As Covid has had a significant impact on the travel industry, it still leaves no excuse for a failure in Marriott's quality and standards. Being fully aware that each property is owned and operated by separate entities, I feel it's Marriott's responsibility to inspect what's expected. - Checked into room 102 w/ a King + Sofa Sleeper. Sofa Sleeper seemed to not have been clean as there were pubic hairs found on the sheets. The front desk was kind enough to provide new sheets, which we had to apply. - Next day asked to be moved to a Double, which we were offered Room 120. When arriving later in the day, found out 120 had been offered to someone else, therefore, were moved upstairs to 208 - Room 208 had windows where the seals were cracked (clouded and couldn't see out), tape all over the walls which had yet to be cleaned up from a possible party, dirty refrigerator, no toiletry items, mismatched lightbulbs (daylight mixed w/ soft white), missing lightbulbs, bathroom towel rack which was rigged, vanity towel rack which was falling off, shower did not work well and pubic hairs in the shower - Was advised there would be no housekeeping unless staying for 8 nights or more. With my status, a Monday cleaning was promised, however, after getting back from a 5hr roundtrip drive attending a funeral, came back to a filthy room. - When room was finally serviced, no toiletries were added, the vanity mirror was not cleaned and it was evident the room was not vacuumed. - Found a significant amount of water damage in the stairwells I'm unsure what exactly can be done, but my family and I are extremely disappointed. And most importantly, it seems attention to detail, upgrades, etc happen to change drastically between a points stay and a full revenue stay. This is not OK!

Dining area. This place is packed when the FREE complimentary breakfast is being offered!

Top Notch Customer Service and Great Location!!! My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott when we were in town for my cousin's wedding. Here is the list of why I really enjoyed my stay: 1. The room was very spacious with lots of in room perks: hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, pull out sofa bed, Paul Mitchell hair care products, coffee maker with Free coffee, Wi-Fi and iron with ironing board. 2. FREE coffee 247 located in the lobby. 3. Did I mention the complimentary Paul Mitchell hair care products??!! 4. There was a complimentary shuttle service to and from my cousin's wedding reception and you know what that means....we were able to get our drink on!! 5. Top notch customer service: the front desk clerks were always friendly which made checking in and checking out a breeze, housekeeping knocked on our door 30ish minutes after we arrived in our room to make sure we were happy with everything, and the staff in the breakfast area were always pleasant and kept everything stocked. Overall, the staff was amazing. 100% 6. Staff made us truly feel welcomed. 7. Plenty of complimentary on-site parking. Parking lot is well lit so we always felt safe going to our vehicle. 8. If you're 62 years or older, you can save at least 15% on your room rate! 9. Conveniently located to major highways for easy access to local attractions. Right on I-55 at I-294. Great location! 10. While we were checking in the front desk clerk recommended we try a lovely restaurant in Burr Ridge called Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant. Great recommendation!! 11. At night when we were trying to go to sleep all we heard was silence...no city sounds...no kids in the hall...no drunk people....just silence. 12. The complimentary Paul Mitchell hair care products!! Whoop! 13. In the mood for a midnight snack...well then check out the 24-hour Market which offers tasty snacks, wines and local craft beer. Here is the list of why I'm only giving 4-stars: 1. The bed was way too soft. I was barely able to get 4 hours of sleep but hey what can I say: I prefer a hard bed to sleep on. #dontjudge Overall: A solid 4 stars! I will be back to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott because they offer top notch customer service and are conveniently located to attractions! I highly recommend!

We came here due to having our bathroom being remodeled. We were here for 1 week. We were on the…read more1st floor and 3 different rooms due to a big family. The first thing you notice when you walk in is an unusual smell that lingers. Its a musty smell mixed with smoking / vaping smell. The rooms were a little outdated. 2 rooms had half carpet and half pergo. 1 room had pergo. Kitchenettes have no kitchen utensils, pots pans, etc. Apparently you need to request these things at the front desk. We didn't use any of them. We went to Target and bought paper products, and cutlery. Wi-Fi is wonky. If you want a stronger connect you have to pay extra. Rooms were a bit outdated that needs some touchups on the walls. The bathroom has no vent so if you like hot water keep the bathroom door open. If you look at the shower ceiling, it has like yellow water marks on top due to no ventilation. The fridge makes tapping noises during the night. Which freaked me out thinking someone was knocking on the door. The windows do open so to get a nice breeze in in the afternoon. But since we were on the 1st floor facing the parking lot, we locked them at night. Overall, would I stay here for a vacation? No - no pool to keep kids occupied either. Would stay here in case of an emergency? sure. We basically slept and showered and left for work.

Ick. It's only a two star hotel so what did I expect? A few pluses. The desk staff were helpful…read moreand friendly. The shower worked real well. The bed was relatively comfortable and clean. Major negatives. When we arrived there were folks trapped in the elevator waiting for the fire department. Front desk printers busted so we couldn't get a paper receipt. When we checked in we were immediately given the room at no cost due to earlier reported smells. Room didn't smell but seemed musty. The bathroom sink was disconnected. I bet there had been an overflow and whatever happened had affected the carpet. The Kitchen sink had no drain strainer and looked disgusting. Especially since we had to wash and brush our teeth there. There's a mix of people. Looks like some long term renters, budget travelers and well-dressed folks needing a place when the entire city seemed totally sold out. Free breakfast--a few muffins, health bars, oatmeal packages and coffee.

