I didn't want her to be one of 1,000. Her classes at NCS have never had more than 18 kids, and in lower elementary, they were usually around 12. While most of the elementary staff was very supportive and well trained, I've been a little disappointed with the quality at the secondary campus. I would say that about 1/3 of them aren't certified by the state. True, most of those are in the elective classes, but there have been a few core teachers who are not certified as well. I've also noticed that the upper level teachers are much more dogmatic than those at the elementary campus. In the early grades, the focus was mainly on just being a good person and traditional Judeo-Christian values. The upper level teachers are a little more pushy and don't hesitate to condemn other groups. There is also very little diversity among the staff and student body, although this has improved over the last few years. The majority of the kids are still middle class/upper middle class white kids. Overall, though, I know that my daughter is expected to do more than she would be in the neighborhood school (because I teach in that district), particularly in math and science. I plan on keeping her in the school through the 12th grade.

The headmaster's reign only ended after multiple activist parents forced the issue. Student enrollment is down ~50% from a few years ago. Most enrollment decline happened due to the situation this year. The school is failing on multiple fronts. They literally did not have any established curriculum for most of the middle school classes. Multiple long-time teachers left the school in 2025 due to the degradation of the school leadership. The school is financially insolvent. The only reason the doors are still open is because the Chairman of the Board has appointed himself as the interim Headmaster (contracted through his child's graduation next year) after overseeing the decline of the school, and is writing checks to keep the doors open. Stay clear of this school!

Spring HS is your average HS, nothin fancy.......not all "brand new" or anything. This school has some awesome Teachers, Staff, & of course.....The Athletics Dept!!!! Now, there has been a major change in the Ladies Volleyball Coaches over the past school year (2011/2012-2012/2013) but I'm thinkin they're gonna get it right soon!!!! Please, please, get it right soon.... If, & I probably will at some time during this next school year, I was going to do a review solely on the Coaches....I'm not sure what the rating would be. Chances are with last years experience.....Not 5 stars!!! BUT, I am giving this school year coming up another chance seeing as how I will get to talk about more than just volleyball Coaches, & maybe, just maybe, they will redeem themselves after last school years fiasco. So for now.....I'll stick to the school itself!!! Very beautiful, yet again, nothin spectacular......Easy to find your way around. They have a beautiful auditorium, huge Gym (Gym #1) & then a smaller Gym (Gym #2) around the corner. Best believe that when in a Go Zone you'll hear everyone Jammin Pandora, their iPod, or local radio station!!!! Oh, & the days of "passing notes" is long gone!!! Go Zones let ya text, bump up your Facebook status, as well as post what Your daughter/son & their friends are REALLY doing in a funky cool lookin way on Instagram!!! I would be dishonest if I pretended not to feel relieved that my child has been removed from this school; however, the behavior of Mrs. Yates, the daycare owner, was incredibly disrespectful. Her communication skills are severely lacking, and she believes that hanging up on someone is an acceptable solution when she struggles to express herself effectively. I strongly believe that the attitude of management sets the tone for the rest of the staff, and it is evident that nobody here seems genuinely happy. Now that I have experienced this firsthand, I understand why this school is ill-equipped to handle three-year-olds at their developmental stage. The management's behavior mirrors that of the workers, and it is clear that changes need to be made. I sincerely hope that management takes this experience as an opportunity to learn, but unfortunately, their unwillingness to engage in communication suggests that they may never change. It is disheartening to witness such behavior from someone in a position of authority who should know better.

My son has been going to Oakdale for almost two years now. I see a few negative post and notice…read morethat most post are from when they had a different location and facility. The location and facility they are currently in is great! My son started at Oakdale at 9 months and is now 14months. He loves his teachers and everyone is very nice and attentive. He has been in two class rooms and they each have been very clean. I have also showed up at the daycare during the day for random check ins and every time all the children in my child's class have always been well taken care of and my child is smiling and playing. I have never witness any children in the facility been mistreated. The teachers I see at the school really love taking care of kids. If I ever had a problem ( one time my son was given the wrong formula, it was a honest mistake as my son and another baby had the same bottles and bottle bag ( what is the change of that :) ) and he had a very upset stomach. Oakdale was quick to take action and ensured that it would never happen again. It has never happened again and all his teachers apologized for the oversight. I ended up feeling bad for bring it up since everyone was so nice and sorry it happened. If a child does have a accident as all children will they give you a call as soon as it happens and provide you with a written accident report. The school provides breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner if needed!!!! They also provide milk and juice and formula (if you child is on the one they use). My son even though he is only 14 months loves to eat and the teachers ensure your children are well feed. My child has never had a diaper rash or any forms of neglect they ensure all babies are changed as soon as possible. If you have any special needs or request they also do everything to accommodate your request. I would suggest anyone that is looking for a professional daycare to visit the location and not just go off reviews from 2008-2010. It seems a lot has changed and this facility has been great for our family. Oakdale did not request I write nor have I been contacted by Oakdale. This is an honest review from a parent that feels safe in Oakdale's care of my child. I will say I am a very picky first time parent at the age of 36 and I shopped around for a daycare.

This year is a new principal, Ms. Cathy Jacobs is ridiculous! She offered me absolutely zero empathy or apology for any inconvenience to my circumstance. She simply repeated herself 3 times, as if I'm stupid or hard of hearing. I have enjoyed visiting with my children's teachers, peers, and most importantly my child at the end of the year holiday party. Apparently, there's a hard copy of a "News Letter" that I was suppose to receive and did NOT. I was suppose to get an email but got an email 2 day before the said event and the slots were full, when I sent 2 notes to the teacher 2 weeks prior to the event. My daughter said the teacher would email me and did not receive anything. This is not the first time that the lack of organization and communication has kept me from enjoying some time with my child. Oh and by the way, my email has not changed in 10 years! I am extremely dissatisfied with the principal her apparent lack of basic sense of humanity!
