But 2021 is a new year with new opportunities. The Pahrump Valley Speedway is the closest short track speedway to Vegas that is currently up and running. I would normally go to the Bullring at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for my racing fix but they are still shuttered from what I can tell. So, Pahrump it is. One major difference to point out about Pahrump Valley, it is a dirt track. Imagine that, dirt in the desert. It doesn't get much more pure than a short dirt track to throw back to the early days of NASCAR. You've got guys running hard and fast in a variety of cars sliding around the high banks for the win. Its loud. Its dusty. Its exhilarating. This track is anything but fancy. Its old and looks a little run down. Aged wood structures. Wooden bench bleachers with no backs. Low level lighting in the turns on track. Absolutely zero lighting in the parking lot. There is a concession stand serving up burgers, hot dogs, pretzels, snacks, and drinks. It's a small and unpretentious facility. And a good bit of fun. I enjoyed my night out last night. It was the first "event" since the pandemic. It felt good to get out. That said, I do not intend to come here often. I mean, it is quite far from Henderson. A few more visits when I feel the need for a good dirt track race is not out of the question though.

I was told you could really burn through money there but IMO it was an excellent value! I have never been to an arcade in my life that has been a better value or even close to this one! This is not a huge place but it is packed full of fun modern games. I thought it would have old, run down arcade games, because again, this is Pahrump. But that was not the case at all. They have all the cool new games, claw machines, and really awesome trendy prizes the kids LOVE that you can purchase with the tickets you win from playing the games. The prizes are so cool and I guarantee you can take any child there and they will find something they like. There truly is something there for everyone. It's even fun for the parents! You can tell that this place really cares about children and providing a fun and safe place for them to play the games. This arcade is the opposite of a rip off! The claw machines are easy enough for the kids to play and win big! Our visit there was the most fun we have had in a long time, especially here in Pahrump. We also really Loved the little cafe they have there. I Loved the way it was themed, Super Mario (perfect!) The pizza there was pretty darned good! The staff was so kind and caring and they took the time to help you if you had any difficulty with any of the games/machines. In fact, they were happy to do so. Probably because unlike most businesses these days, this establishment is adequately staffed! Kudos to the owners, managers & kind, caring, patient employees. Extremely pleasant & polite staff. Good vibes all around. This is hands down the best place in Pahrump to take your child or children for an amazing weekend afternoon! They are only open on the weekends, so be sure to observe the posted hours of operation. My daughter and I were absolutely thrilled we found somewhere so cool in Pahrump! We can't wait to come back and play there again! They have great prizes for tickets and great prizes you can win out of the claw machines as well! They even have claw machines where you can grab a whole roll of tickets! They do recycle the plastic balls from the claw machines you can grab the tickets from so please don't throw them away! Just hand them in to an employee. They also recycle the Solo cups available to put your quarters in. So, please be aware of that as well. They have recycling bins throughout the place that you can drop your used coin cups and the plastic balls from the claw machines in, scattered throughout the place. I just feel bad because I didn't know that at first and so I did throw a couple of the plastic balls in the trash. I won't make that mistake again! I'm sorry Game Corner! A place that cares about our children, our town AND the environment? That's a winning trifecta for me and an establishment I am honored to patronize!

Great customer service A lot of fun games for my kids 8-12 and nice prizes that gives the kiddos plenty of different options. Only complaint is the burn the mess out of the food!!! I seen multiple people with burnt pizzas on the crust! So I asked the cashier to lightly cook ours, pleaseee and my kids pizza came out very burnt. & our order of chicken nuggets for my 2y niece was so black and hard that my mother in law took them back! They did bring them back less burnt but they tasted so off like chemicals it was so off . We will be back but we will stop at little Cesar's for cooked pizza for half the price, definitely eat before you come :)

We also had different levels of experience from never touching a gun to some experience over the years at firing ranges. I absolutely enjoyed my time here for several reasons. Ben (our instructor) is very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and great at teaching! I've been to a few places and this one is the best by far. He is fully engaged with you from beginning to end and is great at helping you improve your skills from head to toe. He is great for beginners, as well as, professionals. We will return to take more classes with Ben for sure.

There is minimal shaded area...I mean, imagine minimal and it's even smaller. I think 10 pool chairs (not lounge chairs) fit there...maybe less. There's plenty of seating, just not in the shaded area. 2. The lifeguards are on top of things. Score! 3. The pool isn't heated but you don't need that in June. It's Vegas weather...so the pool is 'naturally' heated in June. ;) 4. Locker rooms are clean 5. Parking is easy 6. No diving board 7. Also part of the festival was a vintage car show in the far parking lot, and what a cool sight to see! Who knew that Pahrump was a hot bed for vinyage cars????? The majority of entrants were locals from Pahrump, with a few coming from nearby states, but just hearing the owners talk shop about their "babies" was great. One owner had a collection of 5 cars in the car show, and every one of them were in such pristine condition! We perused the various vendors that were also on hand and also kicked it with some of the animals that were there too. Very cool place to relax and unwind while exploring Pahrump. I like to be left and alone especially after a long day at work where I'm trying to disconnect and recharge, they're great at keeping a distance when needed and also coming in closer as they read the room. If you are new in town I would recommend giving them a try, machines pay good when I go so either I'm lucky or they like me.

When I was there, they were in the process of repairing all of the outbuildings due to a recent rain storm, so I didn't get to see any of that, which was disappointing, however, the lady at the front desk was super nice and the exhibits inside the building where Very informative. Learned a lot about the Cotton industry in Nevada, who would've thought, as well as storage of nuclear used material in the local mountains and nuclear test sites nearby. Definitely recommended as a stop for anybody who happens to be in this quaint little town for whatever reason.

The Pahrump Valley Museum (Pahrump is derived from the Paiute word "Pah-Rimpi", meaning water rock,…read morereferring to the natural aquifer in the valley) does a great job of documenting the history of the colonizers that displaced the Native Americans that have lived in this valley for centuries. There are exhibits on the cotton industry (using the water in the aquifers to support agriculture) and the atomic bomb tests conducted nearby. There's a small native plant garden outside focusing on local plants, with lots of cool cactus. There is a lot of local history...but there is just one display with a few Native American artifacts. Admission and parking are free, although donations are accepted.
