Amazing staff New Pro updated proshop with a few nice lines of clothing.New course management now in its second year that has made so many great changes to the this gem of a place. Every time I look I see a new piece of equipment and men at work. Yes some tees are bad they have to remove a few hundred trees but overall the condions are great. They just opened the new restaurant "Meadow 28". All new insides tables chairs flooring. All new restaurant equipment. With a new chef from a local country club. Very exciting to see all the new changes. Can't wait to come back. read more

Management has attitude, not afraid to tell you off. No drinking water on course. Kid drives around anf charges$2.00 for a bottle of water. New hole signs and tree trimming, with NO work on bare tee boxes. No bar building has weed growth on roof and gutters. Inside was not clean when closed in 2024. read more

Staff is great and did everything they could to accommodate our group. Management making plenty of upgrades to the course as well.

Staff was friends and hospitable, took bags and cleaned clubs at the end. Greens were in pretty good shape, rest of the course not so much. Fairways were pretty rough and tee boxes were mostly dirt. Pretty rough course considering it was 85$ ( with cart and saturday am) to be fair but seriously not worth the price. Will probably never return. Better off looking elsewhere in Monmouth county. read more

First time ever playing this course, where do I begin...I understand it is owned by State of NJ...shame..shame shame...wher is our taxpayer $ going? Not into this GC.. starting with the dirty bathrooms, unkept cart paths, ripped and torn hole flags, shabby tee boxes, and dangerous rotting trees and property building and bridges falling in disrepair...who in the NJ State is accountable for this mismanagement? I gave two stars because on the positive side for the avid golfer both the fairways and greens were in good condition and green fees were reasonable. overall, I can not recommend... read more

Course could be in better shape especially since they raised the price. One of the starters in particular was an extremely rude jerk that needs to be replaced immediately (instead of a friendly greeting I get "give me those clubs - you don't even know where your going". Also gave one of my partners a warning about wearing jeans. This is not Augusta. Will suggest to my league organizers to move the league unless changes are made beginning with the termination of that starter. read more

I played golf Saturday, 10/18/2025 with a foursome of friends at Spring Meadow. It was the worst experience I had in over 40 years of playing golf. I understand the golf course was purchased by new management this year. There currently are no rangers on the course, ball cleaners, refreshment carts etc.... However the worst thing that occurred was the 2 foursomes ahead of us had no idea how to play the game of golf. I'm not talking about their skills, I'm talking about anything close to ready golf. One example was they would walk 20 yards away from their cart without a club in hand and then had to go back it. I also saw some of their foursome hit 2 balls on the fairway if their first one went errant. I can go on and on. They would also hold conversations on the green after they were done. This happened several times. We had to wait every single shot during this miserable day. We were approaching 4 1/2 hours of golf when we approached the 14th hole. Therefore we had no choice but to leave the course and cut our loses. Our foursome paid the full amount for 18 holes and had to leave. This could have been alleviated if there was a ranger on the course to guide these ignorant golfers. If this keeps up I'm thinking there will be no customers left to improve this golf course investment. We could not be the only guests this has happened to. I'm hoping management will take this information and rethink the no ranger decision etc...thank you. PS. Will not return to this course and will advise friends not to endure a day like yesterday I had. read more

I played Spring Meadows this Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised, interesting sometimes confusing layout but all in all to play golf in Central NJ for $60 on a Sunday....Spring Meadows fits the Bill. I was annoyed as there was a 1 hour frost delay which really wasn't frost from what I can tell but it is what it is. The line to the first tee was at least 10 carts deep because of the delay. I learned that the course gets a lot of play. Decent practice range with 20 plus stalls, long enough to hit your driver. Mats are in good condition. Some of the tee boxes were in poor shape but I can see that they move the boxes around in hopes of reseeding the area. The greens were in great shape, no complaints. The fairways were in good shape for the most part. The cart paths in some areas need a lot of help. I would like to see yardage markers, no reason that they don't have markers on the sides of the fairway at the very least. There was a spot to purchase snacks and beverages at one of holes which was tremendous, this includes the availability of beer/cocktails. It was a nice day and the course will definitely be added to my groups rotation of courses. There was live music at the bar/restaurant as we were wrapping up which is very cool. I look forward to playing here again. read more

After seeing the reviews from 4-5 years ago, I feel like this needs an updated review. I've played this course 3 times now and I've had a great experience each time. The staff members are extremely friendly! Everyone is so helpful and informative regarding the course. The older gentleman who is the starter every time I have been there is hilarious and is super friendly(also informative about the course). As for the course, I've played on a wet day, cold day, and sunny day. The greens are in great shape. The fairways and well maintained and the rough is a true rough. Definitely club up! For the price of this course I would highly recommend going here and for those who have been in the past and did not like, try again. One of my favorite courses and I've played many at this price range. Will keep coming back! read more

Spring Meadow Golf Course - Golf Near Me - Wall Township, New Jersey

The course is in terrible shape. The cart paths are nothing but potholes. The golf carts are so loud you can't hear your partner speak. There are a number of t boxes that are closed. There is a bridge that collapsed. There is no where to get a bottle of water. More dirt then sand in the traps. read more

