made the necessary calls and ensured everything was confirmed properly. I truly appreciated her effort and professionalism. On the morning of the procedure, the nursing staff who first brought me back were friendly and helped me feel at ease immediately. Karla initially seemed reserved (understandably so at that early hour), but once we got settled, she was wonderful. She was efficient, attentive, and even shared some laughs with me. She moved the process along smoothly and made sure I had everything I needed. First impressions can sometimes take a moment to warm up, and I'm so glad we did, she was great. In the operating room, I was genuinely impressed by the level of technology and coordination. It had been decades since I had been in a hospital setting, and I could clearly see how much advancement has been made. The room was filled with a highly organized team who worked seamlessly together. I was carefully connected to monitors and prepared with professionalism and kindness. Everyone was friendly, reassuring, and made sure I felt safe. Dr. Gururaj was outstanding. He was calm, approachable, and confident. He checked on me, reassured me, and helped keep the atmosphere positive. The entire team on February 19 working with him was exceptional. Although I cannot remember every name, I want them to know how much I appreciated their care. Post-procedure, the recovery nurses were attentive and accommodating. They provided clear instructions and ensured I was stable and comfortable before discharge. My friend was kept informed and brought back appropriately. The entire process felt organized, caring, and safe. I truly have nothing negative to say about my experience. Every staff member I encountered was professional, kind, and compassionate. I am healing well and grateful for the care I received. Thank you to Dr. Gururaj and the entire cardiac team for taking such good care of me. I hope the procedure was a success, and I sincerely appreciate everything you did for me. God bless you all.

We went to the Southern Hills Hospital ER on Saturday, 4/25/26 and within minutes they saw to my wife, and started her on an IV Antibiotic. Around 8pm they took me back there to see her, then around 10pm, they took her to a hospital room. We were told that they were going to operate on the infection and infected tissue on Sunday 4/26/26. She was cleared to leave on 4/28/26. The nurses, surgeon, and physician were all amazing. I am glad that she is out of the hospital now and the only thing to fear right now is the upcoming bill...

I would strongly caution anyone considering this hospital specifically the 4th floor. While other…read moreunits such as Labor & Delivery, ICU, or outpatient surgery may operate differently, my concerns are solely with the 4th floor care team. My mother has been hospitalized here for two weeks, and during that time we have experienced repeated and serious failures in care. Physical therapy orders were ignored, contributing to my mother going from being able to walk upon admission to now being unable to walk. A feeding tube was placed, yet she was not fed for three days due to the absence of a nutritionist. We requested a cardiologist and waited four days before one finally saw her. The list of issues is extensive. Most concerning at this point is that now that she is tube-fed, she is frequently left soiled and uncleaned. This is unacceptable and inhumane. I have photographic evidence of these conditions; while I am reluctant to share them publicly due to how disturbing they are, they do exist. I urge families to think very carefully before entrusting a loved one to this floor. What we have experienced reflects a lack of coordination, accountability, and basic patient dignity.

One clerk was eating his lunch at his desk while inputting and admitting patients to the ER. Cringy protocol. Quickly into emergency testing. All staff were multi-tasking and expedient in what their function was. When it came to doctor care, hit or miss. Most were caring, others non existent in showing up for two days. Some seemed intuitive, some clueless and making momentary patient decisions without all patient history, information and most important of all perspective. Was not fed for 24 hours once admitted claiming there is no food after 5:30 at night. Unfortunately once I had the information myself pertaining to my vitals I checked myself out against doctor's wishes. Endocrinology was a joke and had my hemoglobin numbers completely wrong trying to persuade me to inject insulin with incorrect information. I refused and checked out. A hospital doctor staff unfortunately cannot be a break-in house like a casino. I have mixed feelings because I truly think Spring Valley has a mostly caring staff but there seems to be training problems concerning the patient's perspective which to me is the most important thing there can be in this environment.

We got there around 12:25, there was about two people in front of us but the nurse took me back like around 12:45. There was one senior nurse and then there was one who was in training both of them were super nice super sweet and just made a very uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. From there I was taken to a private room now this room is not available for everyone there are rooms with just curtains but because of my specific condition I did get a more closed off room. From there I had a male nurse coming in he was also extremely nice and really funny which once again made an uncomfortable situation extremely comfortable. I'm glad I went to the ER because I also found out I had a bladder infection which I was not aware of. the only reason I'm not giving this a five star review is because of the doctor itself. I was disappointed that they did not have a female doctor just because my condition was in my genial area he did however bring in a female nurse, I think that her purpose was just to supervise because she just stood in the side and didn't put any input. The gender however was the least of my concerns that was just a preference that I would've liked. When the doctor came in he gave me the option of either cutting open the cyst or taking antibiotics. However he wasn't able to provide me with the benefits or disadvantages of either option he just said it's up to you which is really frustrating because I'm not the one with the doctor degree. I decided to go for the antibiotics because I did not feel comfortable him cutting me. After I made my decision the started to say that I would have a faster relief if he lets me cut it. And that if I wanna do antibiotics I have to follow up with an OBYN and all OBYN are booked. This is not his fault but I'm extremely disappointed with the fact that they don't have any OBYN on call. I feel like that's just such a lack of care for women. Especially considering how common the cyst are. Nevertheless he just made me feel like I couldn't find an OBYN with the side comments that he was making, and I was really disappointed that I am also his answers were it's up to you, knowing that I lack the medical knowledge and that's why I'm seeking it within him. I asked him if he had anybody that he would recommend me to his answer was there's nobody on call. I did find an OBYN that captured my attention on yelp and I mention that one he said that she's too popular that it would take forever for me to get an appointment. The conversation just feel very counterproductive. I was not impressed with the service from the doctor specifically. After he had examined me he went to write his report and I had a nurse come back to give me my antibiotics and prescriptions. I did have questions and concerns about how I should take my medication. What foods I should avoid and what foods I should encourage eating. What activities I can indoors and what activities I couldn't. The nurse said the best he could to answer those questions he unfortunately did provide some misinformation in some of them when I followed up with my primary. I just feel like the nurse is here should get more recognized and applied for the doctor because if it wasn't for them the quality of care and quality of service would have not been the same
