He was super cool and accommodating. Did a half day in his carts and then got into the 2 stroke carts with spring mountain which were super fast. 2 full days of racing which went well with low traffic and good people. read more

Attended the 2 day Corvette owners driving school and had the time of my life putting a Corvette through her paces, driving them the way they were built to be driven. The instructors were incredible and the plethora of driving scenarios you are subjected too means your always doing something new. Track time, drifting on the skid pad, auto cross, 0-60 launches, competition... Clubhouse is spacious and the food was fantastic. I attended the 2 day Corvette Owner's School (COS). I was excited about attending the driving school and I was blown away at how much fun it was. There was an excellent balance of classroom instruction and instructor led instruction on the track. Serpentine, wet figure 8, ABS, Autocross, launching and track runs were taught. The instructors are beyond amazing. They provide specific coaching with what we did right and what we could do better. During our "lead/follow" track runs, we would follow our instructors. They coached us by driving in front of us and watched in their rear view mirrors to what we did right and could do better. It was really amazing. The accommodations on site were very good. And our breakfasts and lunches were also very good. If you're a C8 owner, take full advantage of the discounted price for the COS. If you're not an owner and still want to learn how to drive better in a great car, it's worth it. read more

I knew my Corvette C-7 Stingray was awesome and fun to drive, but after going through the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, I have a new appreciation for the engineering of the car. My confidence in what it can do has soared. The instructors were all great. To be perfectly honest, I was apprehensive about the school fearing it would be a macho fest. The instructors do a great job with encouraging students to push themselves, but all in a constructive environment. All instructors were amazing, but aspecial shout out to Ricco and Kai. Just finished a 2 day Corvette z06 driving school and it was the most fun I've ever had on a track. This was my 3rd performance driving school and by far my favorite. If you are looking to become a better driver, fine tune your skills or simply gain more experience on a track, I highly recommend this program. Not only did we learn so much more about our vehicle's capabilities that I'm for one wasn't comfortable finding out on my own on CT roads, but the instructors really helped me get to my best. All of the teachers were really patient with me and I learned something from each one through the 2 days. I especially appreciated being able to take turns in rotation, it provided each of us to be able to push it more and getting that one on one attention from the instructors a front of us ready to let us know how we can do even better. During your trip you actually stay at one of the condos on property and your view consist of a beautiful track and lines of covettes. The room is equipt with everything you may need but don't think for a second you would be spending much time in it. Class starts early and you will need your rest. Breakfast and Lunch is provided, all options seemed to be lots of veggies and lean proteins. Keeping hydrated through the day is encouraged and honestly it was the smartest thing I did. This course takes an athlete. Aside from learning to be a better driver I also learned that I'm out of shape. There are 2 more levels of a 3 day school plan, so I'm oficially starting a workout. The property has plans to grow, add an off road track and even a hotel. I can't wait to come back so I can enjoy all this place has to offer. read more

I came to this complex for a special private event. Some highlights was a hot lap in a Z06 Corvette driven by a professional driver. They made us wear helmets and I was thinking hmm why. Right after he started my head hit the Corvette 3 times in less than two seconds. I sure needed the helmet. In addition I drove 2016 Camaro, Colorado Duramax Diesel, Malibu, and Spark. Yes all of them 2016 or beyond. Thus no pictures. They went so far as to put red sticky tags over the both lenses. Good meeting and good time. read more