To be fair the greens had recently been aerated and the my round was played after several days of heavy rain. Accommodating staff, large putting green and driving range available. Would play a round again later in season. read more

Absolutely terrible course. The fairways were as if I was playing in my backyard and the Greens were hilariously bad. The price is low but I would play this course for free. The hole layouts are as if they just placed a few dots on a map of the land they owned and said "okay these dots are the tee boxes and these dots are the holes". I mean just seriously bad layouts. The only yardage markers they have are these HUGE colored caps in the middle of the fairway that are in 50 yard intervals. So if you are between clubs then good luck choosing one on yardage. "well this could be 140 or 130 and they didn't tell me wether the pin is front or back. Fuck it I'll just take putter" Don't go no matter the price. read more

If you go play this course go in the beginning of the season before it gets beat to shit. Short track and can be very slow. Some challenging holes with 15 being a cool driveable par 4 from elevated box. Will be in good shape if u get out there before summer. But I'd stay away come End of July n August. What happened??? 7th hole fairway burned up bad, tee boxes look like the moon, weeds everywhere, new owners cut back on herbicides??? The 13th fairway looked like the Mars rover should make a visit. That's the bad,.... The good, the greens were in nice shape, but slow. The 18th hole is gorgeous. A very challenging course, a tough test for $35, with some very different hole layouts. For example the 15th hole requires a straight shot from an elevated tee, thru a tunnel of trees to the fairway, which then has a really odd hazard in the perfect landing area, just short of the green, in other words the architect apparently penalizes you for hitting a perfectly straight drive of 260 yds. And you have to love the first hole, it's a conundrum that keeps me awake at night,....gotta give it 3stars just for that ability alone! read more

The worst service I've ever experienced at a golf course. The attitude of the gentleman in the pro shop was terrible. On a day that was cold and windy, with no sign of any other golfers waiting to tee off, he made me wait for my scheduled tee time simply because I booked through an online booking website. He looked me in the eye and said "if you paid full price, I'd allow out to tee off early." Keep in mind that the course CHOOSES to be a part of the website I used! Nobody forces them to participate. This course is 4 miles from my house and I'll never play there again. read more

Spring Meadow was always the fun and dumpy course to go to when you first were learning how to play and even the first or second round of the year when you're still rusty. It had its charm and I have a lot of good memories on this course. But it should have remained what it was. The state now owns the course and charges outrageously high greens fees. This course would be great at $35 for a round and a cart. Instead, you will be paying over $60. That's absolutely crazy. The funny thing is that it's the same old course. Very, very rude employees in the pro shop. I mean, if you hate other people, why are you working in a service industry. I never understood that. And the course itself is still a $35-$40 course. It's not like they've maintained it any differently or made any improvements to the course, they've just decided to start charging exorbitant amounts. It comes to this: Hominy Hill, Charleston Springs and Howell Park are all amongst the top 50 public courses in the USA and are all within 15 miles of this place. THEY ALL COST LESS TO PLAY THAN SPRING MEADOW! And Spring Meadow is lucky if it is amongst the top 100 public courses in NJ. The course is outwardly hostile to players using Golfnow or other golfing websites, which I'm guessing at this point is 80% of recreational golfers. They are behind the times, greedy, rude, and egomaniacal. But I've got some good teenage and college summer memories on this course, so it gets a 2nd star from me. read more

I had a really nice experience at this course. Not sure what other reviewers saw... Even had the pleasure meeting the course superintendent Mark, very friendly chap, and such a hard worker! He was all over the place, picking weeds, weed-wacking and mowing. He never stopped! Short course, great for prep for the season. Interesting layout that keeps you on your toes. read more

Decent course. But took 5 hours to golf. They allow walkers on the weekends. At a couple of par 5 holes we caught up to 3 groups infront of us. All on the same hole. Doubt I'd ever play on a weekend there again. read more

This course was ok.. and would've been 3-4 stars, except for what is seemingly a small issue that can easily and should've easily been addressed. My main qualm is that for $60/person, I would expect course maintencene, and specifically yardage markers to be present on each hole (at least on every par 5 and par 4, which they were not). I don't know about most amateur golfers, but I haven't played enough rounds to walk up to a ball and know by looking with my eyes if the flag is 160 yards away vs 135 yards, so I relay on those blue,white and red posts or plastic covers in the fairway to help me gauge what club to use, so that I don't hit a perfect 9iron that falls short by 20 yards because my mental yardage calculation and eye sight arent great.. Somehow this didn't bother others in my group (but I am a bit more competitive and recently after learning how to hit iron shots better, I like to know the yardage so I can try to hit to green.. a seemingly normal request? The most baffling part was, SOME of the holes DID have the yardage markers.. but it was completely random and arbitrary, and several of the par 4s and possibly par 5s had none. And yes, I realize that if this is important to me, I can pay $100 for a fancy rangefinder, or carry my phone with me on every fairway iron shot and use one of the free apps.. but I've played something close to 2 dozen courses over the past 6-7 years, and if I'm paying more than $35 a round, I expect the course to provide those yardage calculations as a courtesy, as 90%+ of all the courses I've played do (and clearly they already had the supplies to do this, but for some reason just neglected a handful of the holes to do it on). read more