While visiting Chicago, my husband and I ended up choosing to stay at Best Western Plus Chicagoland…read more- Countryside because staying in Chicago is really expensive and thought staying at this location was still within a very reasonable amount of driving distance to Chicago. My husband and I ended up staying for about a week here and checked in rather late on a Tuesday night, around 9 pm. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us 2 bottles of water when we checked in. We ended up being placed at the very end of the hallway on the first floor. This room was right next to the side exit and also right next to the vending machine and ice machine. Unfortunately because of this location, it was noisy in the evening with people getting ice at 2 am and later or coming and going out of the side exit at random times of the night (and these guests were not courteous to be quiet with the rooms they passed by). The next night, we had asked if we could change rooms and the same employee who checked us in the night before said there were no other rooms available and said "it is what it is"... a bit disappointed by his lack of help so we just stayed in our room for the rest of our stay with interruptions throughout the evenings (if you end up getting this room, I would recommend you ask to move to another location, especially if you are a light sleeper). The room itself was fine in terms of cleanliness and room. We stayed in a room with a king bed that also had a mini fridge and microwave. Our room also had free WiFi and free breakfast (6 am- 9 am on week days and 7 am- 10 am on weekends). It was a full breakfast, that included eggs, sausage, various cereals (cold and hot), make your own waffle, bread/ pastries, coffee, tea and yogurt). There is also one washer ($1.50 per use) and one dryer machine ($2.25 per use) on site available for use (which we ended up using one night). They are both coin operated. There is also a gym on site was that had 2 treadmills, one elliptical, one bike machine, free weights, one lap pull down bar and one bench. There was also plenty of clean towels available. I did use the gym twice during our stay and thought it was fine for me. Overall, our stay was okay. I would have liked something a little nicer but I think for the price, it was acceptable. I think the trash did need to be taken out more often though, as the trash can by the vending machine + ice machine was full and people started to just pile their trash around it since it no long fit in the trash can. Just remember, if you do stay here, request for another room if you are placed at the end of the hallway on the first floor that is by the side exit, vending machine and ice machine.

So I'm going to be generous here, even though the star rating may be closer to a high 3, but the…read moreplace overall is actually a nice hotel. The staff were friendly. They addressed issues and had i not been so tired every time we came home, I'm sure we could have had the problems solved or room moved for a better overall experience. But the reality is, some times, sh!t happens. And in our case.. the toilet ran all night! They did say they sent someone up the next day to fix, but sadly it was not fixed. When i checked out, i let the girl behind the desk know and she really didn't express any concern that perhaps a dissatisfied customer was leaving the building. Overall though the room and hotel was nice. The air freshener upon entering the hotel was VERY OVERWHELMING! Thankfully it was not like that on the room floors or in rooms. Ample parking. And good location for our needs. If i came back to the area, I'd likely look for another hotel simply because of being dismissed at checkout. But in general it's not a bad hotel.

Recently stayed 2 nights. I BOOK HOTELS WITH BATHTUBS - and that is harder and harder to find…read more What I loved: The location on RT 83 is good. The decor is updated. Rooms are modern and the overall decor is very neutral. The lobby and halls are clean and attractive. And, the breakfast buffet for $10 was very good. Not a huge selection but what was there for the price was good. Customer service was also very responsive and good. What was very good: The bedding was Marriott quality. I loved the feather pillows. I slept well. I loved the double chain-pull roll-down shades that went across the wall of windows. I appreciated the wall thermostat that controlled the wall heater. I liked the coat hooks on the wall at the entry-way. What disappointed me: 1) bathtub --- I had a tub but could not take a bath because there was no stopper for the drain. I called and requested one and was told my room had a type that does not have a plug. While that is true, if the hotel cared to do so, they could find rubber stoppers that could fit over the drain. 2) the water pressure in the bathroom for showers, 3) no slip resistent strips on the tub floor and no handles to prevent from falling --- this is a serious issue that the hotel must address. 4) Coffee available in lobby during limited hours. What was bad: 1) The online menu for the restaurant Willbys is very very different from the actual options and very disappointing. I was looking forward to dinner night 2 after reviewing the menu but in the restaurant they had a very small menu. Of 3 salads, only 1 was available. Three entree options and I already had salmon elsewhere for lunch. I didn't trust getting a steak of champagne chicken. I got a burger and I never eat burgers but with that said it was very good. My side salad was tiny and just ok. Would I return? Probably not.

She took my information and said that manager would get back to me. As of 2:56 PM CST I still have not heard back from this manager . So now I'm going to contact corporate. I do not recommend this location I also saw someone else say that they had an issue with billing and it took them for phone calls it should never take that long to get somebody their money back when it's justified. Update: just happened a few moments ago can guarantee that I will not be returning. At 10p, 5/13 I received a charge on my card for this reservation that I didn't even stay. I left and went to another hotel, a Sheraton. When I went to Delta on Friday evening, their credit card system was down and I had to write my credit card number on a form. When I explained to the man at guest services that I could not stay there he said that my reservation was canceled & apologized for the unsatisfactory conditions. I noticed in the app when I was one day away from checkout at the Sheraton, my visit still showed up in the app. I messaged them in the app to tell them that the reservation was still showing up, they canceled it on their end and said that the reservation was canceled. At 10 PM, on Wednesday May 13, I received a charge for the visit I did not stay. I called this location and the representative that I spoke to said he couldn't help and I had to call back in the morning to speak with the manager. Apparently his manager that was there could not help. I'm not happy about this at all and this is not what I expect from Marriott.