It's a guy's dream. I've driven Corvettes on the track and ridden in a Radical. If you've never ridden in a Radical, I suggest you do it at least once in your life.....it's much more of a thrill ride than any roller coaster. You pull 3+ G's in the turns with a Radical.....insane! There is nothing like this anywhere in the US....therefore it gets 5 Stars from me. The Spring Mountain Corvette Owner's school is a MUST DO for any new 'vette owner. GM sweetens the pot by covering $2500 of the $3500 training conducted by experienced race drivers and Corvette experts. The sole restriction is that the training be concluded within a year of purchasing the car. While SM is focused on driver education, there are activities and facilities for non drivers to use. The class includes overnight accommodation at their nicely appointed condos, as well as buffet breakfast and lunch. (As an incentive for summer month attendance, SM adds a second night of accommodations, dinner after Day 1, and an SD card for recording track runs) The training is conducted with Swiss watch precision, with a combination of classroom and driving instruction, including track driving and exercises exploring how the car behaves with the various driver assist modes on and off. Each owner is matched to the model of car and transmission as they own to maximize useful transfer of information. SM has over 100 Corvettes and 30 instructors, seven of whom were assigned to our class of 20 drivers. The class meets in the AM for a topical briefing, (summer hours were 0700-1500 with an hour for lunch) then splits into two groups, rotating through driving/familiarization or classroom training for the day, and the pace is appropriately busy, with very little "stand around" time. I have been involved in education at multiple levels of college and aviation, and I was impressed with the quality of training provided. Discussions were clear, to the point, and used meaningful repetition to reinforce important concepts. Each instructor was clearly selected for performance driving ability, providing excellent instruction, and interpersonal skills, and all adhered closely to the curriculum, enhancing retention of the information provided. YouTube has dozens of videos on the on-track driving, which is done lead/follow by the instructor and three or four students who swap positions after a couple of laps for their turn "in the barrel". The instructor drives a Camaro and conducts individual training by a rear view mirror and CB radio set for only the cars in the group. Spotters are placed around the course at known challenging turns and provide feedback to the instructor on a separate frequency. The ability of the instructors to see and correct errors or reinforce proper techniques with this setup is truly amazing. One thing to consider is the weather. Summer temps easily hit 110 degrees in Pahrump, but "it is a dry heat". SM provides a stylish blue plastic water bottle that actually fits securely in the Corvette's cup holder, and the school provides water coolers and Gatorade type concentrate, and the instructors remind students to stay hydrated. The cars are driven with windows closed and A/C on, so the actual time spent in the heat is limited, and was never uncomfortable, as the class ended just as the heat was reaching its maximum. The takeaways from the training were an increased level of understanding of the impressive performance capability of the car (my "pre-SM" comfort limit in spirited maneuvering was about HALF of what the car will safely do). Additionally, learning how it behaves "at the limits" with the driver assist features on and off was eye opening. No amount of reading the owner's manual replaces doing a maximum braking stop while steering the car as the ABS controls the deceleration, or doing a "wet figure 8" where the car starts slowly and under control, and the instructor says "go faster" till eventually the speed exceeds the ability of the car to maintain track. I don't know how I can fully express how great my experience at Ron Fellows Performance Driving School's 2 day Corvette Owners class. The cars were impeccable, but it was the instructors that really made the class worthwhile. The instructors are empathetic and patient and I really learned how to be a better driver - on and off the track. (As an aside, the instructors are absolutely adorable! I was a spectator for my husband's class, but I had to take the class so I could hug all of the instructors at graduation!) My husband and I are taking the three-day level one class this summer. I am looking forward to improving my driving skills and, of course, I hope to hug all these guys again! :-) read more

Well. I attended the event and it's awesomely great. I wanted to return but the sales office is very tough to deal and acting they are the world. It's more of if you come you come, we are not worried if you don't come. Our seats fill up quick and we do not care if you choose not to sign up. I want to return with my wife together to take the level 1 and also level 2. The event is 4 months away and I am making a reasonable request of placing small deposit and then charge me full amount at 30 days mark to the event. I am also willing to sign agreement that they can charge me full amount if we do not show up for any reason unless we were dead or our kids have life threatening-emergency. Their answer is no because it cost them to hold the spot? Seriously? What does it cost to hold spot? What is your loss if we don't show up and you still get to charge me full price? My issue is that they take big chunk of money "interest free" to spin and invest 4 months before the event starts! I don't see this is cool! Other than this, facility is great and i hope they would still want me as customers. I really enjoy driving there. read more

Being a 64 year old retired woman who decided to get a 2021 C8 2LT I knew when I first heard of Ron Fellows performance driving school I had to be one of those students and man am I glad that I did. I had the time of my life and yes, this girl took 3rd place for auto cross on my team and left there feeling a lot more at ease driving car after learning the capabilities of that fine specimen of a car. Wow!!! This place is amazing! Like my husband says, this is every mans dream. Great for the wives/girlfriends too who like to accompany their guys on track days. What a great set-up they have. So many fun amenities...pool, jacuzzi, gym, fire rings, outdoor bbqs, clubhouse, pool tables, amazing bathrooms in the clubhouse, clean/spacious guest rooms and the list goes on and on. I just got back from my second trip to SMMR, as a member of the Southern California Audi Club. This place is GREAT. I'm accustomed to tracks with less turns (Willow Springs and Button Willow), so the 17 turns here require LOTS of memorization. There's quite a few amenities here, but our focus was on driving, not swimming or using the putting green. Memberships are pricey, too. I suggest joining a club such as the SCAC to gain access to this first-class facility. Now all I need is a tire sponsorship... read more

Just came back from Spring Mountain with my husband who attended the 3-Day Corvette Owners Driving School and I can't say enough good things. My husband left Spring Mountain with the biggest smile and he can't wait to come back in the future. The program, country club, accommodations, and instructors were all TOP NOTCH! We stayed 3 nights in a condo, had breakfast and lunch at the clubhouse, and attended the class during the day. My husband was the student but I had the chance to ride along with instructors for nearly every exercise on the track. Every instructor was professional, informative, and honestly cared about the experience the student had. My husband is a speed junkie and had no fear when going around the track. The instructors were quick to recognize which drivers were more aggressive and those who were a bit more conservative. They then split the class into groups matching driving styles of the drivers. This allowed everyone to comfortably drive at their level. I can't say enough about the program, the staff, and the accommodations. I am nearly as excited as my husband about coming back for level 2! I just finished the two-day Corvette driving school at Spring Mountain and I have to say it was one of the best entertainment experiences I have ever had. The two-day school had a perfect blend of in-class sessions and hands on driving experiences. The classes were a mix of driver skill instruction and instruction on how to use ALL the features of my new Corvette. The hands on driver training went from basic driver skill exercises to on-track sessions that leveraged all you learned from the proceeding class room and driver skill exercises. What really brought everything together was the excellent staff that ran the program. The instructors were top notch and did a great job of communicating through all the classes and behind the wheel driving. The Spring Mountain property is simply amazing. Think of this as a country club for drivers. The tracks are well maintained and very challenging and make for an amazing driving experience. The facilities are also well maintained and have top notch amenities. Don't hesitate bringing your significant other and/or family members as there is plenty for them to do while you are participating. They even allow your family members to do ride alongs with the instructors and participate in the classroom events at no extra cost. If you ever get the chance to attend a Spring Mountain event.... DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! New Corvette owners get a great discount but even at full price you would walk away saying "That was more than worth it". just returned from the Corvette 3-day Level 1 course. What an absolutely outstanding time. The whole team at Spring Mountain is professional, courteous , and patient. Checking in with Donna is a breeze, and the condos on site are an excellent place to stay while attending the school. Rick, the lead instructor, is very passionate about creating a safe and pleasurable learning environment. His entire team is focused on ensuring that every driver in the course walks out with knowledge of threshold braking, heel-toe downshifting, and a well tested line on the 2.2 mile main course. The 10 turn 2.2 mile track has some interesting corners to learn over the course of your stay. Turn 4 is technical, but feels wonderful when you pull it off correctly. Turns 8, 9, and 10 either leads you onto the front straight with a smile, or cursing at yourself for missing the line, with the difference being staggering on exit speeds. The facilities are excellent, the trainers are excellent, the cars are well maintained, and the track is very enjoyable to learn and drive. I'll definitely be back as soon as time allows to gleam more knowledge from Rick, Rod, Riccardo, Victor, and the rest of the teachers. The star is not for the school my husband has been to 3 classes here and has enjoyed every part of it. The star is for the condo's (that's is on the property) that we stayed 2 nights in. The last day of my husband's class ended at 4 o'clock and I had to get out of the room at 11 o'clock. So that left 5 hours with nothing to do and wait for him... the experience was horrible.
